Staff were very friendly and helpful especially the day and night reception/lobby staff. Breakfast was nice and hot also very friendly staff. Pool was nice. All round very lovely hotel. Will definitely return.

We order a Sandwich one night from room service. Cheese and shallots toasty. Well we was very disappointed it was basically a two slices of bread with mealted cheese with about 5 pieces or red onion in it, which cost us £17 in total £11 for sandwich and £6 waiter fee. It wasn't how much it cost that disappointed it was what we got... VERY DISAPPOINTED. Not even salad on the side. Way to pricey for what is what.

Friendly and helpful staff, for example, I asked for a little more tea and got given a large bag of tea, sugar and milk from the man at reception. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were really friendly. The room was spacious. The pool was nice to be able to use and we spent time there after we'd checked out and enjoyed a little swim, sauna and time in the hot tub. Handy to have parking nearby which didn't cost extra. The room was lovely and quiet at night. Happy with our stay - thank you!

The window didn't open in the room which made it feel a little stuffy and I would have liked to get some fresh air circulating.

From start to finish was pretty much a positive experience! It was my first time & certainly not my last time visiting. As soon as I walked through the door I was met by a very positive man behind reception (I forgot to get his name) but he was warm and welcoming which put me at ease straight away. Every staff member I encountered come to think of it were positive and smiling :)) The rooms are quite spacious and very clean. I slept through with no noise whatsoever.

The only thing I would add unless I missed it accidentally would be the food menu. From what I saw was the only meaty meals were a basic burger (which I had) or a steak. maybe adding lamb chops, pork chops or wings or something then it would be 10/10 (more options essentially) However the ambiance was very chilled and relaxed in the dining area. First of all me and my partner came from Germany 🇩🇪 and we wanted to have a stay somewhere nice in reading just for three days . And boom as we were on booking.com we came across the Voco reading hotel . Staff is very nice and welcoming . We had everything we needed we booked for premium king 🤴 and it was one of the best rooms . Free drinks were provided on the first day . The view at our hotel was good . The food was delicious we had breakfast and dinner there . The staff working in restaurant are very friendly anything you like . You feel free to order and they will just come to you . Swimming pool was good. Nice and clean pool . Hope To come back again maybe at the Voco Hotel Reading . Guys I recommend you book it and you won’t regret. STAFF IS SO FRIENDLY easy to get to town just 10 mins with a car .

Maybe the toilets in ladies bathroom for swimming area could get more clean .

For me it was perfect the bed was big and very comfortable the room was smart and modern with a brilliant shower. The breakfast was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would 100% definitely stay hear the next time I'm in or near Reading.

I'm being a bit picky here lol there was Cumberland sausage on the menu for breakfast we had them on Saturday but on Sunday and Monday they where not Cumberland sausage they were just standard sausages and they didn't taste as good.

Brilliant location being attached to the Select car leasing stadium, so ideal for watching Reading FC playing home games. Fantastic large windows and although there wasn't much of a view, it was perfect to see the football players walking from the training ground into main stadium. Room was lovely, beautiful big comfortable beds and nice size shower. Very large room with plenty of space. The staff were fantastic. Restaurant was good size and food was delicious. Nice idea with the couple cans of drink and packets of crisp left. Very quiet location.

Toilet was a little cramped and probably wouldn't be ideal for a very tall person, having little leg room. Also shower area could gave been a bit more private and have doors on either sides instead of only the one. Nowhere to leave a towel in shower cubicle, so you literally had to step into main open bathroom to dry and dress. Also, although the room was mostly clean there was a bit of dirt hanging over wooden cover over the bed.

Free parking with loads of space. Breakfast was delicious. There’s a retail park close by and soft play for kids a little further up. Also Green park is in walking distance, fab for walking by the lake. Lovely, professional staff. Beautiful hotel

Served bottled water when we asked for tap (they kindly refunded when they asked upon check out). They didn’t mention that you need a token to exit the car park. Both are just minor inconveniences and definitely would not put us off coming again! :)

The room was a great size - perfect for our family of 5. It was well presented and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was lovely. All of the staff we met were brilliant - very friendly and helpful and welcoming to us all, including the kids. We enjoyed the pool, which was a big reason for choosing the hotel. Overall, an excellent stay.

Some areas have clearly been updated, such as the bedroom, reception and restaurant, which looked great, but the bathroom and pool area could do with a little sprucing up. However, it was all functional and clean.

The room was lovely, we had lots of room and twin sinks in bathroom area. I liked the atrium bar and the food and service was excellent. Great range of food choices for breakfast and fruit was fresh. We used pool and facilities and they were clean and towels were provided

Nothing really was wrong. A spinning costume drier would have been helpful after swimming. Pillows on bed were really soft and we are used to firmer ones, so had restless night

Loved the way the room was laid out , quite different than a conventional room; even though the view from the window was not amazing , it was still quite cool; beds were comfi; the sauna and the pool were quite decent , the breakfast was quite good as well and the coffee was great . The restaurant was visually very pleasing but we did not eat there as we went out for a meal

Some people had a slight issue with the toilet not being too private due to the lay out of the room - this did not bother me personally
