Room was clean, we received welcome drinks, property was clean and very attentive staff. The highlight are the staff who were very helpful. Special Thanks to Eve who took her time to run through the map and told us where to go for meals and worth to go attractions, all these without us even asking. Friendly staffs and they even made up our rooms while we were out for dinner and ensured the room is nice and cozy.

Expect from the noise from the street, since we got the bigger room which is close to the street, there is nothing that I don’t like about this Boutique hotel.

Lovely heritage building, original features well looked-after, some nice touches. Staff were super-helpful and thoughtful. We really enjoyed the breakfast and they also provide a packed breakfast if you need to go out early. Huge beds (I saw in some reviews people felt they were a bit hard, they were just right for us), good complementary stuff like drinks, good coffee in the room, snacks, tea in the afternoon. Lots of bottled water which we really needed as it was very hot and humid. It's an old building with wooden floors and shutters, though the windows are double glazed, there are still going to be some outside sounds.

I don't think there is anything the hotel could have done better as such given the heritage nature of the attraction. There is a bar very close by which played thumping beats until maybe one in the morning... despite the double glazing could still hear low level beats, but I always take ear plugs with me and I fell asleep no problem. That said, we did have the room that is right at the front, so presumably less of an issue for other rooms (we had a Noordin suite) The room is a bit dark, but again, that wasn't a problem for us - you can open up the shutters, and the bathroom brings in quite a lot of light too if you open the shutters and door into the room. We weren't told that there was an switch for an immersion heater for the shower, but we asked and it was pointed out.

we were absolutely blown away by the service at the hotel. we were given lots of tips on arrival, be it culinary or cultural. the breakfast was great (you have to order it the day before for the next day, but that didn't bother us at all) and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly at all times. The pool is perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The rooms are large and every evening a little surprise is left on the bed.

actually, there are only two things that could have been better from our point of view. Firstly, the bed is not suitable for taller people (no taller than 1.85m). Secondly, the rooms are extremely bright, which is why you can hear every guest who comes home later and we have to leave early because breakfast is about to start.

The property was absolutely amazing The decor, so spot on and immaculately preserved the hotel was so private and welcoming from the time we landed in Penang to the time we left. we were there for a family reunion and a memory tour for my father who lived here over 60 years ago. we lost our mum six years ago, and this was to see where she grew up where she worked where my father met her where they married, and where they first lived. Although quite emotional, it was absolutely amazing and Noordin Mews suited all of our needs. breakfast was absolutely amazing and plenty of variety. I thank you to the girls and all the staff was absolutely wonderful.

Nothing everything was wonderful

So many things to like! Firstly, the staff. On arrival, Cheng, one of the lovely staff went through some of the best places to visit, and places to eat. The hotel is beautiful. From the heritage frontage, you walk into a lovely restored hotel. With any antiques to remind you of the building’s history. A lovely library to relax, pool, and dining area. Breakfast was delicious and although you can’t order lunch or dinner you are welcome to byo into the hotel. We brought back street food, and then the staff greeted us and said ‘sit down’. They plated the food for us as if we were at a restaurant. The room was a good size with a long sofa to relax and large bed. And luxury toiletries also. After being out for the day, we returned to our room where our bed was turned down, we a little treat or gift for us. In the bathroom the sweet oil scented candle was alit. Short walk to shopping stores and street food and bus. Well, I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Wonderful hotel - beautifully designed in traditional historic style. The style reminded me of the HK movie In the mood for Love and it felt like walking into the past. But please note the area around it is a bit rundown and only starting to be restored - so if you are looking for modernity this is not your place. However, you are short walk away from historic old town. So for us it was perfect. The actual rooms are spacious, equipped with modern TV with Netflix & coffee maker. Absolute gem is the staff - attentive and kind and very helpful in suggestions of what to visit and where to eat in the neighbourhood. Thanks for all your help :) Breakfast is great - they offer western options and also possibility to try Chinese breakfast (different every day - you get info what is it when you sign for it day before). Pool is small, but after exploring Georgetown very good for refreshing.

Nothing - everything was great.

I like the peranakan architecture, full of character. The fact that the whole place is small makes it cozy and easy to get to know the other guests. Walking around Georgetown for food and attractions was convenient. Taking a grab was also easy. Kudos must be given to Ms Cheng, Ms Eve & Mr Ho for their excellent service. They were always ready to help. They have taken “service with a smile” to the next level! I truly appreciate too Mr Bala going out of his way to tend to us! We had problems with the towel rack in our room but it was attended to in no time, twice actually!

The breakfast menu needs a lot of improvement though. From the western options, we found only the French toast worth some praise. As for the Asian option, I think plain fried noodles and rice with no other ingredients or condiments in it other than a sunny side up just will not cut it for the price we paid for a room that comes with breakfast. We do not expect a buffet but please come up with a meal that has value and not some cheap school canteen stuff!

Breakfast was delicious and efficient. Staff were friendly and professional. Location was convenient. Facilities, including swimming pool, were clean. Different and interesting evening gifts - a lovely touch. Overall a unique and comfortable stay. Thank you!

It would be good to have brighter lighting in the bathroom.

Little oases in George Town, feels very cozy.. Breakfast was excellent. Staff, exceptional helpful and always very friendly. They always had a helping hand. Loved the room and little details in the room. Also, every evening we found a small surprise on the bed. The garbage was emptied twice a day, which I find a super service. And the ladies at the reception and Bala with his detail oriented touch and positive vibes made our stay just perfect. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you!

The level of service provided was excellent and everything a boutique hotel should be. The hotel is located in a traditional shop-house type of building and beautifully maintained inside. On check-in I was provided with detailed tourist information about local places of interest and recommendations for different types of food. The welcome drink and fruits were very welcome after a long journey. The room had themed decoration in keeping with the building and all facilities you would expect. The place was beautifully perfumed. Beds were turned down, shutters closed, air con turned on and a little local something sweet greeted you on your return to the room. The bed was comfy, the nights were quiet and the air-con worked - all musts for me! The pool served it’s purpose and was in full sun over the mid day period. Breakfast was served and there was a limited but adequate choice each day.

having to choose your breakfast the evening before. There were three small dogs staying when I was there which I don’t object to in principal but one whined a lot which was irritating.
