The staff are wonderful, very accomodating. I needed a room change for more natural light which was provided upon request. The room I moved to was comfortable and quiet. The owner, Alejandro wants his guests to be comfortable. Although I was booked to stay for longer, I had to leave earlier than expected and the process was simple. The kitchen had many appliances and common areas were spacious. Plenty of refrigerator space for individual storage.

The designated seating areas to write were only in common areas, no desk in the guestrooms. Breakfast is generous but no real options for gluten or dairy-free (not that I expect that). Only was able to get a banana one day (even though I was one of the earliest risers) - the guests must be quick for fruit!

Owner is very responsive to messages and caters for guests' requests like check-in/out beyond normal hours. The whole premise (rooms, bathroom, kitchen and common areas) ais clean and well-kept. Clean and fully-equipped kitchen is a plus. Room is very spacious but has no air-con; they have two big fans (but the motors roar) to keep the room cool and ventilated, but late October is cool enough I don't need them for sleep. Good wifi and cable TV; they also serve light self-help breakfast (bread, jams, juices, tea bags etc.)

It takes a bit longer to get hot shower, but it gets there. My room is facing the street, so expect some level of street/traffic noise at night. But a ear plug should do the work.

Breakfast was included in the price and it was adequate. Appreciated in having a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Drinking water was available. Hostal was always clean and the manager (Lucy) always available to answer questions or provide assistance.

Bathroom was always clean, but had a sewer smell. Also, it seemed that Lucy worked constantly. Likely it would be useful for her to have some relief. I stayed 8 (?) days and never saw her have any time off.

We stayed 4 nights at Olga Querida B&B and enjoyed exploring different parts of Guadalajara from there. It is in walking distance to centro, but you can also walk for example to Americas or take public transportation to Zapopan or Tlaquepaque, all easily accessible from Olga Querida. On top and essentially, your host Lucy is a gem of a person and will help you in any instance basically 24 hours a day - also a perfect way to practice and polish your Spanish. We stayed in the double room downstairs next to the entrance, which was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was actually quite comfortable. A continental breakfast is provided each morning, which includes cereals, toast with peanut butter and jam, fruit, coffee and juice and which you can have for example on the terrace of Olga Querida. If you anyhow search for other breakfast options, there are plenty around in the neighborhood. In general Olga Querida is a good value stay to explore Guadalajara!

Unfortunately, the bathroom of our room had/has a problem with mold, which covers big parts of the bathroom's ceiling over the shower. As this was ok for us during our stay, it should be fixed in general.

The house was big and alot of space to lounge around and rest. It was close to cathedral and just 3 blocks away from the main street. Laundry on site which was perfect for me. Lucy was friendly and went above and beyond while I was there. Continental breakfast was simple and just enough to have something in my belly while I got ready to head out and have a full breakfast. Lots of showers and bathrooms. Dorms were big. You get your own key when you check in so you can come in and out when you please. I would definitely recommend and will be staying there again when I am back in town.

The biggest plus is Lucy who runs the place. nothing is too much trouble for her, she can answer any questions and give great advice. she even makes sure she’s there for your 6am taxi to make sure all is good. Location is excellent, easy walk into the historic centre, interesting areas close by, good food options inc Fish Taco La Paz close by and Yunaites in nearby market. Very cheap cervecerias close as well. Lucy will do your laundry, clean your room when you want and you have a nice, sociable breakfast with other guests. I’ve stayed here on two occasions and recommend it 100%

Nothing, but to show my review is balanced and genuine, in my room the wifi signal was a little weak, especially on my iPhone.

I love the comfort, the quiet, the neighborhood and most of all the hostess, Lucy! This is a safe neighborhood within walking distance of all the main sights in the city. It was unbelievably quiet in the hotel, I couldn't beleive it. The bed was perfect for me and I slept well. If you follow the instructions and wait for the hot water, the water pressure is very generous, nice and hot, too! There is so much to love about Guadalajara! Lucy is very helpful and always available. Guests have kitchen privileges as well. The only con - I don't want to leave! There are so many good restaurants around, it's probably good that I'm leaving while my clothes still fit!

Nice value for money - a single room with a private shower, close to the historical center of Guadalajara. Lucy has welcomed me well and was very nice throughout my stay.

There is an additional tax/payment that is added to the price - as Lucy explained that was something that is not fixed on Booking website to reflect. Though the breakfast is included, it is very basic (toast bread, butter, jam, some coffee) - so keep in mind if you are a fan of a big breakfast;)

Lucy welcomed us warmly; her English is very good and she's very happy to help you with any questions. Our bedroom was very cute with a little balcony overlooking the inside garden/patio. Breakfast was good and takes place in the family living room with other guests which allows interesting conversations. We really like the homey ambiance. Downtown is a very easy 15 minutes walk.

Neighbourhood could be more exciting.

We had an amazing stay in Guadalajara at Olga Querida. Lucy goes above and beyond to make your stay the best, she sorted us out with a fun tequila tour. Our bedroom was big with 2 comfy beds and a private room. There's plenty of space in the communal areas to relax. You can use the kitchen at any time. Breakfast is cereal, toast, bananas and orange juice and coffee. Lucy helped us with a taxi to the airport the day we were leaving and got up early to see us off. I would definitely recommend staying here.
