We loved staying at Sake Bar! Our group of 3 shared the suite and it was absolutely perfect for us. It has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom with a beautiful deep soaking tub. The whole suite is beautifully decorated and comfortable! The hotel offered a lot of perks like free breakfast in the morning, free snacks throughout the day and 24hr free sake, beer and other beverages! There's a foot bath on the roof which was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of walking around and sightseeing. There's also a private onsen on the roof that you can use 1 hour for free if you're staying in the suite or 1 hour for a fee if you're staying in the other rooms. The location is incredible, super close walk to Sensoji Temple and to the train station as well so it's easy to get wherever you want to go. I loved staying here so much and hope I can stay again some day!
We didn't have any issues!

Overall, this is a great hotel. My only mistake was booking a room that was way too small, so I didn’t have any space for my luggage. This made it very challenging to navigate and get ready. The room also didn’t get much light, which also made it difficult to wake up in the mornings. This was my fault for not booking a bigger room and requesting one that had good sunlight. To avoid this, I suggest to other guests to book at least a queen sized suite or maybe one with two beds, which I suspect is much more comfortable and has plenty of space to place luggage. However, the hotel was clean, it had plenty of amenities, including onsens, and their staff were incredibly helpful. In fact, their staff went above and beyond to help me resolve an issue that I had in my logistics—an issue which was entirely unrelated to my stay at their hotel, which they could have easily declined to assist me with. Despite the issue being unrelated to my stay there, their staff still chose to go above and beyond and help me, and that alone is enough of a reason for me to book a stay there again in the future. The location is also absolutely perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the center of Asakusa. I do recommend this hotel to others and will be back in the future.

I had an amazing stay at SAKE Bar Hotel Asakusa. • Location was great. It was a 5-minute walk from the Asakusa station (Toei Asakusa line). It was surrounded by multiple convenience stores as well. It was also in one of the smaller streets so while it's in the main area, you can still enjoy a lot of quiet. • Great room and amenities - the room was quaint, which is expected in most hotels in Tokyo, but it provided all the basic comforts you need (water heater worked well, air conditioning was cool, bed and pillows had the right firmness). There was a water dispenser on each floor. The rooftop was a nice surprise with the views and free sake. Fast and consistent internet in the rooms is enough for video calls and online work. • Great customer service - While the check-in was automated, the front desk was ready to assist and answer any questions. They also gave me a free bottle of sake upon checkout. • Adequate breakfast spread - The breakfast was good. There wasn't many options but they always had one egg dish 2 viands, and onigiri.
This is just a personal preference but I'm not a fan of basins located outside of the bathroom.

Rooms were new and clean. Staff were incredibly friendly. Location is really convenient to see lots of Tokyo near multiple transit lines and Asakusa Station, but in a quiet part of the city without bustle of other areas. But the best part is being offered a full bar downstairs, sake on the rooftop where you can soak your feet, snacks etc… it was great! It was so nice I want to stay there again when I’m back in Tokyo.
Room was a little cramped, but was ok for just me. Might be a tight squeeze for two people.

Super clean. Very comfortable bed. Rooftop foot bath is great. Free sake & snacks were great. Staff all fantastic. Location great. Reception & bar area very nice and welcoming. Everything you need is in your room..lots of attention to detail: charging cable, torch, coffee, fridge, slippers, kimono, shower gels, wash cloths, etc. Room design is very cool and everything is immaculate and clean.
My room *which admittedly was the cheapest* had no window, and was extremely small, virtually impossible to open a large suitcase other than on bed. I was travelling solo and felt claustrophobic, couldn’t imagine a couple in this room. My room and the landings outside elevator could have been more brightly lit, but I guess this is ‘mood’ lighting..this added to the feeling of claustrophobia in my room.

Pretty cozy hotel in Asakusa, walking distance to several metro station. Staff very friendly and helpful, room was nice, small but very functional and the bathroom was amazing with typical Japanese bathtub. Beautiful top floor foot bath and private spa with free flow sake bar ( you need to discipline yourself there ) . After long days walking was amazing to relax there with Tokyo tower view. I loved everything about it.
Breakfast is Japanese only, which I dig, but not everyone does

Great small hotel , fantastic open sake bar at the lobby and next to the wellness on the top floor . Including Whisky, draft beer and Shochu. Very nice onsen with small sauna on top floor with 1h private included . Absolutely amazing views from the top floor with feets in the hot water tub. The only inconvenience is that we were 4 of us in 1 room as family and beds are extremely narrow , there are additional tatami beds , but once you unfold them , there is no room even for the luggage in the room 🤗

customer service and cleanliness. Customer Service- The staff are very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, which made our stay hassle-free and comfortable. Not only can they speak English, but they go above and beyond to provide the correct and necessary info to make your stay that much easier and more enjoyable, thank you! And of course, a small gesture goes a long way! It was also very nice to be greeted warmly every time we enter the lobby and/or returning after a long day. Cleanliness- much attention to detail and cleanliness is seen throughout! there is someone available to assist you at all times of the day. Upon arrival, our room was spotless. No messes no stains no smudges no dirt no dust. And the loungewear provided is so comfy! The private bath is VERY clean, as if brand new and exclusively used. This and the lobby were my favorite places to spend time. The amenities are always in working order. Free beer, water & sake dispensers, free toiletries, and food is always fully stocked!
I wish the footbath is open 24hrs :)

Absolutely amazing boutique hotel. We met some wonderful staff like Akane who were super friendly and helpful. Having 2 young children, it is usually quite difficult to have time to enjoy a quiet drink. At Sake bar hotel, every afternoon we could enjoy a variety of Sakes and tap beer for free! There was also excellent oden and they would cook up some karage and katsu on demand, fresh to go with our drinks. The rooftop private onsen and cold plunge pool could be booked for ourselves, and it was just the cherry on top at the end of a long day. There are also an array of manga with english translations like Demon slayer, which was a nice touch for us. The room itself is small for western standards but in Tokyo, hotel rooms tend to be on the smaller size. We had a mini kitchen in our room and lovely tatami area. The location is great, quiet and away from the main touristy area but still close enough to easily get to the action of Asakusa (5 mins walk). Excellent stay!
The breakfast could be improved. Breakfast hours are from 6.30 to 9.30am so I understand it's hard to keep things fresh but we did find the spam, grilled fish, karage and tamago to be a bit dry on edges from the bainmarie. The onigiri was delicious though.
