The location is great, super close to the Van Gogh Museum. Bed are very comfy and have double pillows. Heater was working perfectly.
Room was not super clean and relatively small. Cutlery provided was dirty, little bottle of wine already used. Very, very steep staircase to the rooms.

Lovely clean hotel, very welcoming. Room was perfect size with a nice view.
Water pressure in the shower. Spoke to the guests in the room next door and they had the same issue. Made showering very difficult as it was practically dribbling out. Only issue we had

Staff and service have been the friendliest and nicest ones I have found so far in Amsterdam. You really feel welcome! I also liked the freebies - little bottle of wine, apples, stroopwafels - that are given and the flexibility of the staff. If you arrive earlier than check-in time, you can leave your suitcase and explore the city. In my case, my room was ready so let me check-in earlier, which I appreciated. The location is perfect - the tram is a few steps away from the hotel and you can reach the central train station in around 20 minutes. Van Gogh museum is one stop away by tram. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet.
The stairs are tiny and there is no lift, so I wouldn't recommend if you have big, heavy suitcases with you. Cleanness of the room could be improved: due to their environmental policy, it was stated in the welcome handbook that staff would empty the bins every 3 days, but this didn't happen so the garbage just piled up. Thankfully it wasn't too hot in Amsterdam during my stay, but if it had been I don't think I'd have been able to use the fan, as it was incredibly dusty. I don't think they have air con.

This hotel is super charming, located in a cool and visibly rich neighbourhood with a wonderful park couple of steps away which was very much appreciated by me and by my dog. It is a typical old Amsterdam house with all its charms (and big windows you can enjoy to overlook the neighbourhood from). The staff was super nice and friendly, gave us a lot of information and tips.
It is a part of the old Amsterdam house charm, but you need to know that if you travel with a big suitcase you will have troubles on their super steep stairs. You need to pay extra attention on them and better have no handicap. But as I say, this is a part of the old style charm, at least you will know how these cute houses look inside.

The Neighbour’s Magnolia truly lives up to its name. It is beautifully surrounded by blooming magnolia trees, which add such a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The space was cozy, with a warm, local vibe. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and always ready to assist. The location was perfect for our plans. We wanted to explore the city on foot and visit nearby museums, and it was only about a 15-minute walk to most of the spots on our list. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. P.S. One things to note, there is no elevator, so light traveling is a good idea!

We encountered a bit of a situation within the family on our visit and the staff were exceptional with us. Really helpful and patient. We would like to offer our thanks to the two gents who helped us, we really apologise for the inconvenience! Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, bed size was great and bedding comfortable and clean little alarmed and swipe card set up on the room doors, we each had our own bathrooms/showers/baths/toilets. Building is a short (2 mins) walk from Tram stop on route no.s 2 and 12. Lovely neighbourhoood with bars/cafes near (but no noise from them and quiet streets). Try the pizza place over the street too. We were able to leave our luggage stacked with other customers within the reception area before check in, again, staff were lovely and we each got little stroopwaffels on our exit, Thank you my neighbours magnolia!
Ubiquitously narrow dutch stairs in a tall narrow building can't be helped but bear it in mind if you have a lot of luggage or large feet :)

Staff were very lovely and accommodating. Everything we needed at the hotel. Tea coffee, towels etc. Staff even did complimentary washing, we were able to drop this off and they returned to our room. Location is a bit out of the city centre, however we came for the NYE event. Tram stop less than 5 minutes away
Lack of lighting in the room, you could barely see unfortunately. The automatic heaters only work at certain time slots, however we couldn’t change the dial, being on the bottom floor it was either way too hot or cold when the heaters were off. Room is a bit run down but okay for a few days, also as mentioned in previous review, no lift, even with a big suitcase we survived

We got a great room up in the attic with a gorgeous window. The room had everything we needed. Breakfast was good but very simple, there's enough choises for vegetarians. The common living room/reception/breakfast area felt inviting and was great to do some work on my laptop. Late check-in and early check-out were possible.
Breakfast didn't include anything fresh like cut vegetables or berries. Only whole apples or bananas. Room-service was unpredictable and we didn't have a sign to put on our door.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location is good —right next to the beautiful Vondelpark, and within walking distance to all the major museums. Plus, there's a tram stop nearby, making it super convenient for getting around the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay - we recieved multiple key cards, and were able to store the cheese we have bought to bring home in their fridge upon our request. The only small downside is that, like in many old buildings in Amsterdam, there is no lift, so it makes it difficult to carry big luggage upstairs with steep stairs. However, the staff were quick to accommodate us by switching our room to a lower floor when they saw how heavy our luggage was, which made a difference. Upon arrival we recieved complimentary fruits and a bottle of wine. It was also pretty warm in the building. Overall, it was a great experience!

This is my second time in Amsterdam but first time in this hotel. I fell in love with the friendliness of the staff, especially Elroy. He showed us typical places to eat, where to take public transport and many other tips, he really helped us make our holidays fun and easy. When the welcome is of this type the hotel is rated 5 stars. There are stairs for those who have difficulty with suitcases especially is heavy but even in this case the fantastic Elroy helped us without even asking. The room was spacious and with a small garden outside, the bathroom was comfortable and with a welcome gift in the room. Definitely recommended.
