The hotel is located in a very good's. Everything is accessible, cafes, shops, shopping centers, everything is within a short route. The staff is very friendly. The comfort corresponded to the stated room.

the fact that you can see a new construction site from the hotel window, but the soundproofing is very good - you couldn't hear the workers The breakfasts at the hotel are disgusting, the plates are dirty, There was not enough food., there are too many waiters, they don't have time to wash and clean the glasses, there aren't enough. The coffee machines were always busy, there was no water, breakfasts, I don't recommend taking them at this hotel.

Location, room and staff were perfect

Sauna and jacuzzi were opened only in the morning 7-11 AM, not so convenient. Room cleaning is done by special schedule not every day. I stayed 4 nights and my room wasn't cleaned, towels were not changed even once.

Basically booked this hotel at the last minute as my tour got cancelled very late in the day and I needed to check out of hotel etc but sequently needed somewhere to chill before my late airport flight (there is only so long you can sit in a bar or restaurant after ordering!). This place fit my needs perfectly and looked far more expensive than price I paid. As a genius member I was also upgraded for free which was nice but it was a shame I only spent a few hours here. I would return to Tallink as it has good amenities close by and whilst not in the centre of the old town it is about a 15 - 20 min walk from the old town

Comfortable beds, breakfast was tasty but a bit lacking of variety. (not a problem for a few days) Hotel is very big and cosy, staff was friendly. Room was quiet. Good selection of tea and coffee in the room. Good location, walking distance to the city center, took about 15-20 minutes only. A lot of shops and simple cafes around the area.

During check-in we were told our car was too heavy for the parking which is super weird as we have a very average car. Receptionist took our car document and probably checked the wrong number for weight. However, we found parking on the nearest street.

Our room was nice but a bit small, and the bathroom was good too. The breakfast offered a nice variety, but it stayed the same every day—some changes would be great. The younger staff were friendly and well-trained. The location is excellent, close to big shops, the old town, and both bus and train stations. We enjoyed the delicious Latvian food and culture. However, the people felt a bit unfriendly, perhaps due to lingering influences from the past.

The gym is a bit outdated and small, but it’s better than nothing. The sauna hours are too limited, only being open from 7 AM to 11 AM. It would be much better if it were available all day and into the evening. It felt odd to have to rush to breakfast and then straight to the sauna early in the morning. After a long day exploring the city, it would be more relaxing to use the sauna in the evening.

The hotel is conveniently located. 7 min. by foot to the railway station; 12 min. by foot to the Central bus station. It's a 20 min walk to the heart of the Old Town and it's only 12 min. by foot to the iconic art nouveau buildings that so many tourists wants to see. In fact 2 of the prettiest art nouveau buildings are on the same street where the hotel is. They are just 10 min. walk away and the walk is pleasant. Essentially, you can walk everywhere from this hotel. The hotel itself is modern, sleek and safe. The hallways are pretty. In the room, the mirrors are smartly designed, the desk is super comfortable and a series of plugs are convenient. We didn't go to breakfast in the hotel but there're plenty of places to eat in the neighbourhood at any time of day or night. The staff gave excellent recommendations on how to get from one part of town to another. We also used the hotel's "pillow menu" and enjoyed our selection. Overall, we felt like we were loved. One more positive thing: this hotel takes fire safety seriously. So in each room they have a big framed plan of evacuation in case of fire. Guests cannot miss seeing this plan as it is right above the key switch. And we checked the suggested routes and everything is properly marked and done. I appreciate this care about the guests' safety.

While every single detail in the hotel/room design has been well thought through, I think that the lighting in the room itself needs more balance. The upper lights are so bright that one feels a bit like in a surgery room. If you just leave bedside lights, they are so dim that they can hardly provide light for themselves. So it's too dark. But this is a very minor issue, so it's nothing to worry about.

I requested a quiet room in advance as I'm sensitive to noise and appreciated that the room seemed soundproofed as well as being away from the elevators. It was clean on arrival and the bed very comfortable. The various staff at the reception I spoke to were very helpful in answering questions and helping to store my bag - an asset to the hotel. I noticed some negative reviews of the breakfast before booking but I think people need to manage their expectations - it's very good value when included in some of the Booking.com deals for a simple breakfast to keep you going, and a decent amount of variety you'd expect from a continental breakfast. The location is really perfect for exploring in every direction - I preferred this location to being directly in the old town as I imagine that would be noisier, and it's not far to walk.

There's clear signage when you arrive and in the room itself explaining that room cleaning is every other day, but I think mine was missed out (this may be my fault because I put a 'do not disturb' sign as cleaning at some hotels I've stayed at has happened really early, but I took it down by 9.15am). I think it might be good for the environment/budgets if there was a small discount or other incentive for choosing to not have room cleaned.

A professional, reliable chain of reputed hotels. Helpful, polite, multilingual staff. Excellent location to explore the city. Note: the walk to the railway station with suitcases is short and easy, however to the international coach station it's best to book a taxi (less then 10 euros, saves the hassle of multiple street-crossings, roundabouts, subways, building sites, etc.)

Room: a touch cramped. Room lighting: either two bright or too dim, nothing in between. No reading lamps. Curtains: not thick enough to block off the light during the long summer nights. Noisy breakfast room. It would be nice to have a separate room for customers who enjoy breakfasting alongside other people yet prefer a quiet, more meditative atmosphere to start the day. Takeaway breakfast for early check-out: not up to par, can be improved. Also storing food in a paperbag on a rainy day wasn't the best idea.
