The staff were very friendly and welcoming My room was recently refurbished and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was good quality and with a good variety. The location was very convenient for transport links and within walking distance of most things.

The weather was extremely cold during my stay and there was only a small portable heater in the room, taking some time to warm the place up. The bathroom was also freezing cold but I kept the door closed so it didn't bother me too much.

The staff were very friendly. I had an early flight home and, as I was leaving before breakfast service was due to begin, they prepared food and a drink for me to take with me, which was very considerate. The room was larger than I was expecting and very stylishly decorated, with a good shower in the en suite and comfy beds.

It wasn't too much of an issue for me as I only had a small overnight bag but the stairs are steep, narrow, and winding, and there is no lift. It would be tricky to navigate with large suitcases!

Excellent location with convenient access to public transport (I took the train from the airport and then the metro to the Rokin stop which was only a few minutes walk away). I was a woman traveling alone in the winter and although the sun set at 5pm I felt safe walking from the hotel to the south and west canals until around 9pm. It was easy to get to Albert Cuyp Markt and to the Rijksmuseum by tram. The hotel has the advantage of being on a wide but less noisy street (at least, in January) as the center remains busy and loud well into the night. Pleasant staff and clean accommodation. I would be happy to come back.

Small comments - a proper bathroom door would have been nice rather than a folding door with slats. The window in my particular room did not let in much light.

10 to 15 minute walk from the train station. Good location. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable and also the pillows were nice and soft. Good bathroom and shower, good water pressure, and hot water. Everything you needed in the room. 24-hour front desk, security was good. Virginia welcomed me on my arrival and was very helpful. Also, a big thank you to Nea, she worked at the front desk and also very kind and helpful. Also, the breakfast was very good. Nice little buffet. Enough to get you started in the morning, a big plus. I would recommend this property and would stay again here.

I had no idea how excellent the location would be when I booked it. What a pleasant surprise! The room was so beautiful and the bed so comfortable. Bonus points for the incredible decor - the giant chandellier in the room and the stunning washbasin in the bathroom werd such amazing touches! Excellent view to the canal. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Didn’t try the breakfast though it was included, so no opinion there.

It was too expensive to be honest. Yes the room was beautiful but still the overall amenities do not really justify the price. There is no lift, so moving luggage across the floors is challenging in those narrow steep stairs.

Perfect location for sightseeing in the area with good shopping/bars/eating places surrounding it. Close to many of the main sights and with the tram passing right infront. The room (not canal facing) was quiet and very comfortable with quirky decor and i did love having a Nespresso machine. Breakfast was an added bonus for me, with a great choice of food and pretty decent coffee. All staff were polite and friendly, without being intrusive. This was a very late booking, but definitely a good choice, just a shame i was only staying one night. I would choose this hotel again.

It is very convenient that there is a room that accommodated the 5 of us in the family. This hotel is easily walking distance to all the attractions. The staff are very accommodating. they even prepared an early breakfast for us when we had to leave for an early tour prior to their breakfast start. The breakfast spread is also awesome. They even had champagne in the morning. I would definitely come back to this hotel

There is no elevator. We had to haul our luggage to the 4th floor. Other than that, I like everything about this hotel.

Our canal view room had a stunning view (see our photos), and we loved watching the daily life of Amsterdam from our large windows. The location is excellent for walking to all the nearby popular sites. The breakfast options were fantastic, and every staff member was very friendly and helpful.

It was quite pricey, considering it was not high season. Stairs to the upper floors are very narrow and steep. It didn't bother us, as we needed the exercise after indulging in fries, stroopwaffel, and the great breakfasts, but those with mobility issues or heavy luggage would surely struggle.

From the check-in till the check-out the receptionist, Lisa was great! She is the perfect person to be in front of the house as she is very accommodating and friendly. We were welcomed by her by the moment we arrived. The hotel is a nice place to check in for those people who wants to be in the city center. An early check was made possible by Lisa too. We arrived at 11am and she told us to come back after an hour so by 12:30nn we are already in our room. She told us we can keep our luggage and come back. Hotel des Arts is 3 mins tram ride from Amsterdam Centraal. I like that they provided a nespresso machine inside the room, a water bottle, and the bathroom was super nice! I liked the mirror, shower, marbled walls and hot shower. The bed is super comfy and soft. The reception at night (I forgot her name) was accommodating too. Very clean hotel, I would definitely go back here when I return to Amsterdam. ++ for the ladies at the breakfast. I love the breakfast too!!! ❤️

- The stairs! No lift and we carried our luggage from ground to 2nd floor and vice versa when we checked out. - When we entered the room, it smelled like Chlorox. I like the fact that they clean the room but it’s too strong maybe they should use disinfectant instead of strong cleaning products.

The value for money was amazing!! The room was stunning with so much space. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the cost, making the price even better. It has its own cafe but also so many nice food places and shops close by. Also outside is the boat tours, which is super handy if your looking to do a river cruise (they give a discount price for the cruise tickets if you buy them at the hotel). This is a great accommodation that gives you value for your money. And plus it's located in the city centre too which is great!
