Just came back, Would 100% go back to this property. First stay in Amsterdam, location is perfect, can jump on 397 bus to the city centre at only €2.50 euro each. Can also jump on tram 6 to take you the same way. We used google maps and it took us to the tramp and bus stops very easy. Beds are exceptionally comfy and clean. Staff were excellent and we had new towels and beds made every day whilst we were out. Very much worth the price and better than some high end hotels I’ve stayed in! Will definitely be returning next Christmas time.

Not much bad things to say about this hotel other than there being a few roadworks outside which did cause a little bit of noise that may have interrupted our sleep the smallest bit. Shower wasn’t very powerful however did work and was hot therefore not much to moan about. Exceptional stay.

Nice hotel and room. We stayed in a three-person room on the first floor. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but we took a look at the breakfast buffet, and it looked very good. The location is in a really charming neighborhood with cafes, boutiques, and restaurants. There are a couple of grocery stores and delis within a block. Also, it was just a few minutes walk to the tram stop which was extremely handy to take to downtown. I think the bus stop was also really close. We enjoyed walking a lot, so everything was also within a pleasant walking distance, the Museumplein is only a 12-15 minute walk away. Would stay here again!

The shower's design isn't the best in the world, since the floor wasn't slanted enough for the water to drain properly into the drain, causing the floor to be flooding so that one couldn't use the sink or hairdryer without standing in water :D. However, we managed.

The hotel is located perfectly. It is easy to access from the airport and a short walk from the center. The breakfast was simple but nice. The room was comfortable with a good bed. We were only there for one night but I would stay again.

The breakfast could have had a few more vegan options. The hotel is advertised as having a shuttle to the airport but it is actually a private taxi service who they work with - not inherently a negative but not what I thought was meant by shuttle. The heating in the room was very warm and the shower had no lip so the bathroom ended up very wet.

I really liked the room - it was quite big for its budget. What's cool is that the toilet and the shower are located in two separate rooms which is especially convenient when you stay with family. My room was on the 1st floor and a very big window looked out into the street. The traffic gets really light in the evening so it didn't affect my sleep. However, I stayed right in front of the elevator and its opening and closing did affect the sleep... Even though people were incredibly nice and never talked in the corridors. The breakfast is cool and nourishing and the staff at the dining space is super friendly and nice <3 There is a big park nearby for running or walking. Leidseplein and a lot of shops, restaurants, cafes and other places of interest are in the walking distance.

The elevator's opening and closing even though it was not creaky or noisy :) I understand that it's merely my attentive sleep

The Alfred is very cute on the outside and comfortable on the inside. I loved the location, its a great neighborhood and the hotel’s street had great options of restaurants, bakeries and market. Its not very close to the city center (but super easy to get there by the tram) but walking distance to vondelpark and museumplein. The room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly.

The double bed was actually two single beds together, that wasn’t very comfortable at night. The lobby was going through some sort of renovation, so it was a little messy but nothing that would interfere on our stay.

Hotel's location is amazing! It takes one bus ride to get to and from the airport. You can get to the Museumplein in 10 minutes by foot, and all public transportation is easily available from the hotel. There's a street next to hotel with very nice bistros and restaurants as well. The neighborhood is really lovely and safe. The room is okay, the pictures were taken when the hotel was brand new I believe, but still, everything was functional, bed is comfy and the bathroom is good.

If I'd have to provide any negative feedback, it would be the noise. The doors are paper-thin. So if there's any commotion in the hallway, it sounds like your door is wide open. Also, hot water pipes pass through the room so if you're visiting in the summer it feels like the heating is on, our AC was constantly turned on.

Really really nice hotel for the price you pay. I’d advise you stay here for a small holidays. Staff is super friendly, the room was super clean, the bed was so comfortable. If you’re looking for a gym while on vacations there’s a really good one in front of the hotel. The breakfast food there is also superb.

Any negative side in my opinion is that it was a bit far from museums square, but it depends on what you’re going for. Overall Amsterdam as really good public transports, and the hotel has some really close to it. So I advise you to use them, since they’re cheap and very good.

Location was fabulous in the heart of “old south”, a few blocks from the museum plaza and the central canals, great restaurants and shops; the rooms were very comfortable, and we love the option of having a triple room since there were three of us (many hotels require you to book a second room, if you have more than two people). Everyone at the front desk was exceptional, very helpful and kind! So nice to be able to order a pizza in the evenings after a long day out and about!

A small refrigerator in the room was really missing. The front desk was kind to let us keep some things in their refrigerator at the front desk, but would have been nice to keep some fresh fruit, cold water, and beverages and restaurant leftovers in our own refrigerator in our room especially because there was not a kitchen.

Good value for the cost, especially compared with the remaining offer available in the area. The room was clean and well-dimensioned, as well as the bathroom. We found the beds comfortable. There were coffee mugs and a coffee machine in the room, which was quite useful for us. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and they seemed really helpful. The location was great, as the hotel was close to different tram lines and different attractions.

We stayed on the ground floor and the noise was often too much in the evening. We could also hear it every time someone used the vending machine. Maybe we were unlucky, but some of the neighbouring guests were also quite loud in the hallway. Minor point: while showering, the water always "escaped" under the shower door and wet the floor outside.

The hotel is close to public transport for airport and city. It's about a 5 minute walk to the tram into the city and walking distance to major museums and galleries. Comfy bed, working AC, and great housekeeping staff.

Good for a night but make sure to get a nice room for a longer stay - the budget rooms were even smaller than we expected and not like the pictures. The WIFI barely worked on the 5th floor so we had to go down to the lobby to use internet. The fire alarm also went off at 11:30pm (seems to be a common occurrence from reviews) and there was no response to it from any staff.
