The check-in was very smooth and the room was very clean. Secured parking area. We had one issue with the safe and they sent someone immediately to correct it. We were in the exclusive section and it is well worth the extra money. The food was excellent. The international buffet exceeded our expectations. Food was fresh and wait staff was very efficient. This was a small resort and was exactly what we wanted, more personable and easy to get around. The sargassum was being caught by nets so it was not that bad-good job by the resort. I saw lots of complaints about the boats - that added to the ambiance and everyone needs to make a living- not an issue. Would highly recommend this resort.

LOL! The mini golf needs some work on the course. Tilted incorrectly. But it was still fun and a neat attraction. Bed was a little too firm for me. Otherwise there were no complaints. Thank you to all the staff who work hard, smile and always say hello.

We have travelled all over the world and have stayed in many hotels. We prefer low key, smaller resorts that nestle amongst palm trees as opposed to the larger resorts that dominate, have lots of pools, slides etc. The resort was a perfect size for us as our children (8 and 10) could run around and we felt they were safe. Lots for them to enjoy and they had freedom. Beach area was perfect, cosy and felt private but a 30 second walk and you were on an expanse of beach that felt very relaxed and was backed by forest / jungle. Staff were amazing, food and facilities ideal. The location is great as its next to a natural jungle area so we didn't feel like we were in the middle of a massive town, but a 10 minute stroll and we were in the main street with all the bars and restaurants. Its a long walk to the ferry to cozumal, but doesn't cost much in a cab......and there's no rush when on holidays! Would happily return!!

We had a small issue with a theft/missing belongings which we had stupidly left unattended for quite a while, however, this was eventually resolved and item recovered. Had it been put in lost property immediately the problem would have been solved without any issue.

Just got back from a 10 day stay in a Premium Partial Ocean View room with our family of 4. We absolutely LOVED the Reef. We used the transportation through the Reef and it was easy to setup and very convenient. Our room was very nice and great views of the ocean and the boats. Our room was cleaned every day and it was spotless. The staff go above and beyond and they are constantly cleaning the facilitates. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, and rooms were quiet. Boris and Janet made the activities by the pool a lot of fun and I loved the aqua gym classes. The location was perfect close to beautiful calle 38 and all the nice restaurants and close to 5th. Restaurants were good ate at Japanese and Mexican and the buffet. We absolutely loved the coffee bar setup at the entrance of the buffet. Also, for breakfast they constantly walked around with water, coffee and milk. It was very convenient they would pour coffee and milk in your coffee cup. Beautiful, clean, convenient, and I can't wait to come back! Thank you for a beautiful stay!!!!

Wish rooms could be 2 queens rather than 2 full beds. Our kids are 18 and 20 so it was a tight squeeze at night for the 4 of us. But the resort is worth the squeeze at night.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, a tropical paradise. The pool was warm and refreshing and the food was absolutely delicious our entire stay. The staff is lovely and they work hard to make sure you have a great and relaxing time. Especially the entertainment team who work super hard. The drinks were good and we loved just spending time at the resort. LOVED the massages!

The room is a bit bland and seemed worn down. There were a lot of mosquitos. The pool could've been cleaner at times, and honestly the Japanese restaurant was just so so, not really worth the extra money.

The location is great! The pool, the Japanese restaurant. Ping Pong table is great! The staff at entertainment was very kind. The cocktails were good! On a side note: I would have loved to have a wireless speaker in the room. The Chromecast wasn't working.

The food at the buffet wasn't great, considering the all-inclusive prices, the deserts are not really good, The rooms are very noisy, we could hear everything from the rooms next to us. Very annoying when they try to sell you time share! Stop that! If I wanted it, I would ask for it.

This hotel is in a great location for going out in Playa Del Carmen. Very friendly service with welcome drink during check in. They have a cool snack bar where you can get burgers and they have a really great restaurant. I had a three course dinner with wine which was included in the price. This place therefore offers exceptional value for money!

the beachfront is so-so. the swim area is in front of what feels like a small marina - it is surrounded by boats so it’s not the greatest spot if you want to swim in the sea.

Breakfast was exceptional. Nothing was too much to ask from the staff. I emailed ahead of time to organise specific things for my honeymoon

I had paid for a massage on the beach as part of the affairs of the heart package. Unfortunately on the day I was told this would be a massage indoors. We also waited a long time for breakfast as part of this package. And when it did arrive it was not very good.

pool is nice, beach area is nice, restaurants were good, easy to get around and rooms were comfortable. most of staff was really helpful and kind. liked the daily activities and ease to book and take part. Victor at front is the best!

everyone wakes up early and puts towels on beach chairs and then they are all gone by 10am, but not actually being used. makes the vacation vibe a bit stressful, not enough beach chairs and you shouldn’t be able to safe with just a towel. half of the people that work are not helpful, they ignore questions and seem bothered

The breakfast was quite good. Omelettes excellent. Loved that it was located by the public beach making walks enjoyable, despite the sargasso piling up. The food in general was adequate, what we expected. The pool was lovely. Price versus quality, it was a good deal.

We had asked for a quiet room by garden but were assigned to the noisiest one at # 2211. The snack bar and bar below us made sitting on our balcony unpleasant at times and noisy carts under our room were noisy and frequent. Trucks delivering behind us were noisy… The worst was when deafening jackhammering all day long started last Monday Feb 13, just in the passage under our room. We asked to be moved to another room and we’re told none were available. When we checked out February 16, we were told that another room had been allocated…but we’re never told.
