Citiez hotel in Amsterdam was a great experience. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. They made sure that we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The room was clean and the linens were also bright white and clean. We used public transportation to go around the city and there is a tram stop (tram 17) right next to the hotel which was very convenient. The hotel also provides breakfast which was great! It was always fresh and well stocked. The coffee was also very good. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this hotel.
The only draw back was the glass door for the bathroom, it didn't provide enough privacy. This might not be a problem for most people, I just wished there was a regular door to the bathroom/toilet.

I loved the location and how close it was to the airport, the main city, and public transportation.
When I arrived, I had to wait almost an hour to get a room. Once I finally got it, the restroom had a strong odor of urine, which was disappointing. While the staff was friendly and kind, they appeared unprofessional at times. One staff member kept telling me to wait for my room but would then step outside for cigarette breaks. Meanwhile, another employee seemed more focused on socializing—flirting with the staff and hanging out with his newborn baby and wife in the lobby. Overall, it felt like the staff treated the workplace more like their home than a professional establishment.

I had such a wonderful stay at this little hotel. The staff is simply amazing! I was very surprised and pleased to meet Juan, who is from Ecuador where I currently reside. He was so very helpful in everything, and I enjoyed being able to practice Spanish with him. Atilla, who worked in the evenings, was so funny and nice. I'm unsure how to spell the names of the lovely ladies who work there, but each and every one of them was super fantastic, as was the gentleman who I think is the manager. I neglected to ask his name, so sorry, but he was very helpful in pointing me to the shop where I could buy a transit pass. My room was very quiet and warm, despite the cold and rainy days. The bed was comfy, as were the pillows. The breakfast was quite lovely, served from 7 to 11, with a large selection of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, boiled eggs, pancakes, yogurt, fruit cups, juices, coffees and teas, and I wish I could have stuffed more of it in my tummy. The hotel offers a great selection of beer and other beverages, and they'll even allow you to buy beer elsewhere and put it in their cold case, as the room didn't have a fridge. The shopping plaza in which the hotel is located is full of great shops and places to eat. The tram stop is just a few steps away, as are bus stops (but I didn't use them). There's a beautiful lake a short walk away, great place for cycling or walking. The lobby area is so comfortable for hanging out having coffee (try the hot chocolate, super) or a drink, chatting with staff, etc. It's available all night long, so if you're a night owl, you'll love it. Many thanks to all of you at Citiez for making my first visit to Amsterdam such a memorable one. I'll be seeing you again.
I can't say this is "didn't like" so much as some observations for other travelers. It's a bit far from city center, but the tram takes one there easily, if one doesn't mind a 40-minute ride. I enjoyed seeing the sights while on the tram, spotting things I wanted to return to and explore. There wasn't a closet in the room, but I'd brought my own hangers and had no trouble hanging up all my shirts on the pegs provided. I wish there'd been a little desk where I could use my computer, but I was fine standing and using the platform behind the bed.

We stayed here as a family (with an 8-year-old). The hotel is very close to a tram stop that takes you directly to the city centre. We reached Amsterdam Central Station within 25 minutes, but you can reach the outskirts of the city quicker than this. I would recommend getting a tram pass for your stay as it will save you money and is good value (unless you like walking a lot). The hotel staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The hotel is modern and welcoming and the facilities were perfect for a few days stay. The rooms are cosy, but if you are exploring the city and just need somewhere to sleep they are perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was powerful. I would highly recommend staying here for a city break where you plan to fill the days with exploration and need a comfortable place to sleep.
To be honest we absolutely loved our stay. If I had to be critical, I would say that one pillow was not enough (as the pillows were quite thin), but that is really trying to find something to complain about because we loved our stay. We folded them in half... I mean come on... Now you are just being spoiled...

Location is a bit outside, but very well connected with the city center with trams 1 and 17. Location itself is very calm, clean and with lot of shops. The room was very small, the smallest I have ever seen in my life (total of 12 m2 for the entrance, room and the bathroom). However, you get all the basics that you need. Everything is in very good condition and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great value for money you pay considering overall accommodation pricing in Amsterdam.
size of the room - there is no space you can sit except your bed and there is barely the space for anything else you cannot control the heating in the room even though you have the device for it

The hotel's public area is comfortable and the staff there are good.
The room is small for two people with baggage, but compared with the location and transportation convenience, it is understandable.

we really enjoyed our stay, this accomodation was great, the room was clean when we got there and we also got cleaning service within the price every other day which was amazing. the hotel is quite close to the centre, the tram ride to the center is only about 20 minutes, the connection to the airport is also great about half an hour by bus. there are number of grocery shops and restaurants around the area which is also convenient. the hotel staff was nice and talkative. we had great time.
the room was very small, it wasn't that much of an issue for us as we spent most ouf our free time in town, but for some it might be a problem. the sink situation was a bit unlucky i'd say, the sink was not in the bathroom but in the living room and it was so small, the water kept spiling everywhere even on the floor which was not great. a room was a bit cold even when we turned on the temp meter. but other than that we didn't encounter any other issues.

The location was quite close to the city center by a tram (20-ish minutes). A lot of restaurants/fast food places, multiple grocery stores, and other different stores nearby. We really appreciated the AC.
Our room seemed a bit too small for two people, and the 'double' bed was also quite small. It also had only one blanket. We were fighting for it during nights. The room could use a mini fridge. It would be nice to have some cold water/drinks in the room with you. Especially during hot days.

Nice, polite staff at the reception, free parking, good breakfast, far from the city centre, but fortunatelly next to the tram station.
Tinny room, some places with a poor cleanless( on the side of the bad), small sink, out of the bathroom- quite uncomfortable.

The property was 24 hours and welcoming and friendly. The tram station was right outside the hotel and the local area was cheaper than central Amsterdam and had good choice of food and safe nice neighbourhood. We liked where it was situated and been close to tram stop. The hotel was all on first floor which was good and was fine and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful.
The room felt a bit too small even though they were good value. I would have booked 2 singles if I had known how small doubles were in reality.
