The hotel is well kept (or look new). Its location is perfect, easy walk/with escalator and underground passage to Hakata station. There were many front office staff, and they were quite helpful--with restaurant reservation and luggage forwarding. The room was small but adaquately designed so it did not feel stuff. For my long stay, cleaning was done every 3 days which was good for privacy. We had a good stay.

I was asked to read a bunch of information at check-in but honestly did not catch it--so I was a bit surprised (and did not pack my belongings well) to have the room cleaned after 3 days. It would have been nice for the front desk to be more specific--at the Osaka REI, they actually gave me a note indicating exactly what days the room will be entered for cleaning so I was able to prepare for it.

Hakata Tokyu Rei offers amazing value for money. The breakfast included in the price was just right in variety and absolutely delicious. The shower is fantastic, with excellent water pressure and an innovative showerhead that includes a unique back-spray option, which was surprisingly relaxing and refreshing after a long day. Its location is excellent, hidden in a quiet alleyway just a short 10-minute walk to Hakata Station, making it convenient yet peaceful. While there’s no view, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Highly recommended!

The hotel is relatively small, the reception is somewhat squeezed so you cannot hang out there. Same goes for the eating area. The staff is kind, but with only basic English skills. My room was small, but had enough space to move around, was very clean and included all the necessary amenities. The location is the best thing about the hotel, right next to the station, so it is easy to navigate the city and places in its neighborhood.

The room was quite noisy, even though the hotel is a bit off the main street.

This hotel is very convenient, just few minutes to the Hakata Train station and Bus station for the airport. Also, within walking distance to Canal shopping and the tourist spots such as the Kishida Shrine, Tenjin Shopping and others. The breakfast was the same everyday, but it has wide varieties to choose. The staffs are very helpful and they make sure the taxi arrived for you.

3 of us shared the Concept Room (on the 13th floor) with better security and other amenities. The size of the room is quite small and cramped for 3 paxs. No space for 3 luggage and a comfortable seating area in the room.

The hotel is about 2 minutes walk from Hakata station with lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. Good breakfast to start the morning. Tea and coffee station in the lounge until 9 pm. The shower with massage function is a great addition to a good size (Japanese standard) bathroom.

The comforter is a bit thin, I had to ask for an extra blanket in order to sleep comfortably in the coldness of January.

The breakfast area is packed during rush hour but the selection is great! We enjoyed the breakfast a lot. The room is clean and comfortable with a spacious shower room. The location is spot on, right next to the Hakata West 5/6 exit and a family mart is around the corner.

It was difficult to fully open my suitcase due to the space inside the room.

The location is great, around 10 min walk from Hakata main station. Their beds are very comfortable, and the size is not bad for 3 pax, considering it's in Japan. However, the staff collect a Hakata city tax, which doesn't apply to hotels in other cities. Their breakfast is also good.

They should have stated the city tax collection, and if they could provide mineral water or glass cups in the rooms, that would be great. Now, they are using sustainable plastic cups, which may not be cleaned for us.

Only 2 washer dryer units. One on 6th and one on 9th floor. Had to keep checking if vacant. Perhaps a unit on each floor would be helpful. Or, reserve times for use.

Amazingly close to the Fukuoka Hakata JR station. Extremely clean rooms. Very generous sizing by Japanese standards. Huge bathroom! Amazing shower with multiple jets - very relaxing. Staff were lovely. Check out was a breeze - only took about 20 seconds. Lots of amenities on offer - soaps, razors, hairbrush etc. Like with all Tokyu hotels they have the charity donation if you don’t use the amenities which I love.

A little walk from canal city & Yatai only very short - 5-10 minutes at the most. Would be great if this hotel had an onsen also. However, there was not much to critique! The stay was great.

Was really near the train station, like a 5 min walk. Personal was helpful and friendly. Sustainable hotel, liked that.

There are only two washing machine and tumbler to use, most of the time it was occupied.
