The hotel and restaurant staff were warm and friendly. They gave me a room facing the river and the fields, so my room had a great view. Additionally, I had the opportunity to have breakfast at the riverside tables in the restaurant. The breakfast options were varied and good. The restaurant menu and drinks were satisfying. Despite being in a small town, it was a clean hotel with plenty of rooms. It is close to the city of Utrecht, and for those like me who travel by car, it is centrally located, making it possible to reach different areas within 1.5 hours. The cleanliness, amenities, and spaciousness of the rooms were quite good.

The shower cabin was very small; it would have been better if it were a bit more spacious. They don't have their own parking lot, but there are easily accessible parking spots right in front of the hotel

Stayed for 1 night while attending a wedding nearby. Service provided was outstanding - from facilitating early check-in, borrowing an iron/ironing board, to shopping at the hotel shop. I didn't get a chance to dine at the restaurant/bar, but their shop has a fine selection of Belgian Trappist beer, including Westvleteren 12, which was chilled for me to enjoy in my hotel room balcony. I booked a single room but it was in fact a twin room and was quite spacious (including balcony with river view). Room/bathroom have all the facilities that you would need. Free car parking in front of the hotel is also great, although space is limited (3 spaces only).

Hotel parking only has space for 3 cars. When I returned in the evening, I had to park in the town square (only 10 metres from the hotel) which luckily didn't have restrictions/free on Sunday. Luckily in the morning, a space became available at the hotel and I could move my car.

We booked very much last minute through booking.com and when we arrived we didn't just get a room, but a luxery flat. It was enormous openplan room with livingroom, kitchen and dinningroom. It was all very moden and my kids wanted us to live there always. Great views from the bedrooms, looking out over the kanal and fields. It was very peaseful and beutiful. We would without a doubt go back. It was great value for money and we could not have asked for more. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was very good.

the location, between the river “Oude Rijn” and the old church, is very good. The staff was very very good, providing us with a large television to watch our old family-videos.

nothing, except that the music was on in the restaurant, making it difficult for us older people to hear each other. Older people who often have hearing problems, prefer no-music restaurants!

The room was very spacious and great for a family with young kids. The members of the hotel were always very friendly, polite and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and fresh. We had a great couple of days.

I would have loved to have our private small fridge for water and small items instead of sharing one small one with other guests. A small kettle and a selection of teas and coffees is always a standard nowadays so I was expecting by default.

The location was excellent - village centre with parking and a beautiful church to the front, a small canal and views over farmland to the rear. The restaurant/ bar was very pleasant with good choices for dinner and breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Saturday night noise in the village. Young people letting off steam on a warm evening. Not a normal occrence I'm sure..

Second stay here ….and again not disappointed by this nice friendly family run hotel in a typical small Dutch town. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Everything super clean. Breakfast had everything you need including very fresh baked goods. Just a nice change from corporate hotels and convenient location for meeting in De Meern nearby.

I stayed one night - really nothing to fault.

Harmelen is a very nice village. Good connections to Utrecht, Amsterdam, denHaag both by car and bus/train. Very nice room. Good breakfast. Nice people that run it!

Our room was looking on the street and cars very noisy in the early morning.

The hotel and restaurant are exceptional. The personell was very friendly and helpful, the food and breakfast very good. The room was clean, quiet, and had a great view over the canal. I was able to store my bike securely in the garage. The location is also great, if you want to explore Harmelen. Will definately come back :-)

Nothing to complain about

The village in which the hotel is located is easy to reach and absolutely adorable. The view over the water is fantastic too. The rooms have plenty of space and are very comfortable. The beds and shower are just perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is very good too. We will definitely come again.

I would have loved to have a kettle in the room (with kids it's always nice to be able to make a cup of tea without having to leave the room), but other than that all was very, very lovely.
