the pool was nice to have, relaxing, big and with a nice pool bar serving cocktails and other drinks. breakfast was good, enough choices, we tried Zanzibar which is a restaurant that serves nice food and the atmosphere is excellent. must try! we also tried 2 times the Baharin restaurant as well nice and food was tasty. check in was ok, quick enough and gave us a very nice welcome drink.

wifi was not working 2 out of 3 days and as well the day that was working was cutting off continuously. must fix since if you don’t have a SIM card (we did thankfully) you cannot plan anything. staff was ok, kind enough even though they don’t over do it. just simply nice because they have to. we asked to leave our room 2 hours later but told us there was someone else checking in and needed it. this is low season and not many people come-actually many left at the same time as us! the first day we asked if it is safe to go outside and told me that it is not so safe and proposed we hired a driver to take us around. we walked, took a tuk tuk and visited the market/went to the beach-I tell you it’s very safe and don’t worry at all to go outside during the day at least that we went.

The hotel has aged gracefully and the owners have kept the same standards for over a decade. The staff are very receptive and warm . House keeping was thorough and the food and drinks were all very good . The variety of meals was also good considering it was low season . Beach beds were plenty. Check in was smooth and check out was equally smooth . Free transfers to and from Ukunda were a great addition.

I did not like the brown carpets in the room . They looked dusty and I kept sneezing I had to ask housekeeping to remove them . The soap dispensers are looking worn i think they should consider changing them. Service at the beach was a little slow and we had to keep looking for waiters . The internet was lousy and for two days was not working at our rooms .

The Hotel is beautiful! The pools have salt water, different depths and are beautifuly designed. The staff is extremely nice. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a really nice style. They offer a great diversity of food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and everything was fresh an delicious. We can 100% recommend the hotel.

Unfortunately, the beach in front of the hotel is not nice.

Beautiful resort right on the beach. The setting means it never feels crowded. Huge choice of pools. Good spa options also at acceptable prices.

Pity that, for example, water is not included in half-board. This has to be paid for separately. I also did not like the variety of food in the buffet restaurant. Bathroom should be better maintained. Carpets in room need urgent replacement (old and dusty).

Infrastructure. Personnel. location. Food.

While doing booking throught the bookin.com, was not able to add a child into the suit room. The direct communication with the hotel leaded to now where. Finally end-up with an upgrade at the hotel. Lost of time, could've been done in the straight forward way BEFORE arrival having numerous talks. Instead of staying short periode of time due to uncertainties, we could've do more! The hotel booking team has FAILED. ATTN to MR, Alex ==> as discussed, pls improve.

The place is absolutely perfect. We loved everything: food, location, view, and staff. The restaurant food is really good. The massage therapists are mostly great (apart from one who was looking at her phone whilst giving me a reflexology treatment).

We asked the receptionist to book us a restaurant outside the resort. They told us the restaurant was fully booked without even checking. Obviously, we contacted the restaurant ourselves and it was not fully booked at all. So we managed to book the table for us with no problems. These are the kind of things that make me really mad.

Amazing place to relax. Swahili Hotel is just gorgeous, with a beautiful architecture and the design. All the corners are so beautiful with a unique touch of class and simplicity, and very clean. The staff is just amazing, super nice and always available to help us, with a smile on their face. The breaksfast has a lot of options, all types of food, swahili or not, with the employees preparing the food at the moment. The pool is enormous, and very clean. We stayed in a double room superior with ocean view, it was a really good experience! Outside the Hotel there’s a lot of option to have lunch/dinner, if you dont want to stay just in the hotel and want to know different places. When coming back to Diani beach, i will definitely stay again on Swahili!!

The beach is very rocky. The hotel some years ago try to turn that rocky beach into a sand beach and put some sand and know it’s better. Is not possible to swim a lot but the hotel is so perfect that it doesn’t matter, the view to the beach is amazing

The hotel is truly amazing and beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is fantastic. The staff very kind and helpful. in addition the food is amazing onsite.

Two things were not in order: when we arrived, 1 of the 2 rooms we reserved were not in order. This room was to hold 3 people as agreed though Booking.com. Upon arrival the 3rd bed was not available, and we were told that we need to rent an additional room. Only after getting angry this was resolved (although it took nearly 2 hours to get the room ready). Secondly on our final day a wedding was taking place. For this, all facilities in the hotel were blocked for other guests. We were told to leave the pool, and could not make use of the restaurants onsite. Alternative solutions were offered, but did not take away the disrespect. An apology was all we received as compensation. Apart from that there were small things such as a faulty airco, no hot water from shower, etc.

the hotel is gorgeous the rooms are so well done and functioning the architecture is beautiful the spa is great and the pools are some of the nicest I have ever see

it is not the nicest view of the ocean. the beach at diani gets nicer as you travel down the coast but where Swahili beach is is not a very nice part of the coast . also you ca. it really spend time on the beach as there are so many men loitering on the beach waiting to sell you something which is uncomfortable. plus you cannot sunbathe on the beach or near it - the only chairs by the beach are in the shade which is great for some but not for those who want to get sun

The pool is really nice. Nice Restaurant right at the beach, big room with a nice terasse

That a taxi referenced by the concierge is at least double the price than usual Breakfast was good but asking extra for capuchino is special. The beach is much nicer further south
