Well located with respect to the Airport. A compact and functional room/bathroom that was clean and tidy.

Not an issue but the parking was a little confusing with another can parked directly outside our room. Hence we parked outside someone else's. Perhaps some indication of which spot goes with each room would be helpful.

Close to Airport.

The airport shuttle only starts at 9am so therefore no use if your flight is in the morning. I felt this should have been noted in the information. We had to catch a taxi and would have stayed at another hotel close to the airport that provided a better shuttle service. Also very limited in food options close by.

The room was clean and spacious. The motel was quiet and the unit comfortable. Parking right outside. Close to the airport and Southern SH1.

Room service had not been finished before arrival. The rubbish bin had not been emptied from previous guests and there was no towel or dishcloth and a few other items that would normally be completed before the next guests. Minor irritations only. The unit was still clean, and we had clean linen.

We came off long flights from Canada and just needed a bed . Birches was quick and easy to find from Christchurch airport. The room was clean, comfortable and bedding was warm and cozy. We only used the kettle, coffee pot and microwave but could have cooked a meal on the hot plate. The kitchenette was well equipped for that. I really appreciated that there was a choice of flat or fat pillows. There was a lockbox for our room key when we arrived and my husband had a pleasant chat with the manager in the morning. There were beautiful flowers on the ground-lovely when you are a winter escapee.

Everything about Airport Birches was great. Close to the airport, clean, comfortable and well equipped accommodation. But the real asset is the staff, all of whom were friendly and amenable. A special mention for Brian who was managing the place in the absence of the owners. He was extremely helpful, friendly, attentive and accommodating about everything we needed, be it an earlier check in, advice on where to get food/supplies near to the motel or dropping us off at our car rental depot at the end of our stay. Highly recommended and we will, indeed, be back!

Have stayed here several times and always receive great service from the staff. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. It is sufficiently off the road so you cannot hear the traffic noise at night. The are good kitchen facilities in the room including a sink, microwave, kettle, & toaster. Always enjoy my stay here.

Warm, quiet. Great shower, comfy beds

Bring your own shampoo if you want to shower. The body wash and shampoo provided is awful, like dish wash in your hair. Everything else was great

Great location and really quiet from the Road traffic noise. Lovely friendly staff and I felt very secure snd safe there.

The room was very comfortable and I did appreciate the extra blanket, but the bed was a little hard and I did purchase a hot water bottle.

Close to airport. Very comfortable room. Most obliging managers. Easy transfer by property managers to the airport. Very reasonably priced continental breakfast delivered the room night before departure. Quiet. Not much negative we could comment on.

Seemed hot water a bit short for showers. Did not take this issue up with managers so not sure if this was an isolated issue.

Easy, cheerful check-in. Room was smaller but bathroom large. Bed comfy. Good kitchen facilities with plenty of what we needed. Liked having a table and chairs for eating. TV easy to work out how to use. Very good internet. Best of all, it was quiet, so we heard no neighbours and got a good sleep. Handy to airport.

Luggage rack for unpacking had to be in the bathroom for lack of space, but we didn't really need to use it so it wasn't a problem. Really nothing to criticise for a good budget motel.
