Great location and very clean rooms, but the highlight was the exceptional service - they really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Room is good size and bathroom is big. Location is very convenient, close to everything.

The only thing I didn’t like during my stay was room 203 bang the door when people went in and went out during the late night(12am)and early morning (5am).It was on the 10th of August that particular night , I stayed in room 204. The room is not very sound proof.

Great location near spark arena where I was attending an event in the evening. Modern, clean room. Very friendly front desk staff. Umbrellas in reception to borrow were great as it was raining during our stay.

No parking, however easy to find parking and easily accessible parking near by at the arena car park overnight, but the fee is $45. Fancied a cup of tea on our return from the event and there was none in the room. I also needed to write something down and I didn't have a pen, there wasn't one on the desk. Sometimes it's the small things that are over overlooked. The room was quite small.

The proximity to the CBD was ideal but we mainly used this as a base to explore the rural areas. It was clean and the hotel staff were absolutely lovely. Additionally, their discounted rate for the nearby car park meant we got 24 hours parking for £15! That’s unheard of in most UK cities! I’d certainly use the hotel again if I was looking for an Auckland city break!

The bathroom had an obvious and constant smell of sewerage, we had to keep the door closed at all times so that it wouldn’t waft into the bedroom.

I stayed for three nights while studying at AKL Uni for a course. I was initially disappointed to be right next the elevator but I didn't hear a thing the whole time. The room was comfortable and clean. I worked at the desk in comfort and definitely needed the mini fridge for my breakfast things. The bed was comfortable with nice big pillows. Check in and check out was really easy.

I would have really liked to have been able to crack a window open. When I arrived, the heater was on 27degrees and I was hot from a long walk with bags. I would have liked some fresh air in there during the days.

Beautiful room, exceeded expectations. Spacious, clean bathroom, great shower pressure & quality toiletries. Warm, quiet & well set up room. Stylish & comfortable furnishings with great attention to the finer details. Excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. Overall lush feel, perfect for a weekend escape - we will definitely be returning!

Not really a gripe on the hotel (which is perfect!) We were expecting to pay for accommodation when we got to the hotel but payment was taken a few days beforehand. We also didn't realize there was a $150 security deposit for our room until we had arrived to check in so felt a little awkward & unprepared.

A very well located hotel, within walking distance to many facilities like a laundromat, groceries and some cafes. The staff is there 24/7 to help you, and will give you suggestions on where to get nice food or some interesting places to visit. It is also one of the "central hotels" that many tour companies can pick you up at!

There is no restaurant in the hotel, but you get access to a microwave in your own room. It's okay for a quick snack (considering that there is a Woolworths across the street).

Very nice hotel - everything clean, fixtures and fittings were quite new, nice decor. Fridge and freezer was useful as I kept snacks for some of my day trips in Auckland, as well as the microwave and kettle. The streaming from phone to TV was great too so I could watch a bit of Netflix to unwind at night. I had a bit of trouble and just asked at the desk and they fixed it for me (just had to change input from HDMI 1 to 3). Was kindly allowed to check out half an hour late to meet my bus schedule. Great location for me - I did a whale tour, visited the Art Gallery and Weta Workshop and ate at restaurants with vegan options (Bossi, Cafe Hanoi, Ima Cusisine, Tart Bakery) which were all within walking distance.

Incredibly lovely and helpful staff Excellent location Very very very clean, bathroom smelled super fresh The comfiest bed I've slept on in a long time, with lots of pillows to choose from The added heater in the room was a lovely touch in these cold Auckland winters, and easy to put on and leave it to warm up the room while we're out rather than wait for aircon Lovely coconut oil toiletries with actual good ingredients Finally, the view from room 1405 is IT. Looks out over the harbour and gets a gorgeous sunrise, definitely not to be missed.

Slippers and robes would be a nice addition

This is the second time I have stayed at Imagine Beach road, one year apart from each other. First of all, the room is comfortable, clean and in a great location. Value for money is excellent. Last year the cast to TV function wasn't working the best (other rooms were continuously taking over my TV!) but this time around the problems were resolved. The bed, bathroom and furnishings are good, the staff are friendly. I would stay here again for sure as its a truly convenient location, nicely appointed.

I would say that the cleaning schedule is erratic. I did not get a 'yes/no' cleaning sign for my door, and in any case on one occasion a cleaning lady popped her head in at 5pm while I was having a quick nap! Which was a little embarassing/unexpected. Last time I visited my room didn't even get cleaned at all the entire time (even though I had a sign on my door). I would say this hotel needs to make communication re: cleaning schedules much clearer.
