Great location for exploring the glitzy Ginza district. This is a larger hotel and at times can be a bit busy. At peak times we had to wait a few minutes to enter the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself was excellent including a lovely duck pancake. A filling breakfast that kept us going most of the day. The 16th floor reception is also the lounge. It too can be a little busy at time. Our room was, no other way to put it, small. We managed but found ourselves tumbling over each other at times. If I were to stay again I would look for a larger room. Surprisingly the bathroom tile had some mould. Not much but not what I expected from a higher end hotel. Staff were very helpful and the reception staff have good basic English language skills. I should mention that nearby (easy walking distance) there is a lovely park (you can see it from the 16th floor reception) which is ideal when you want a short break from the glitz and glamour of the Ginza. There is tea house there which serves matcha and a pastry. We arrived on the Shinkansen at Tokyo station and took a taxi from there to the hotel. I would recommend this if you have a luggage. Similarly we took a cab to Haneda which cost $75 (Canadian) rather than the Limousine bus (which stops around the corner from the hotel) or a cab to one of the subway stations. Fixed price cabs are available (but booking them proved to be an issue). They charge around $90 - $100. If you are not in a heavy traffic period you will probably save money taking a regular cab. The newer Toyota cabs, modelled on the London UK taxis are very comfortable. And most drivers we encountered could speak a little English.

As noted above there was mould on the tile of our bathroom.

Firstly, I travel to Japan for work at least a half dozen times a year. However, this was the third trip my wife and I have taken together and the second Mitsui hotel we have stayed in and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The hotel starts on the 16th floor. There is a very nice private lobby on the ground floor and two lifts that take you to the 16th floor where you’ll find reception and the restaurant. The rooms start on the 17th floor. As the building is rectangular, every room, regardless of which side of the hotel you are on, faces the city of Tokyo so the views are spectacular. Also, in reception, there’s a huge picture window with sofas looking out and the view, particularly at sunset, is awe inspiring. The rooms are incredibly well designed and laid out and have every facility you could wish for. Like everything and everywhere in Japan, the rooms (and the hotel) are spotlessly clean. If you haven’t stayed in a hotel room in Japan (and particularly Tokyo) hotel rooms are small. I heard one British guest complaining at reception about this but it’s the way it is in Japan so do your research prior to booking. Breakfast is amazing, plenty of choice of both Western, Asian & Japanese food. My wife and I are both vegetarian so we had less choice but still enough so we could enjoy a great breakfast each day. The staff are exceptionally helpful (like everyone I’ve met in Japan) and always go the extra mile. The location is perfect. 8 to 10 mins walk to central Ginza (the Wako/Seiko department store, Mitsokosha, etc). The walk there is exceptionally nice as the streets are full of restaurants and shops. Finally, and separately from the hotel, from all Terminals at Narita and Haneda Airports, you can catch the Airport Limousine bus (you’ll see them everywhere at the airports and in Tokyo) directly to the hotel. It literally stops right outside the lobby. We took the bus from T1 in Narita and bought the tickets at the counter in the arrivals hall.

Nothing. Mitsui hotels are always exceptional.

The hotel's location is perfect – it is in the heart of the city, with easy access to the Airport Limousine Buses. Their room is not just always super clean and quiet but also equipped with all the necessary amenities for a trouble-free stay (e.g., comfortable bed for someone with spinal issues, adapter, cable, etc.). Above all, the staff's kindness is amazing. They are always willing to go the extra mile to assist you with all your concerns, from promptly answering all your queries during the booking stage to ensuring a smooth and hassle-free checkout process.

The location was really good. Close to prime shopping in Ginza. The train station was close by and Don Quijote was right across the street as well as several convenience stores. The facilities and the room were very clean. Staff was professional and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent too.

The location of hotel was perfect for our stay. It is 4-5 min walking distance from major metro line (JR and other metro lines). This hotel was the last stop before departure, and we had extra luggage to carry. And we were able to be picked up by airport limousine bus right outside of hotel corner. (Otherwise, we had to take Narita express to the airport, dealing with countless staircases). Small Japanese size room but very clean. One thing I really liked about this hotel was bathroom - especially shower. The shower has full glass doors from bottom to ceiling with separate ventilation at ceiling. - this keeps water/moisture out of vanity/room area.

Not much.

The location was near Donki and the train station shimbashi. The property was nice and has a good smell. Has a good view of the Tokyo Tower from the lobby day and night. The staffs are nice and helpful. The room was a bit small but acceptable for a stay in Tokyo. Will love to stay again at this property in the future.

Not the hotel's fault but the initial reason to choose this hotel was because I see that this is one of the airport limousine bus stop and was hoping to rely on it for the transit from and to the Narita airport, but the schedule is just so limited and did not fit our flight time.

Conveniently located in Ginza, close to station and to district with a lot of food and shopping. We had a room with a view on Tokyo Tower and it was worth it. The room had everything we needed - a tea kettle, plate and utensils for late night snacks, well equipped bathroom. We tried breakfast one of the mornings and it was nice too.

The hairdryer was very sensitive and would switch off for a long time due to overheating. Very uncomfortable. Also, despite room being non-smoking, the smell of smoke was faintly present in the bathroom through connected air circulation.

We took a corner-building room with a wonderful view to the east from our bedroom, and to the south from our bathroom. Our room, as expected, was traditionally small but very comfortable. There was a small fridge with complimentary refreshments, including 2 cans of high-quality Japanese beer, which tickled my fancy! Our bath featured a wonderful view of the city -- Great to soak your body in while taking in the details of this fantastic city. From our bedroom, you could see all of the trains and street traffic bustling about their busy day. Take a walk from the hotel to where you saw the train station from your lofty room, and you can jump on a train to anywhere else in Tokyo and beyond. Upon arrival, the people at reception were quick and efficient. This is a 5 star professional quality reception! This is a very fine hotel in the Ginza district of Tokyo. There is high-class shopping here where folks can find what they couldn't find anywhere else in the world. A lot of it is pricey and for the delight of the upper-class, but there are wonderful bargain-priced treasures to be found as well. Close to the hotel is your good old 7/11 convenience store and more. Some of these convenient places are 24-hour operations.

We sat down at the adjacent restaurant to reception to get a coffee and talk our plans over while waiting for our room to be prepared. (We arrived way too early.) Be careful if you are on a budget -- Those were probably the most expensive, however very good tasting, cups of coffee that we had ever enjoyed. To be fair, the staff gave us a very comfortable place to sit and hang-out and the service was super friendly. It's more like we rented a top-notch space to hang out in at a high-end restaurant with a complimentary coffee??!!

The overall ambiance and facilities of the hotel is very good with excellent location. The bathroom is quite big for a hotel with complete amenities. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The view of the tokyo sky tree at the lobby is stunning especially at night

The room is a bit smaller, so it's a bit difficult to move around when you have several luggage. No English friendly (speaking) channel in the cable TV, mostly Japanese and Korean channels and CNN (although American channel) is dubbed in Japanese.
