Prompt chat replies from staff, and they reconfirmed my request upon check-in. Was a little anxious of the stay as there were barely reviews of the accommodation when I booked few months back. Place is really near to train station, not to far to commute to different places to the city. Exit A4 is definitely the nearest to the hotel, but if you have really big, and heavy luggages, you can use exit A6 where there is lift. There is also lift in the apartment. Lawson is the nearest convenience store from the apartment. It's a quiet neighbourhood, and as a girl, I felt safe walking around at night. All the staff are friendly, and nice. They were extremely helpful too! We needed assistance with restaurant reservation as we do not have Japan phone number, and they assisted us. Not only that, they even assisted us with best route to a place we needed to go as Google was not that helpful. Room was big enough for family of 4-6. The bed, and duvet was very comfortable - not to mention the tatami too! Pajamas, and soap are all included. The best thing of this place is the washing machine, and mini kitchen. Ps: put lesser load for clothes to dry when using washing + dryer function to make sure clothes are really dry! 5 nights felt too short, but it was great. My friends, and family enjoyed our stay here. It was my first time to Japan, and this stay has made my vacation even better. Hope to come again in the future. Thank you to all the staff! :)

extra space/ place to hang our clothes/ towels. the hangers was just enough to place our clothes but since we have 3 people in one room, we didn’t have space in the toilet to put our towels.

The staff were incredible. They had a good grasp of English, and while this wasn't expected, it certainly enabled us to have more conversations with them. This created an even more welcoming atmosphere everytime we came back for the day. We booked two rooms (separate bookings) and they kindly placed us on the same floor. Very considerate. An in-depth check-in procedure let us know the room cleaning schedule and how to operate the washing machine. They familiarised us with the three aircon units, rubbish sorting and tatami area. We were able to dry our laundry on the balcony. The kitchen has suitable items for making meals if you are so inclined. The street is nice and quiet and a short walk to Morishita station (S11 on the Shinjuku line). The downstairs foyer has a nice communal space to begin or end our day with the snacks provided. I would highly recommend. We were able to stow our luggage before check-in and after check-out to suit our plans for the day.

A word of caution, received scam emails from booking.com that my booking may not go through and to input my credit card details. The hotel was so efficient that they immediately informed me not to click on any link and it is a scam. So impress. I had a family of 4 person so the 2 bedroom suite was just right. the hotel was situated at a residential area and was nice and quiet. It is also safe as my family frequently went out at night to the convenience stores. There was eateries and convenience stores near by. The train station was only about 600m away so very convenient. We reached the hotel before the standard check in time and left our luggage with the reception. when we came back, they already put our luggage in the room !!! So impress. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped with induction cooker, microwave, cutleries etc. The best was the washing machine. The staff like Yu was very nice and friendly. They could speak English. Would stay there again if we ever go to Tokyo again.

There is nothing we did not like.

2-room suite was comfortable, spotless, had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Decent size, possibly considered spacious, for a Tokyo hotel room. Just right for 4 people. Close to subway station, eateries, convenience stores, short walk to a large supermarket. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Yu who proactively helped us with all our requests and questions. Staff were conversant in English, so no issues with communication. Enjoyed the low-key, quiet residential vibe of the neighbourhood.

Would have been nice if hotel had a hot tub for guest use, or cable tv, but not a big deal in the scheme of things.

Great space for a family of 5, everyone had their own area and didn’t feel crowded. Even though it’s a bit out of the way from the main sights, it was around the corner from a metro line so getting around was very easy. There were a few nice places to eat nearby. Had dinner a couple of times at a small Korean restaurant. Highly recommend. The hotel apartment was clean and had everything you needed. There was a washing machine in the room which was helpful. The staff were very attentive and helped us organise our luggage to be transferred to our next hotel.

The staff were fantastic and they provided excellent communication. They were very responsive to any questions asked and always friendly. The room was clean and tidy, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the washer/dryer in the room. The property is very close to a great train station, kombinis and supermarkets. Getting to and from Narita Airport, or anywhere in Tokyo is very easy from the property.

As the bedroom doors are shoji, there is no sound insulation and light went straight through them. There was a bit of a funny smell coming from the kitchen sink, nothing too bad.

Love the huge space and the washer, we used it everyday. Just throw in before you sleep or go out and it will be clean and dry when you are awake/ you are back! The staffs are also very helpful. We have sent luggage from other city using Yamato and airport using airporter. They are able to help receive and send out the luggages! The staffs are very welcoming. It feels great to have someone welcoming you back and sending you off every time you go out. Morishita is also convenient place with 2 line - Oedo line and Shinjuku line where the line is not as crowded but able to reach all the main places with a transfer or a short walk away.

I wish they have more racks. There are enough hangers but not enough racks

The staff were fantastic. All of them were really lovely and took the time to show us everything when we arrived. They were super easy to communicate with and really made our stay. The design of the hotel was really nice. It was great having two bedrooms and a decent size living room. It was also good having the toilet separate from the bathroom. There were snacks, tea and coffee and water available downstairs, which was a nice touch! Having a washing machine/dryer available in the room was really handy. There were clean instructions on how to use everything. We really liked the neighbourhood. It felt less touristy and more local than other areas in Tokyo while still being very easy to get around everywhere with several public transport options.

It would have been great to have a hand towel next to the toilet wash basin and to have more towel rails/hangers in the bathroom to hang wet towels on, as there was space available for this. It would have also been good to have a dish rack available to dry plates and cutlery after washing them. The accommodation looks new and was clean on arrival although there were some large marks on the dining bench cushions and on the floor near the entry.

The staff members were very nice, especially Haruna. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but yet convenient to take the subway to many places. The facilities in the room were ample. The in-room washer/ dryer was very nice. The partition of the 2 sleeping area was nice. The lighting and balcony were very nice too.

The layout of the room was a little awkward. The raised sitting area was barely usable. There's no tissue/ toilet paper in the shower/powder room unless you run to the toilet room. Luggage storage wasn't available even though there's a working front desk. The dryer took a long time to dry and couldn't be open until the cycle is finished.

East Square Tokyo is an excellent apartment hotel, and it was perfect for a family of four like us. The room is spacious, neat and clean and has almost everything you would need during your stay. Special mention to the staff, especially Mr. Yu, who was very nice and friendly and was always happy to help us! Thank you for making our stay comfortable! The location is great and the subway station is just a 1 minute walk from the hotel. Overall, highly recommend this place, especially if you're a family or group of friends!

There are no negatives at all, however just a few recommendations - it would be nice to have a full-length mirror in the room and a dish drying rack - but having said that, it did not hamper our stay or experience in any way!
