Neat concept of a cross between a hotel and a hostel, well executed . You get a little tube room with a bed, ac, and not much else. Shared kitchen, bathrooms, hammocks , and some couches/tables which the staff keep exceptionally clean. The staff are great are welcoming and helpful. Almost feels like you’re in the jungle. But the icing on the cake is that they have 5 cats and 2 dogs who hang out in the common areas and who are good with people.

Can be a little noisy at night due to the nearby restaurants, but I’m a light sleeper and was able to sleep without issues. Still, bring some earplugs or pick them up at one of the pharmacies a few blocks away.

The atmosphere at Tubo is super chill and friendly. It's clean and comfortable, with everything you need. Breakfast is included, and you have the freedom to prepare what you like from the food provided. The tent was comfortable, and there is space for your bags, we were given a fan! There are a lot of lovely places to chill in the garden area, and the cats and dog are just hanging out, bringing a lovely energy to the place. It's social, but also private. The staff really made this place special! Shouts to Richard who is on it with recommendations and helpful tips! Always there to improve your stay and make sure you got everything you need. The location was great, its on the road leading to the beach and close to the main road. Amazing value for money. Definitely reccomend.

May occasionally be noisy, but that's hostel life!

Cracking location close to the center but far enough you could get a quiet night's sleep and take it easy. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and informative especially the wonderful bloke from the UK. Tubos were a great novelty but also really comfy! Due to the small space of the tubos the AC took effect almost instantly and was super easy to set to exactly your preferred temperature. Gardens we're lovely for a chill and a read. A large communal space with roof so if it's rainy you don't end up cooped up in your room, also games, books etc Kitchen facilities were pretty comprehensive All round spot-on hostel, if you're going to Tulum I would recommend it in a heart beat

Nothing, great place to stay For those who expect the Hilton or Ritz condensed in to a tube for 20usd per night you'll be disappointed. But for those who know and love the eco/hostel feel this place is an absolute gem!

what a fun place to stay. i visited this hostel several times a few years ago and wasn't sure what to expect. to my surprise it was just as great as it was years ago. it has even grown some, which was nice to see. the tubes are so cool - i want one in my yard! - super minimalist with just a bed, small storage under the bed, light, small shelf, and a/c. the common areas are all clean and well maintained. the included breakfast is lighter fare, so if you have a big appetite like me, it is really just a warm up until i get out to a full meal elsewhere. the staff was very helpful and thorough in their walk through giving us the run down of the place. a great place to stay for the minimalist and budget conscious

while perfect for me when i was traveling solo, the tube was a bit cramped for two of us ;)

Richard was very friendly, helpful. Designed with social space & kitchen by the front entry, garden in the center, and tubos around. Very quiet, peaceful, had almost all the hammocks & chairs to ourselves--couldn't tell how many people were there. Clean, comfy (actually, it was freezing--we should have asked for extra blankets). Bathrooms clean, charming. Bike rental for the beaches; close to supermarket giant Chedraui, too.

Right next to a highway so traffic noise was obvious. Cool rain. Cold night. We were in fetal position all night with one blanket. Mosquitos.

The staff are the real reason for staying here. Helpful and knowledgeable. Not pushy with their own services at all but there to guide if needed. The especially large supermarket is very close down the road. The kitchen and fridge are very useful. The room is simply a bed with aircon but all 6ft5 or me and 5ft8 of my partner fit very comfortably in there. The mosquitos are rife at this time of year in Mexico but the staff are constantly laying out anti mosquito smoke rings to ward them off. The pets and animals they have going round the jungle make the vibe at this hostel so welcoming. Be warned, the dogs are desperate for strokes and will guard you all day if you let them. What an excellent stay and if you don't mind a 25min walk then you have all the street food you can hope for South from Museo de la Cultura Maya Park.

Amazing Natural Place! Cool concept. Everything was clean, staff was super nice/awesome people. They are very dog friendly which is amazing to see as I travel with my dog Hoody (they are like the west coast of Mexico where they don't even charge for dogs - good people, chill vibes)! Location was good close to town and on the way to the beach! I will definitely stay again!

Only drawback was mosquitos at night were a bit intense (a tradeoff of living in nature). They have sprays (natural and chemical) for the people though. Not their fault per se, but stupid government fee additions. STOP paying these crooks/cartels! (+16% +3% +3%)

These cozy and unique tubes are a one of a kind stay, amazing value for money. Your own in unit AC, bag storage under bed and a serene jungle courtyard. The staff and their friendly animals were charming and gave some amazing food, and activity recommendations. There was a power outage in Tulum during our stay and they reassured us, and it did not inconvenience us at all. This is a luxurious budget option for those looking for a bit more than a 12 bed mixed dorm.

Add a non-dairy milk option into the breakfast spread and more butter/marg :)

I recommend this hostel with all my heart! The place was beautiful, with hammocks and chairs around in the common space that one could relax on, beautiful music playing from time to time, cats and dogs hanging around. The staff was very nice and thoughtful. One could easily tell that they really like and respect each other, which was building up this wonderful vibe, moving onto the guests and elevating the experience. All of that was making it hard for me to get out of the place beacuse hanging out there was so pleasurable and deeply relaxing. On a more technical side, kitchen was very well equipped, breakfast was good, and the place was very clean.

It's hard for me to point out any flaws. I'll just mention that if you rent a tent it's best if you have a car cause there are no lockers.

Location was great, near many restaurants and shops and 2 grocery stores. Having breakfast included was great! Many cute pets, hammocks and places to lounge in the garden.

Beach was pretty far. Some of the toilets were hard to flush. Pods are not sound proof and birds wake you up really early, and you can hear anytime someone walks outside in the gravel.
