We had a fantastic time at Denton Park! The location was amazing. Easy to get to central Christchurch and right next to a large mall with shopping and places to eat. Motel is right on main state highway but there is no traffic noise. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It had its own balcony and view of the park. The kitchen was well-equipped and the shower was lovely and powerful. We asked for an upstairs room and got one, and it came with easy parking. The motel gardens and grounds are really well looked after and there were flowers everywhere. Would highly recommend as was incredibly good value for money too. Thanks Jeff and Cheryl!

Nice sized unit, with 2 bedrooms. Clean and well presented. Plenty of heaters to warm it up in the Christchurch winter. Handy to to the arterial routes to the airport, city centre and the main road south. Close to supermarkets and restaurants, takeaways and bars.

Minor thing, but it would be ideal to have been able to set the thermostats on the heaters to allow a temperature to be chosen they seemingly were just on-or-off settings so we had to keep turning them on or off to manage the room temperature.

Very friendly owner/operators and it was a very good space. I had a rental car so it was relatively quick to the motorway to get around. I would regulary walk to the Hornby Mall next to the park for coffee and there is a supermarket there to get supplies. Very handy. The rooms are clean and functional. The bed was comfy. Overall a good stay and better than most motels in Christchurch I am sure.

No A/C with the heat was a bit rough in mid-30's heat. A fan is supplied in the room so it took the edge off, but a wall mounted unit would have been welcome. Not a problem most of the time probably.

Cheryl and Jeff were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcomed. There was nothing that wasn't a problem and they were always willing to offer advice and recommendations especially as we were from the North Island. Cheryl went above and beyond to help us and the location of the motel was perfect. The Motel was immaculate and conveniently serviced daily. The room was much bigger than we had thought and comfortably fit 2 adults and 2 children. We stayed in a 1 bedroom studio and had requested an extra single bed in the lounge area. This was perfect for our family configuration.

Location perfect, outside the city of Christchurch but that is what we wanted. There is a hub nearby which caters for pretty much everything. Pak 'n' Save was our preferred choice for food shopping. The kitchen in the unit was ideal for our needs. The hosts were friendly and fantastic and couldn't do enough to help you make the most of your stay.

Absolutely lovely Grounds and Room was a good size.It was everything we were looking for and the bedroom was quite,we stayed in Spa Unit 😀 Room 9 The Hosts were lovely and so were the staff.Our Room was serviced everyday which was great 👍

The Couch was a but uncomfortable and it was abit dusty/dirty behind the bed. No lamp in lounge so took one out of bedroom as I didn't like the lights in lounge.

The breakfast provided was excellent - yummy porridge, great for a crisp winter morning. Overall I was very happy with the unit - it was quiet, with a comfy bed and an excellent hot shower.

For someone on a flying visit from Auckland, I felt the southern chill quite a bit and while the heater and electric blanket provided was very good, I did feel quite cold most of the time I was sitting in the unit in the evenings. Other than that, I really enjoyed my few days there

Found the location of this motel to be perfect. The rooms were clean and quiet, and while I had a small issue, the hosts were brilliant in resolution. Thank you.

While my request for parking was catered for the guy next to me was in a truck which did not cater to sharing the space. Car was still there in the morning so this was a minor niggle :)

Loved this Motel. Cheryl was such a wonderful host. We stayed a few nights stopping over for a wedding. The room was a great size, lovely lounge/kitchen, super comfy bed & blackout curtains. Very clean & well equipped. Easy walking distance to a shopping mall, supermarkets & Dressmart Outlet. Thank you for making us feel so welcome & at home.

Very friendly owners/staff who take great pride in motel. This is reflected in how spotless the property was. Well equipped kitchen and other utilities. It was a great location as it was not that far away from the airport and lots of local shops and eateries.
