The private room is surprisingly spacious for tokyo size, very very clean shared bathroom and very good flow of water for the shower. toilet is available at every floor so there is no worry on having to queue for toilet. Bathroom is only available on second floor, but I almost never have to queue for shower throughout my 5 night stays Bed is comfy and so is the blanket. They provide a free towel for the private room quest The are 2 window so the room is bright and get a plenty of sunshine Staff speaks good english there is no worry on the language barrier, they sell bottled water at fair price (almost the same with combini price) and miso/instant noodle too. We transferred luggage from other hotel to this hostel and the hostel is very helpful in receiving the luggage and even send it to our room There are many train station that you can access such as Kanda Station (JR Train - 12 mins walk), Kodenmacho (Metro - 5 mins walk), Shin-nihonbashi (JR Train - 12 mins walk)

the concrete work of the room especially the ceiling could be better, it looks like being left as is just to cut unnecessary cost, tho it is not impacting our staying experience at all. Laundry is good but the dryer took really long time to dry my clothes.

It was good. It was located in the center, like 10 minutes walk from statipn Kanda. There are a lot of shops and stores nearby. When i asked the staff to switch off air condition as it was too cold, they reacted immediately. We arrived earlier then the check in and we could leave our luggage in the hotel..

The ceiling of the room looked very bad, it was frightening. Looed like in some horror moovie. The bathroom was located on a different floor than our room was. I caught cold during our stay in the hostel due to air-condition., but at least the staff was nice and switched it off, when i asked them to do so.

Had a good stay at Hostel DEN, it was conveniently located near a few trains station with Kanda station on the Yamanote Line being a 10min walk away. The hostel was clean with everything you'd expect and need. The was toilets and sink on each floor and showers on the 2nd floor. I never needed to wait for the shower during my stay considering how big the hostel is. Staff were friendly and check in/out was quick and efficient. The beds were comfortable with charging ports and a light for each bed as well as curtains

The room itself were a little small so I had trouble opening my large suitcase but it's to be expected in Japan. Also, the automatic locks on the doors are quite loud and I was woken up a few times by other people leaving/coming into the room. Reception is also staffed from 10am onwards, I needed to leave my suitcase overnight as I was leaving at 8:30am and coming back the next day for another more few nights but ended up having to use a luggage locker at a station instead as no one was there to take my suitcase. That was my mistake so just a PSA for others.

The hostel is soo sociable on the first floor there’s always people to socialise with (including the lovely staff) and play games with (they have a switch with plenty of games). I rarely had an early night, but not to worry if you want to sleep you could NEVER hear any of the noise downstairs in the dorms. The lights and air con are controlled downstairs so no one could walk in late at night and switch the light on which is always annoying. There’s a co working space on floor 2 which is perfect if you need to make calls or work (I used it to call my family). The dorms are spacious with curtains and a locker for your valuables. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a fridge and freezer to store food/drinks in which is sorted every day so there is never a bad smell in there. There is self service washing and drying machines. The showers were lovely even had their own changing area per cubicle. Toilets were always clean. Staff are soooo sociable and so lovely and will help you with everything as much as they can (shoutout to Manami for helping me translate things and being a 10/10 friend). It’s close to loads of metro stations so getting around Tokyo is easy, also close to plenty of convenience stores for food and drinks. Best hostel in Tokyo. Best hostel in Japan. Best hostel in the world?

That I had to leave :,(

Handy location, near lots of subway stations and easy to get to other areas in Tokyo. Friendly staff who were always ready to help. The size of the hostel was big enough to be social but not so big that people didn't socialise. Nice rooftop area and nice lounge area to meet other travellers. Also helped provide umbrellas for rainy days and had a luggage weigher they let me borrow! Comfortable beds with curtains and lockers. I had quite a big suitcase and room size wasn't an issue.

Probably pretty standard when it comes to a more social hostel in terms of cleanliness. Staff were really responsive though, when I let them know about a terrible smell coming from the bathroom, it was dealt with promptly. I do wonder if the toilets and bathroom should be cleaned more regularly though just due to the sheer number of people who would be using the limited facilities. Overall it wasn't bad though and I enjoyed my stay!

I stayed in this place for two weeks in a room shared with about 10 other women. I did it because I HAD to do it (not because I wanted to) and I was mentally preparing myself to have a bit of a hard time, but to my surprise I was very comfortable those two weeks. It was a shared room, so the space had to be small and at times a bit claustrophobic, but it was incredibly comfortable. The place is really well designed, and it allows you to have as much privacy and space as a small bed can provide (which was still a lot and very decent!). The staff is super nice people who are always willing to help and guide you. The space was very well kept, clean, and comfortable. I was very surprised to spend such a high quality time, considering how little I was paying, how many people there were, and how little space I actually had. Really good experience, would definitely recommend!

The property was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like were some male guests (most of them european) who, after taking a shower, walked around the floor only wearing a towel. I dislike this VERY much, but I was not the hostel’s fault.

The staff is wonderful and really helpful, we felt right at home. The accommodation is clean and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds are really comfy, and overall everything is well cleaned. There is also a rooftop terrace that overlooks the neighborhood, really nice at night.

The female dormitory is a bit cramped. It accommodates 10 beds, and there isn't a lot of space to put your things. Also, it can be a bit noisy for light sleepers, since the lock on the room door is automatic and makes beeps whenever someone enters or leaves throughout the night. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, and there isn't a ton to do or see at night.

What a great hostel! Neighborhood is upscale, the rooftop terrace is beautiful and I loved the privacy curtains around the bed. There was even shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Quiet location and in walking distance to a main subway station that takes you to the airport or around Tokyo. Great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Only thing that could be improved would be to have a shower on each floor instead of having to go to the second floor every time.

Elevator available. Friendly staff. Clean showers, bathroom. Air conditioning in the room. Convenient laundry, iron available which is not often in hostels. Despite not having many bathrooms, one was always available, no queues. Kitchen, fridge available. Sockets on a bunk, light, personal locker for bag, curtains, all that. Open terrace for chill evenings.

Not very comfortable going up the upper bunk because of the design of the bed. Toilet, shower only on 2nd floor for female guests, at least. Had to go down 2 floors for a bathroom. Before reaching elevator you still need to endure going up with luggage some albeit short but stairs.

The staff were brilliant, super friendly and would hang out in the common area as well and generally really nice people, very hardworking! The common area was also really social, lots of people coming through so it was a great way to meet people and make friends I was able to leave my luggage at the front desk before checking in later that day The top floor balcony was a great place to quietly have breakfast in the morning sun. There were three showers and always there would be one available when I went down to use the showers It was a lovely place and I definitely would go back!

Only that the stairwell was a bit dated but this could possibly pass as decor.
