Central location, beautiful building, great vibe, very comfortable beds and the pods were quite spacious. Staff were incredibly helpful and check in etc is very easy. Great service in the restaurant and nice food too.

It’s built on the Japanese pod model, which is a great concept but Dutch people are, unfortunately, quite a bit louder than Japanese people so there were noises in the night (phones going off, people coming back late and using the bathroom quite loudly and even someone making a phone call in the middle of the night) but maybe I was just unlucky.

Great location, a few minutes walk to the center of the city and also the train station. A really fun hotel/hostel, great vibes and decor. The bunks are great, very comfortable beds and great to be in a hostel but also have privacy since all bunks are enclosed. It’s all very thoughtfully designed and very well done. The shared bathroom is also nice, with lots of toilets and showers (with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided) and hair dryers, etc. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I also used the coworking space and found it to be a good setup with strong wifi. Overall, definitely recommend this place.

I really enjoyed the upscale take on a hostel. I liked the bar and lounge area when it was available. The showers and toilets were easily accessible. I think the photos online accurately described what you were getting.

The ladder is very small and metal, so it hurt my feet a bit climbing up and down. Also with socks on metal, I felt I could have easily slipped, especially if i had needed to quickly get down in the night. I wish there was more lounge space for people to interact more, there wasn't much of a sense of community. It was a very wifi-laptop-headphones-traveler type space. I also felt the food and drinks were a bit expensive (but good drinks!).

The building is beautiful, location is great and the bed in the bunks was very comfortable! The double bed bunk was big enough and quite cozy. The bathroom was very clean, I’ve seen people cleaning quite often. Showers were very spacious. Great hostel facilities and a lot of little details you need when staying in a hostel.

Value for money is OK. At the end of the day it’s a hostel, but you’re paying a bit more than you’d expect, but could be just NL prices in general. The room and bathroom were too cold!

The skylight in the room, the cleanliness, the incredible location and the cool environment, owing to the previous use of the building as a church.

My only gripes were about small things, like for example that there was no easy access to trash besides the small can in by the toilet. There was a sorting station a few minutes from our room, which needed one to pass through a few doors. Also, the steps in the room were a bit too small and I could see myself stumbling, especially late at night or just after waking up. But these gripes are only visible because everything else was great!

The matress and pillow in the pod were both very comfortable. There was fresh air circulating even though there are no windows in the pods. I enjoyed the detail of being able to change the warmth and colour of the lamp. I found the pod incredibly spacious. I slept very well, and as a solo female traveller I felt very safe. I think the concept is great, and the toilets were always clean and tidy. I was very happy with my stay!

The locker might have been a bit bigger. Otherwise, I have absolutely nothing I think could be improved.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is just next to train station and two minutes walk to the city centre. Common showers and toilets are super clean, shower is hot! Bar area is very cool and food is delicious. Pods are spacious, with locker next to each pod.

Lockers to use after check out are chargeable, however I have to say my card was not working and the staff kindly opened one for me and free of charge. Very strong aircon in the corridor of pods room which gives you sore-throat. Pods do have a curtain, not a door, so this does not guarantee 'real' privacy. No chill/common area for pods users, however you can use the bar. Price of the pod over the weekend is almost twice compared to weekdays!

My stay at the Bunk Hotel exceeded all expectations. 1. Location - it was much better than I thought it would be - everywhere was close, there were many restaurants or bars around, as well as a shopping center, and the music complex where I spent most of my time was only one block away. 2 Facility - I spent two nights sleeping in the Bunk Pod and the capsule was of a much better standard than the capsules I had seen so far - first of all, it was higher and had a double mattress. In addition, the room itself, where the capsules were located, was well soundproofed. I slept great there. 3. Food - delicious and filling, the restaurant had both gluten-free and vegan options, and a detailed allergen chart is available. Kudos. 4. Service - by far the greatest value of the entire facility. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make your stay enjoyable. Let me give an example that surprised me: On the first evening I misunderstood the locker system and instead of using the free locker under the sleeping pod, I rented a paid locker in the corridor for 24 hours. I realized this within a couple of minutes, and immediately vacated the paid locker. I didn't have high hopes of getting the fee back, but I asked the staff about it, hoping for at least a partial refund. I was told at the reception desk that this would probably not be possible, but as compensation for this - even though it was my mistake - they could offer me a free coffee. A very nice gesture, which I accepted and carried on with my day. Imagine my surprise when the next day I received a refund of the full amount paid for the locker rental. I simply have no words, outstanding customer service. Most hotels would not care. 5. Self-service - an additional plus was that the entire check-in and check-out process is self-service. You can check in at any time, even in the middle of the night, and everything is done with access cards, even lockers.

The only thing that comes to mind is that access to the capsules located higher up could be more comfortable - especially the ladders leading to them. That's the only downside - other than that, everything was excellent.

The location of the hotel was excellent. 5min from the train station inside the oldtown. Hotel stuff was pleasant, polite, excellent. The hotel was nicely decorated, had a very cozy vibe, the rooms were modern, and perfectly designed to maximise use of space

BUT. A big but. We paid quit large sum for the large 4 people bunk bed room. The room was tiny. Max 14sqm. There was absolutely no space for our luggage (we were packing light with easyjet). No fridge either (which seems to be normal in Netherlands but huge downside everywhere else). No closet. No space to place clothes. Would have been small even for two...

The vibe is amazing! It is in a refurbished church and the common dining area has enormous ceilings. The staff were amazing, helpful and always smiling. We ate breakfast and one dinner there and the food was great. The location is super convenient just around the corner from the Utrecht Central station but in an alley which continues to a charming wildflower garden.

The room was cozy which was ok but the bathroom door doubles up for the shower and then also the toilet which was odd. The bathrooms door and walls are made of glass which was also not the best idea in such a small room meant for 3 people!
