Excellent location near Kanda Station (close enough for it to be really convenient, but not close enough for you to hear every passing train), surprisingly spacious room by Tokyo standards, which was also very clean and intelligently designed, plus helpful and English-speaking staff. Plenty of free amenities available to collect at the reception.

To start with, the breakfast is terrible. Even though I had paid for breakfast throughout my stay, I started to get my own from a nearby convenience store from day 2. Book without, and it will not be an issue. Also, the room was spacious, but when the bill came, you also realised you paid for every extra square feet/meter. Still, a room this spacious in Tokyo would normally require a hotel with one or two additional stars, which can be felt additionally on the price tag. Cleaner also behaved a bit erratically at times, but reception staff quickly sorted it out.

I have no experience for comparison but according my investigation, it is a very good hotel for the price. The area is not a party area but it is strategically smart if you want to discover whole Tokio during several days. The room is very small but smartly arranged, as is typical. It was my first and last hotel I had in 3 weeks Japan. It has no restaurant or so, you are not there socializing with nobody. However, the staff is very very helpful and nice. They stored my luggage for 2 weeks between my two stays and received several items I order from amazon.jp in my name and when I showed up again, they immediately gave me all items. It is so incredible how Japanese can care for customers, and they are surely a good example. It is surely good for somebody like me who comes to Japan first time and has to learn a lot before he knows how things work. If you want to be close to the hotspots of Party than it is rather Shibuya and Shinyuku, cause Taxi is expensive and metro stops around midnight. I had some 20-30 minute walks to Ueno and Akhibara, that´s not so far, and it is also nice to check out. And the center is also not so far to the other side.

I think there is nothing I did not knew before because I investigated thoroughly.

I loved my stay! The location was very convenient and there were many restaurants near the station, the Kanda station was only a few minutes from the hotel. The staff were kind and very helpful, the facilities were clean and the bed was very comfortable! I would stay here again!

There were 2 things I didn’t like about my stay: First was how there were only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers for the entire hotel and its many guests. I had to wait hours for my clothes to be dry because there were many people in line waiting to use it. Another thing I didn’t like was that they changed the breakfast menu from curry to a more “western breakfast”. I feel that the curry was more hearty and fulfilling than what they changed it to. Their new menu includes pan fried noodles and meat balls, and I didn’t enjoy it. I miss the curry menu.

The beds were the softest we had experienced in Japan, so that was a big bonus. So many beds were just far too firm to sleep comfortably. The layout of the room was well thought out. I loved that the window opened. There was a washing machine as well as a fridge with freezer. It had a very spacious bathroom & tub/shower combo that even had several different settings for the room which was separated from the sink & washing machine area. Loved all of the abient & diffusable lighting that was well placed near the beds. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience & the favorite of our lodgings in Japan.

The fridge & freezer didn't work at all. The bathroom sink wasn't draining well. There was no place to hang the drying rack. Two very minor things: the outlets for each bed should've been placed more in the center of the frame between beds rather than the center of the beds & the fabric was torn on the couch. There were some small areas that hadn't been cleaned or dusted before our arrival.

Sotetsu Fresa Inn offers everything you could want in a Tokyo stay: clean and comfortable rooms, outstanding service, and a fantastic location close to key landmarks. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I've ever encountered. The location is ideal! It’s only a 15-minute walk to the vibrant Akihabara district, perfect for tech enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore the exciting shopping and anime scene. Plus, it's close to some of Tokyo's best sights like the Imperial Palace, Ueno Park, and the beautiful Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Everything was so accessible, either by foot or a short train ride.

This hotel was less than a 10 minute walk from Kanda Station which was very helpful for navigating around Tokyo. The area was quiet but not desolate as there were still a number of restaurants a short walk away. There was a 7/11 right next door, a Family Mart and Lawson all within a short walking distance which helped with getting a quick meal before leaving for the day. There is also a Yamato Transport sales office right around the corner for luggage delivery service since the hotel themselves only let you do a "cash upon delivery" service. The rooms were extremely clean and the hotel was very quiet. They always had free bath products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, bath salts for soaking etc.) at the front desk available as self serve which was helpful since we packed quite light for our trip. We had no issues getting new towels or our room cleaned.

The room was a bit small to the point where I wished we had brought a suitcase that had a lid on one side as opposed to the two-halves compartments as navigating within the room with it was a bit tough. We were hoping for a few more amenities like a gym.

Good price and good location. The hotel is near the Kanda station and walking distance to Akihabara. You can hop on multiple JR and Tokyo Metro lines and get where you need to be in under an hour. The staff is helpful and friendly. Room is tiny but tidy and clean. Laundry service is convenient but there are just two pairs of washer/dryer so prepare to wait if multiple guests are trying to use them.

Beware if you have big luggage. I couldn't open my suitcases flat in the room... It's that tiny! It might be the weather (super humid in the summer) but I feel the bedding was constantly damp during my stay.

We travelled as a group of 3 and each had our own room as we stayed for 6 nights and heard space was a premium (which it was). The room was an adequate size for just me, I'd pref not share it for a long period but doable if you know you're going to be on top of each other. The staff were friendly and you can get most things you need from reception i.e. iron, tea/coffee and even bath salts. There is no view from the window but that didn't bother me as I was only in it to sleep. There was a loud air-con unit outside the window but I had ear plugs and was knackered by the end of the day from the activities. Room air-con worked fine after using Google Translate to work it. The location was great, not far from Kanda station (5mins walk) and short journey to Tokyo Station, very easy to get from the airport (Google Maps worked a charm). Really good base to travel around Tokyo and beyond (did Mt Takao, Kamakura, Enoshima and more). The restaurants in the area are very local and not particularly geared towards tourists but there are so many options, you can find something or eat at the stations or convenience stores (MANY in area) on your way home. I'd recommend going to Kanda Shrine, it's beautiful (we were lucky and caught a wedding ceremony).

The room was very dusty. Although the surfaces were clean, the light sockets and other nooks were coated in dust. As others have mentioned, the breakfast selection is minimal so we just bought convenience store food and put it in the room fridge. Also, the breakfast room closed quite early in the evening so after that, you have to eat food in your room. We did heat our food and eat in there once. Had no problem working the washing machine and dryer, was great to able to wash clothes before moving on at the end of the week.

The hotel was located close to Kanda station which gave easy access to anywhere we wanted to go in Tokyo. It's also a 15 minute walk to Akihabara which was very convenient. The room itself was very clean and was cleaned really well whenever we put the sign up on the door. As others have pointed out the room itself is pretty small but it's manageable. The bed was king sized and comfortable. The staff were all friendly to us.

We arrived two hours early prior to check-in at 3pm so be prepared to pay a fee if you want to access your room early (we did - as we'd just flown 14 hours from London). They did offer to look after our bags though which was nice. The pillows are really flat and small so I woke up with a sore neck a few times but this is down to personal preference and size.

We stayed for 7 nights, location was quite nice, about a 5 minute walk from Kanda station. Next door is a 7 11 kombini and across the road is a Lawson, so everything was quite accessible. Be aware though that the area is filled with many offices and businesses so it gets quite busy during work rush hours. The staff also spoke English and were very helpful in organising our luggage delivery to Narita airport.

The buffet breakfast menu was quite limited (but to be fair it was 1350 yen.
