Wonderful location for a getaway from Amsterdam. Comfortable large room with a nice view and a cute balcony. The bed is extremely comfortable

We have booked the spa barn and were not told in advance that the sauna in the barn was broken and we had to walk to the non-private sauna they have outside. I asked if it would be private still and they said yes but when we still had 30minutes of “our time” there I saw people going to the sauna. I’m not the kind of person to tell people to leave, so I just rolled with it, but I do not think that it’s okay to charge us full price of the spa when it’s not longer private and also not telling us in advance about the sauna being broken. I was really looking to a private experience. Also, all the cups and glasses in the room were really dusty.

+ roomy rooms with a kitchennette, sitting area and the rooftop + the bed was super comfy to sleep on + the whole complex

- the build quality - uneven shower area, water doesn’t flow - simple breakfast - location is not good if you like to visit town (25 mins walking to the nearest bus stop, 30-35 mins bike ride to the city) - reception closes at 21:00

The hot tub was great and my kids loved the bunk beds. The beach and lake were also a highlight.

When we arrived one of the chairs at the back of the house had fallen into the bushes. This should have really been picked up by the cleaning team. There were also cigarette buds left in the small fire holder which again should have been cleaned by the cleaners. Small issues that didn't really impact our time but they should be checked more closely.

The place is amazing and makes you feel like you are out of the world in somewhere else. So cozy and charming. The atmosphere makes you feel so relaxed.

The only thing is the lake chalets lacks a door mesh. All the bugs from the lake has entered our place so really we couldn't stay outside and we kept the door closed. Would stay in the other chalets away from the lake. It will be so nice if the management consider that and install a shutter.

The location was perfect as we were flying in and out. The room set up was pretty cool and the buildings are interesting. It's a beautiful property and must be really nice in the summer season when things are green. The lobby space was cute and a plus to have coffee and drinks on-site.

A better path to the hot tub would have been nice, it was muddy/slippery and not easy to get our kids safely in and out. The room itself wasn't super clean, the garbage cupboard was super smelly and floors could have been much cleaner. We had a small fuzzy visitor in the kitchen that may have been avoided with better cleaning although not surprising given the tiny houses in nature set up with big sliding doors.

I loved that it was surrounded by the canals, greenery, walking paths, fields, and parks near by. It was a very spacious cabin and clean. We loved it! Also, things that are good to know if you are staying here - Amsterdam City Center is not exactly convenient, but completely doable. We stayed here on purpose because we LOVED being able to get out of the city center and come back to the cabin to relax. I am not a city person, so this was the best of both worlds. For future travelers: It really is a 20 min walk to the bus station. But the bus station takes you straight to Central Station, so it IS EASY. You just have to allot about an hour of travel time with the walk/ride to get down there. Not a big deal if you add it in your schedule. The Lidl (grocery store) is right next to the bus stop so it was really nice to pick some stuff up there and walk back to the cabin every time we came back and cooked some of our own meals. The restaurant is closed, but offers light snacks and the drinks are good.

We really enjoyed all of the property

This is a very relaxing, quiet and peaceful place surrounded by nature. The Lodge is very pretty, with a kitchen, dining table, sofa and fireplace, and the beds are comfortable. We stayed in the Freelodge but would have preferred to stay in the Basecamp as it has better access to facilities and breakfast, but we had to drive there and gave up breakfast. It's good for families who can stay longer, even if some people have their pets too.

We arrived in the evening, went sightseeing in the city the next day and came back again in the evening, repeating the process, so we had no opportunity to use the facilities here at all and felt like we were missing out. As it is a bit far to the city, we drove to the nearest train station and used the train, which also saved us parking fees. We were careful with the parking in the facility as it was dark and there were concrete objects.

Close to Amsterdam but not too close . Felt like we were staying in the countryside. Beautiful grounds and veg. gardens. Regular Bus connection #21 to Amsterdam central approx 20 minute walk . Hired bicycle and cycled to Haarlem a beautiful town with restored windmill. We arrived late and unbound sent us instructions and map to our accomodation.

Maybe some people might find the airport a bit noisy. But Unbound suppied earplugs if it bothered you too much at night . We found it ok and we were out and about during the day And no problem at night anyway Slept soundly.. Didn't need earplugs.

If you're an outdoor person/family, don't mind travelling by public transportation or bike to reach a city center, love quiet places, like to cook for yourself, enjoy plane watching and colorful sunsets, this place is for you. The cabins at The Unbound offer all of this and more for a great price for a family. This place is cute, well kept and well out of the busy, noisy and polluted city centers. Enjoy a stroll through the countryside to see ponies on a farm 1.5km away, jog your heart out on the well kept trails, bike away on the well marked lanes, all while still having the option to visit the outstanding historic center of Amsterdam in the afternoons. Top that up with air conditioning inside the cabins and an almost complete lack of bugs/mosquitos on this property, in spite of all the canals, open fields and standing water surrounding it!

Nothing!

Beautiful and peaceful park area with plenty of walking or biking options. I loved the wooden design of the houses. The house was spacious and had almost everything I needed: cutlery, pots, pan, plates, even a Nespresso machine with some free pods. I liked that there were board games and coffee table books. The bed and the sofa were very comfortable. They had a sauna however I didn't use it, they also offered bike rental. The restaurant had plenty of options and there was a bar to meet other guests.

Some extra appliances would have been useful such as a kettle or a microwave, also a dish rack as there was not a lot of space near the sink. The houses have very large windows which feels a bit weird as a lot of people passed by and could see inside my bedroom. Although the location was beautiful, I was getting there by bus which had a stop 15 min away and that's where the nearest supermarket was too.
