Great location, Comfy and clean and good for basic quarters to rest and wash up in. No frills, basic amenities but great little extras like robes that are nice (and u can purchase a beautiful one for about 4,000 yen, great souvenir). Super close to sensoji temple, shopping, transit, right next door to shops, food. Staff is not overly enthusiastic but they are helpful. Check out process was easy.

Price is a little high considering what you get. Albeit the rooms are probably cleaner and more privately spacious I’d compare this place to a “fancy hostel”

Hotel is in a great area - plenty of restaurants, sights and shopping but with a relaxed feel. Our room was a good size and the water pressure in the shower was intense! Breakfast is basic but very nice.

Tamayura was a great hotel for the value. The rooms were recently renovated with tatami and traditional designs, it looks great and was very clean. The location was wonderful, just a few steps away from multiple entrances to the Asakusa line as well as Sensoji. The room temperature was adjustable, which made things very comfortable. Free amenities were given for the bathroom (soap, shampoo, etc.), which let us keep those toiletries packed in the suitcase. There were two elevators available, which meant we almost never had to wait. WiFi was pretty good throughout the stay with minimal slow down. The 9th floor lounge was nice to hang out in when you needed to stretch your legs. And to top it all off, check in and check out were very very simple!

The semi-double bed size was fine, but the firmness made my ribs hurt. Additionally, the breakfast was just toast and coffee or tea. As a diabetic, this wasn’t sufficient. Luckily there are plenty of outside breakfast options nearby.

Fantastic location less than a minute walk from the Asakusa train station which connects directly to Narita airport. Spotless room and bathroom, friendly staff, great view over the river on 9th floor, Sensoji Temple and streets full of restaurants and shops are less than 15 minutes walk away. Asakusa was the perfect area to base ourselves / start off in as it's much less hectic than other areas like Shinjuku etc so a more gentle introduction to Tokyo!

Breakfast probably better to be served on 9th floor where the tables are instead of in the lobby. Bed was a little on the firm side & took a couple of nights to get used to.

Fantastic staff Cleanliness Location - only 100m from subway. That said it would take some tranfers to othe main parts of Tokyo. Great water pressure - always nice to have a sitmulating hot shower after a day out! Very generous breakfast offering - although simple the beverage/ soup selection was good. Frequent replenishment Love the tatami flooring

The room was too dark There was a lot of space in the room but not utilised fully - there was no mirror and only too small low tables. The wall space could have been attached with a wall mirror and bars with hooks -- if it was winter the 2 hangers on the bathroom door will not be enough. Also we were charged a hefty 22000 yen for one night out of a six-night stay. Very strange.

The two men on reception in the evening and the morning were both very lovely and helpful nothing was too difficult to sort out for me.

This hotel had a cozy, clean, and comfortable room right near the heart of Asakusa with an easy walk from the Metro stop. It was small, but perfect for a solo travel. The morning breakfast of toast and coffee was simple but delicious and even better enjoyed from the observation deck on the top of the building looking out over the Sumida river. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I was able to keep my bags at the front desk after checkout to gain a few more easy hours of exploration before my train back to the airport. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The room was a lot larger than most Tokyo hotels and Airbnbs of similar price range. It was absolutely spotless and smelled great. The beds were comfortable and the bath was excellent to use. The design of the room and bath were a great mix of modern and traditional Japanese elements. We loved it and have already recommended it to family and friends. The location was a perfectly short walk from the train station exit with the elevators. Near to major attractions, shops, convenience stores, and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and both check in and check out were quick. Also appreciated the top floor lounge with fantastic views of the Sumida river.

Breakfast was very basic. Just toast and coffee, but coffee was good and also free during the day. And you had to carry it all by yourself from the first to the 9th floor. Eventually we bought our own things to eat because there is a little fridge in the room. It is a mix of hotel and hostel. Location is excellent. Wonderful view across the river and sky tree from the breakfast room. And Azakusa is just the perfect place to enjoy lovely food and visit a bar. Locals were very friendly. We loved it! The water pressure in the shower is insane. You feel really clean after a shower in that hotel.

Breakfast facilities. You have to make your toast in the first floor and carry it up to the 9th. Very small room. You have to live out of the suitcase, which of course is always in your way. But we were prepared for that.

There was a room on the 9th floor that overlooked the river. It had tables and chairs and was a nice place to enjoy my 7-11 egg salad sandwich and yogurt each morning.

When a place advertising "breakfast is included" most people expect more than white toast and coffee. Staff was efficient but not very friendly. The hotel changed it's name 3 days before our arrival without notifying us. I only caught the name change by chance which could have caused some confusion arriving after a long plane ride if I hadn't known. Room was very small but seems like all Tokyo hotels are small.
