Very welcoming and obliging staff members. Perfect location in the Viaduct area . Wonderful restaurants nearby. Their car park was appreciated in the city , the pool and gym with the enclosed Parc to contemplate or walk through were perfect. I'd imagine the Parc garden would be gorgeous in the Spring and Summer. The Ohtel Pantry breakfasts were delicious and the welcome drink and our evening flat white with Tia Maria completed perfect days. I was impressed that the staff contacted me almost immediately when I left something behind!

A very small thing. Maybe a wee sign under the light switch advising how to turn it off is required for older people.

Included breakfast was a bonus and was delicious. A good location right near the water/ ferry with easy access to walking to queen street/ main shopping district and only short drive to other areas in city. Staff were lovely and very helpful and our room (superior with balcony) was a great size, especially for a four night stay. Facilities were also great and clean

The situation of the bathroom not being closed off from the main room/ behind the bed was bizarre and doesn’t provide much privacy.

Very good location and easy walk to viaduct harbour, city centre and ferry terminals etc. Very modern small hotel (uber chic) with plenty of technology in the rooms. Very clean, nice staff, very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and probably the best we had in NZ.

Needs more towel racks in the bathroom - hanging more than 1 towel is nigh on impossible particularly if you want to use them more than once - the notices encourage this but there is a practical aspect to that. Outlook into 'courtyard' was average - dead plants in a courtyard does make a courtyard garden - is really a wasted space with no views. Maybe more suited to short term stays rather than 'long term travellers with plenty of luggage'.

This little boutique hotel had everything we needed and wanted: the rooms were so well appointed, with extra little touches like two Nespresso machines, a choice of pillows, cool 60s decor and cleverly designed layouts; the staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, and got us into our second room (we had to make two separate bookings) immediately after we left the first; the hotel is well situated, walking distance to the waterfront, restaurants, bars and shopping; and the breakfasts were outstanding. Stay here! You won’t be disappointed.

We had an issue with noise from the air conditioner, but the staff were great about it.

Location- was 2 min walk to Viaduct and many restaurants and attractions- very vibrant scene- Staff overall was great, especially Nicole- She greeted us outside on the arrival of our airport shuttle and helped us with our bags and check in- Housekeeping staff also very friendly- Front desk happily booked our airport taxi for us as well- Rooms very tastefully decorated and comfortable- would definitely stay here again

This was not a big deal but worth mentioning: We wanted to use the pool and hot tub at 9:15PM (was advertised to close at 11PM) and the clerk followed us out and told us that it would be closing soon. When we said we thought it was open until 11, he told us to go in but to 'make it quick'. We opted not to go in after that interaction. Also, the hot tub was enclosed in what looked like a cage and was not very inviting. I understand that they have to take safety precautions but that seemed a bit harsh..

Small boutique chain - very clean and comfortable, trendy decor, very good selection of toiletries, quality towels, good nights sleep had in the large bed. Good location near the harbour. Good al a carte breakfast of which 1 choice can be made on the menu. Staff very friendly, thank you Luke for looking after us.

Some of the rooms have windows that don’t open . Stayed for two nights and where given a room with a window on the second night as preferred the fresh air to air conditioning being on all the time. The bathroom is cleverly part of the bedroom , behind glass - going to the toilet is not really hidden and maybe a problem for some guests - there is one downstairs however if an issue. Only being allowed 1 drink as part of the breakfast package seemed a bit mean for the standard of the hotel - ie you could either have an orange juice or hot drink but not both, unless you paid for it - compared to the excellent attention given to the other amenities, that one was a bit disappointing.

The room was great at Ohtel, the decor was cool and it looked like it had been recently renovated. Everything was comfortable and breakfast was lovely, with a good selection of options to choose from. The hotel was an 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal & about the same to the sky tower. All of the staff were friendly and very happy to help!

Our room got very warm in the afternoon, due to the direct sun. To be fair, there’s nothing that could be done about this and the air con helped cool it back off after dark 🙂

This is a gorgeous, retro, mid-century decor hotel that is super cool! We loved our spacious room with all the unique decor, the stunning black tiled bathroom and moon mirror and the private deck! The lobby and breakfast space are super comfortable and the pool and hot tub areas are great. The staff was wonderful in storing our bags and letting us come and go during the day after we checked out and were waiting for our evening flight. This hotel is just around the corner from the harbor and all the restaurants, but is in a very quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again!!

When we arrive very early for check in we were absolutely shattered and were given options where to go or sit and wait for a room to be ready . We wandered around for two hours but couldn’t take it anymore- so went back to hotel to ask about a room available but none were. So we sat and my partner started to feel ill from tiredness thankfully when someone checked out they had our room ready so early we couldn’t be more thankful. Also was offered complimentary drinks and held our bags . The actual stay was fantastic too the big bubble bath comfy bed couldn’t of asked for more. Thank you so much

The location was good.

In a seven week trip, this was the worst hotel. The gal at the front desk (I think manager) treated us like second class guests because we booked through booking.com. We had to move rooms since we were, at first, out into a room for disabled with the shower that makes the entire room wet. The next room was small, street view with a dirty carpet. The shower leaked water into the toilet area no matter what we did. We had stayed in a different Ohtel in Wellington it had a great stay. This one was very disappointing.
