The location and staff

It was super dirty. There were even left overs from someone else in the fridge when we arrived. I washed doorknobs and light switches because it was that dirty. The couch smelled like BO as well. It just needs a bit of quality control with the housekeeping staff!

I liked that the place is like home away from home, and has its own washer and drier, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and the rooms are very spacious with its own ensuite bathroom, more than one heater and heatpump, sky Tv, and has a patio with a table and chairs and even a bbq grill with a lovely view of the city and the harbour. Another thing is the accesibility to the ferry, and bus, as well as being near everything ( countdown supermarket, dominos, mcdonalds, fish n chip shop, and other small restaurants, and also a medical clinic, lab, physiotherapy, pharmacy when needed especially if you have a rental car to use. I also love that their toilet paper is made from sustainable products, and their lition is non greasy and really moisturizes.

The carpark becomes muddy when it rains that the guests' footwear get dirty and in turn makes the hotel lobby's carpet dirty. This is such a gem of a place that it is a must for the management to invest in improving the carpark and garden and either change the carpet in the lobby of the hotel or remove the carpet altogether and just opt for nonslip tiles which are easier and cheaper to clean and maintain. Also, it would be better to invest in fixed refillable bottle dispensers in the toilet and showers to reduce the use of plastic containers and have new duvet inners too, and fix the sofa bed in the lounge. Other than these minor things, i love this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone. It is well worth it compared to any of the newer hotels you can find.

We loved staying here. Excellent value for money. We were upgraded to level 3 which had an amazing view of the Harbour Bridge and Sky Tower all lit up at night which we enjoyed from our balcony. We stayed as we had a concert that night and were able to have several friends join us in our room to get ready. Room is very large and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Had everything we needed. Super quiet location.

I filled the bathroom vanity with hot water to wash my face and could not get the plug back up to release the water. Incredibly minor. Not marking them down for this as the stay was fantastic for us

The greeting at reception was welcoming and the free room upgrade was unexpected but very lovely after a stressful day. The parking was a little tight down the side of the hotel, but we were told to park close to the entrance which made everything easy. The room was spacious, spotless and beds very comfy. The outlook across the harbour was a delight from the balcony and the western sunset a sight.

Due to the distance from eateries, it will be great to have restaurant or dinner option available. However, one can always order a delivery, or bring own meal items. Rooms are well equipped.

room sizes are excellent

the view from the rooms is crap unless you pay an extra $60 per night then u can have a better room and the milk is those pathetic tinny pottles so if u like a hot drink at night and in the morning but a milk lol oh and coffee tea and sugar because they only give u a few of each

A wonderful place to stay. A beautiful very comfortable large apartment that felt like home from home with everything you could need. A lovely 10 minute ferry trip to downtown. Much nicer than staying downtown. Very helpful friendly staff. Highly recommend. Also wonderful views of the harbour bridge and down town lights from the outside terrace

There was nothing I didnt like . The only point to mention is there are no shops or restaurants near by do you need to eat before you go back to the hotel or take good back with you as there is a fully equipped kitchen

That the staff was very helpful and even done our washing for us cause we didn't know how to use the dryer loved the space the room had to offer

That there was only one shower 🚿 in it was in one of the bedrooms the dishwasher wasn't working but staff did do first day of dishes and even tho not listed in room the pull out sofa was also broken and we had to pay for extra single bed but that's ok cause it wasn't listed but could have been fixed along with dishwasher could Gabe saved 80 dollars also no restaurant anymore I hope you open the kitchen again cause that be great

The location is great, close to wharf, shops and restaurants. View across the water is excellent from the road front apartments, however if you are given room 11 your view is partly interrupted by a palm tree. Kitchen and bathroom are large and clean. Guest laundry.

The person in the apartment below me was smoking a lot on the last day of my stay. This meant I couldn't use my balcony or leave my balcony doors open because of the smoke. The balcony is narrow and offers virtually no protection when it is raining. Although I didn't have any trouble checking in, the office is regularly unattended and I tried to assist one couple trying to check-in who couldn't get an answer on the phone number provided even though it was only 7 PM in the evening.

It's always a good start to a stay when you arrive to find you have been upgraded. In this instance we given a one bedroom apartment with expansive views of Auckland CBD, the harbour bridge and Bayswater Marina, and a balcony to enjoy them from. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and really good shower. Wifi was fast and there's free onsite parking. Staff were polite and helpful.

Didn't love that previous guests had been stubbing out their cigarettes on the legs of the outdoor table.

Our suite far exceeded my expectations, and was brilliant for our family of 5. Two bedrooms, a shared lounge a great kitchenette and a bonus of a laundry. The view over the city was incredible, we enjoyed watching the Matariki light show with the kids. Typically we would have stayed at the Airbnb, but I will be back to stay at Ocean Breeze instead. Thank you!

Some of the facilities seemed a little tired, however the price and location more than made up for it!
