The room was clean as were the common areas and everywhere smelled fresh and was welcoming. The member of staff who we spoke to on the phone when we were delayed at the airport was friendly and helpful. The staff around the place were always polite, well presented and pleasant. The suite would definitely be worth the extra if you can afford it as the place overall was welcoming and well cared for and the suite allows you some independence, privacy and a little less disturbance by others. I would gladly book again if I could secure that option. My negatives are just considerations for your personal comfort, overall the place is clean and restful

Our room (Chefs room) was on the main road and right next to the kitchen/common area and the door to that area. It was also under the upstairs suite. This meant that you could easily hear/be disturbed by other guests (though I think many of them did not realise this was a bedroom which I think could be easily resolved by staff mentioning this in the welcome to all guests) and the main road. The people above moved furniture around (I think setting up the sofa bed every night?) and when new guests are welcomed this happens in the common area next to your room, at any time of day or even night. Get earplugs and you will be fine Rooms would benefit from usable balconies or chairs internally

Comparable to a 4 star hotel in room size, cleanliness and overall feeling. King bed, tall ceiling, large bathroom with a bathtub. Everything was spotless and well maintained. House keeping was done every day so everything always smelled fresh. The common area is large and the kitchen has most of the things you need. The pool and the pool area are small, but it's ok considering the number of guests(there can't be more than 8 rooms in total). Our room was facing the back of the building and it was quiet all the time, the ones facing the street might get noise from scooters and golfcarts, but not during the night, there's not much going on in the area after the day trip tourists leave. I think the price is very good for what you get, you're not very close to the main beaches, about 10-12min walk, but that might an advantage actually.

There's an emphasis on being quiet and you might feel constrained when using the common areas. It would have been great if the kitchen had an oven, it only has a microwave. The walls are kind of thin and you can hear noisy neighbors, but it's not terrible.

Roof pool is nice for evening swim and heated. Centre of Isla in front of the ferry locale is awesome! Safe location! In front of great small restaurants, juice stand, and grocery store and pharmacy. Kathia y Russell property managers. Large kitchen and great renovations to make the place very cozy and very clean.

Shower is soft and sometimes the heater in the chef room doesn’t work so hot showers may be warm or cold but not a huge issue with all the accommodations made. No shampoo so guests should bring their own.

The room was wide and the mattress was very comfortable. Beautiful swimming pool on the top of the facility.

There were some ants in the bathroom. At the check in, we read few weird rules such as to pay a fee in case you stain the towels proportionally to their size. I guess it can happen during a stay... There isn’t a reception and you see the host only at your arrival, so the communications are not immediate. It’s not a fault of Casa Barco but Isla Mujeres is terrible and you overpay everything for nothing, no beauty on this island. It’s very hard to enjoy the sea, it seems to be in a mall with thousands and thousands of boats and people everywhere. We were very disappointed to have spent the last three days of our holiday in Isla Mujeres.

The location was 1 block from the ferry and all the shops and just a few easy blocks away from tons of wonderful restaurants. The suite was huge, comfortable and the AC was fantastic. The manager was welcoming and very helpful. We were provided bottled water for drinking and brushing our teeth. We had a mini fridge in our room and access to a full kitchen. It would have been comfortable enough to live there for months at a time. The room had cable and there were a few channels that even had English programs including HBO.

The sea view was not as beautiful as I imagined. There were roof tops between us and the sea view and the sea view was of the port. It did entertain us watching boats coming in and out all day. But it wasn't a sunset type view. However, two blocks in the opposite direction, we found the sunset views we were dreaming of.

I took the largest room with an upstairs and a balcony, so the privacy was great! The room was clean, had a microwave and fridge, and anything I wanted that wasn't in the room itself (dishes and extra towels) was available in the common areas, of course. The staff was wonderful! I had a small issue with rain water, and they did everything they could to make me comfortable. They were also very responsive through messages. The view is of the ferry port, and it was beautiful. It was an 11-minute walk to Playa Norte and 1 minute away from the ferry! The wifi was great, I had multiple video calls with my family back in the US with only the occasional disconnection, but slower wifi is to be expected during the holiday season. I look forward to coming back to Isla Mujeres and staying here! Thank you!

Literally, the ONLY issue was that I couldn't watch anything to watch on the TV. But who cares, I was in Mexico!

How close it was to everything and the AC worked great!

The fact that the WiFi never worked, the TV has only 2 channels in English and because our room was double doors there’s a crack in the middle so we felt like we had to be extra quiet because you could hear everything in the hallway! Besides that I would stay again just maybe in another room without the double doors and hoping they invest in start tvs so travelers from all over have something to watch at night before bed.

Step off the ferry and a few minutes walk will have you at Casa Barco. The accommodation offers spacious and well appointed rooms and use of a common kitchen dining area. The rooftop had a sunbathed plunge pool. The place was spotless, the bed super comfortable and it was an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and cafes. We loved our stay and the fact we did not need to hire a buggy or take taxis anywhere and could walk everywhere we needed to go.

I like that the property was very close to the port so it was easy to reach. Playa Norte is approximately under 10 minutes by foot. I like how each room had their own dedicated box in which we can place things into the fridge and it would not be mixed up. Free drinking water was available so we could top up our bottles which was highly necessary in the heat.

Not much to complain about.

The suite is perfect quiet place of Isla. Nice view over the harbor in Cancun.. The decoration is all related to boats , the showers works great, the bed is very comfortable and the terrace is great to watch the sunset over Cancun.

The staff is not really friendly, but you don’t see anyone during your stay anyway … Only on arrival.. Could be a bit nicer and friendly …
