My wife and I stayed as a couple for 3 nights at Rosa Salva in the Superior Double Room with City View. The location is very good for someone visiting Venice for the first time. The staff at the front desk is very efficient and friendly. Should you have any queries about events or similar in Venice during your stay, do reach out to them, they are very helpful. The hotel has a small elevator that goes all the way up to 3rd floor. The rooms are air-conditioned. The room is nice sized and well lit and airy. Since the hotel is surrounded by other buildings of similar height, choosing a higher floor might be better for someone who likes their room brighter and more airy. The lighting inside the room is very well done as well, so it's nice and bright at night too. All-in-all our room was well designed and put together, and the bed is comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent, and the room is spotlessly clean. A couple of beverages in the refrigerator, some refreshments, and crackers and jam are complimentary and replenished daily. The Hotel has a very popular bakery next to it. It seems to be on the tourist map so it's almost always quite full. Guests of the hotel get a 10% discount. The bakery opens at about 8ish in the morning so in case anyone has any excursions planned for 9-10am, they could pick something up and head out. This is a very popular bakery and while I didn't eat much here, I could see many others enjoying the goodies. There is a pizza and pasta place around the corner (it opens in the afternoon I think). The pizza and pasta I ate there were both excellent, and they also offer soft alcohol and beer etc. If you can afford the prices and are in Venice for the first time, or are a repeat visitor to Venice and want to stay near St Mark's Square and about, I would recommend Rosa Salva.

Venice is expensive and so is this hotel. One is paying for the location and the city. I would have liked a bit more variety at the bakery. Not into eating too much bread to start the day, and guess what's most amply available at a bakery :-D

Clean, spacious, well located. The room was lovely.

The only complaint is that the staff in the adjacent bakery which is where breakfast is taken was extremely rude and generally unpleasant. They can be avoided by opting out of breakfast service and just patronizing any number of other spots close by. I understand that serving tourists is taxing for the local population but open hostility toward those who provide one’s livelihood just can’t be rewarded with captive business. The hotel would be wise to decouple from the bakery and partner elsewhere.

This hotel was a little gem in Venice! It was in a great location half way between St. Marks Square and the Rialto bridge. Lots of restaurants were close by and the bakery that is attached to the hotel was terrific! I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat!

Our room had 2 stairs up to the bathroom which was difficult for us to negotiate, especially in the middle of the night, due to bad knees. The hotel should have had a notation on this room before you book it.

The customer service was better then a 10. From the pick up at the airport and drop off next to the hotel it was true door to door service. They had everything from breakfast to even lending umbrellas on a rainy day. Would definitely recommend this place of traveling to Venice. Only a 2 min walk from all the attractions within the city. Can't wait to make to come back and stay here again.

I believe this is a European thing and since I'm fro. The US the bed could just be a little softer. This is not on the hotel this is on culture because I do not believe they have done anything wrong but this option of having a softer bed would make us westerners so happy and would just set this hotel over the top.

This was a well-kept hotel in close proximity to San Marco square and the waterfront. There were many restaurants close by. The staff was very helpful whenever there was a question and assisted us in getting transportation to the airport at the end of our stay--no easy task in Venice. The location, though convenient, was also quiet. We would stay here again.

There is no breakfast served at the hotel, which is different from other hotels of similar cost in Venice. There is a very nice patisserie attached to the hotel with a 10% discount for hotel guests, but it doesn't open until 8am, a problem for people who like to get going early. But that is a small quibble in an otherwise very satisfactory travel experience.

Location is very centric and near to St Marks and Rialto Bridge. The pastry shop, which also doubles as a lunch place, is superb. Antonio, at the front desk, was also very nice, friendly, and helpful.

We stayed at two different rooms. One had a larger bath, very spacious. The other room had a very small bath, not very spacious, actually felt a bit snug. We had to haul large pieces of luggage from St. Marks, no knowing that there was a porter service. Because there is a bridge right by the hotel coming from St. Marks, if you are carrying heavy luggage, it may be very challenging to climb the stairs to get to the hotel. I wish we had been told that there was a porter service at the water taxi station.

We loved everything about the Rosa Salva having just stayed for 3 nights in a comfort room. The location was just perfect, we loved the bakery next door for breakfast every morning, rooms and beds were clean, comfortable and modern. We will stay again in our next trip to Venice.

The only point that would have made our stay better, although there is a smart TV and Sky there were no english channels and it wasn't hooked up to the wifi so we couldn't access our own netflix, Sky etc. Not a major point for such a short stay and we aren't in Venice to watch tv but my husband is a major movie and sports buff so it's always the first thing he looks for on arrival in the room.
