The hotel looks gorgeous and is very nicely decorated. The room we stayed in was miniscule but thankfully we were travelling without suitcases. We laughed at the fact that one of the elevators was out of order and we were told there were no immediate plans to fix it any time soon, only for it to be fully functional the next day! We were already aware we couldn't go on the balcony but being able to open the door a little was so nice and we really appreciated the cool breeze. The direct (!) bus connection to the Disney shuttle was a big plus, it's right in front of the hotel. Sure, the hotel is not right next to a subway or metro line, but it's in near walking distance so not an issue at all.

Everything clear and tidy. Just like that Muji hotel, but cost half as much. Great location and nice breakfast buffet.

What a great hotel - very much lived up to expectations. I didn’t book the cheapest room but next one up as loved the wee window seat and general Japanese aesthetic vibes and it was fabulous. Sure not a huge room, but this is Tokyo - what do you expect?! Staff were always lovely. Bonus the excellent coffee shop directly across the road and pastry shop next door!! Lots of convenience stores and restaurants around as well. So whilst it may not be the obvious choice for area in Tokyo it’s very well serviced and I liked it - it constantly felt calm and easy to navigate in a city of 35 million!! And bonus tip, head to the park around the corner to see cherry blossoms!! So much better than the big parks where sure, there’s many more but you have to battle a million people to get a view. At the park it was me and a few dog walkers.

To be honest these are really minor and none would stop me from staying again. Would be nice if closer to a metro stop, but then there’s a bunch in walking distance so not a huge deal. Would have been nice to be able to check in early but understand that’s not possible - I had a crazy long flight so it’s always painful not to get a shower and nap in. One of my pillows was very strange texture, kind of it was partly stuffed with rice, but I only needed one and the other was fine, and I’m sure they would have swapped if I needed it. Overall all VERY minor criticism - fabulous hotel and will stay again.

This was my fourth stay at Hamacho Hotel in Tokyo, my second during this trip to Japan. I stayed for 8 nights and 9 days, and would happily have stayed for longer and hope to stay again in the future. Lots of tourists focus on popular hubs in Tokyo for their stay (like Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza and more). However, Nihonbashihamacho is a lovely, quaint and safe area that has quickly become a special place for me in Japan. I have greatly appreciated retreating from the hustle & bustle that Tokyo can provide at times, and entering into a ward of the city where everything feels quieter and slower. The staff are always wonderful, they happily greet you when you enter & exit the hotel and go out of their way to assist with any request you have. I cannot recommend Hamacho Hotel enough; I've not had a single bad experience over 4 stays here (more than 20 days in total).

I have no complaints about this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, spacious and friendly.

The room was great, as on pictures. The hotel is very clean, staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was not included in the room and was no option to buy it on booking. When we were at the hotel, for 2 days breakfast service was not available. Also the breakfast is not really good and not Japanese style. I would recommend to have a breakfast at some other places. The coffee shop in front that provides discount of 10% for hotel guests has good coffee but food is bot good. We also had issues with hot water for 2 or 3 nights, and hotel was apologetic. However to take a shower we need to put an effort. The area is the best, close to bus terminal and it is the best location for getting to any airport or best city places.

Amazing service! Our transport provider ‘lost’ our luggage and even though they did not have to help, they went above and beyond to assist us. We finally got our bag back and really appreciate your patience and help. The property is located in a charming and quieter area of Nihonbashi. Train station is within walking distance, well stocked supermarket and highly recommended coffee shop across the street. We got a corner double room and is a good size for a couple with a few luggages. I’d personally recommend this room if you need more space.

Bathroom is relatively spacious but with low ceiling so shower position is not ideal for me personally. And there is no stool for you to shower sitting down.

Very close to the T-CAT which made getting to and from the airports extremely easy and it is only a few blocks from 2 different subway spots which makes it easy to get around the city itself too. The Hotel is very nicely designed, very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Beds are great, but we didn't like the pillows much. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel goes above and beyond with all the little add-ons, which we really appreciated. A make it yourself bath epsom salts station to bring up to your room, chocolates from the shop near by, christmas decorations and make your own ornament craft spot--all really nice touches!

The room was very hot when we arrived, but cooled off quickly because we visited in winter and got cool air through the window. I'm not sure how easy it would be to control the temperature in the summer. While the bed and bed linens are great, the pillows were not.

This was my third time staying at Hamacho Hotel in Tokyo. I've chosen this hotel as a base for my trips to Japan because it is located in a quiet, safe, and clean neighbourhood. There are 3 grocery stores / convenience stores within 1 block, close access to Suitengumae, Hamacho station and more. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff are always extremely polite. I requested for my SIM card to be mailed to the hotel for pick-up and the entire process was seamless. I hope to stay again!

I don't have any complaints about Hamacho Hotel. I was there during fire alarm testing and even that was not disruptive to my morning. If I had to stretch to find a complaint, it would be that I received too many clean bags of towels and water (I put the do not disturb sign on and ended up with 5 bags at one point). The point is, I have very high opinions of this hotel.

Really clean, great lighting options in the room. Can DIY bath salts for free for the bath which is a really nice touch. Shower pressure is amazing and housekeeping is great, even leave a bag of fresh towels etc on the days you don’t want housekeeping. Washing machine and dryer in the building as well and an ice machine which is great. Nearby has plenty of options for food and a 24hr supermarket right opposite. Direct line to Shinjuku which is great. Would recommend for those that have visited tokyo before and don’t necessarily need to be around Shinjuku/shibuya area.

There’s a balcony in the room but you can’t go onto it.
