Well appointed room was comfortable and clean, most comfortable bed ever and bar/ restaurant on site. Super speedy check in and check out, stellar cleaning staff. Beautiful views from my upstairs room.

Room neeede a bit of TLC. Curtains were stained and the mini fridge was noisy and rusty and leaked a bit.

Easy walk across the road for a swim in the lake. Heat pump/cooler to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Really comfortable bed. Tiniest fridge but extremely quiet which is a bonus for light sleepers. A previous occupier seemed to have packed the bench top induction cooker to go so there was initially nothing to cook on. This was soon rectified by the office manager who immediately found a stovetop element I could use. The motel is right by what used to be the main road, but heavy traffic now mostly travels on the new back road so road noise wasn't a noticeable intrusion for me. Very pleasant service staff who diligently checked every day if I required clean towels, I stayed 4 nights.

I am not usually a fan of net curtains but given the full view to the road and pedestrian traffic, it have might have felt a bit more private having some. I did get used to the openness.

Conveniently located on the lakefront and within easy reach of centre (can be walked but you might want to drive). Four Square supermarket within walking distance. There's a promenade across the road for an evening stroll. Great views of the distant Tongariro Regional Park from the lakefront and but only from the three rooms facing the lake and you need to specify and pay extra for them.

We were unfortunately in a ground floor room, with a view of the car park and next to the adjoining jolly fellows pub - a bit noisy with their back doors open. Very poor WiFi - no speed at all and the connection kept dropping

Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for our needs. Small things let the room down, such as sensor light in bathroom could have been a lower wattage bulb. Covers on electrical sockets. Some of the furniture, i.e. tv table could have been removed.

The room was spotless the spa a bonus. Then we had the view of lake and mountains with a little snow on the top .been traveling for a week so needed to use laundry 🧺 it was free ☺️ the restaurant right next door has beautiful food .this will be our go to place to stay in Taupo.for all trips .thank you twin peaks. It was for our anniversary and it didn't disappoint.

The stairs but worth carrying all the bag's up for that view and beautiful room .

I really enjoyed the service of the front desk at the hotel they were very welcoming as we were able to check in earlier than we booked, as well as the location of our room exceeded our expectation of what we'd get, as we were able to have a good view of the lake and the mountains. My family and I also really enjoyed our whole room and how homey it felt, especially how comfortable our beds were. Overall I would say that our stay at the Twin Peaks Inn made our little trip more special and memorable.

Room was well equipped, very nice bathroom and beds were very comfortable. Room had a view of the lake. Air conditioning was running went we entered the room so it was nice to walk into a warm room after having braved it at a rainy racetrack all day. Staff member who checked us in was very friendly and helpful even though he was super busy.

the reception parking was a bit hard as the space was taken up by a ute and trailer, but this maybe due to a visitor not reading the description of the motel that says there's 1 allocated parking space per room. It was good of the motel to accommodate the visitor, but made checking in a pain as we were either blocking the entrance to the motel or taking up someone else's parking spot until we found out which room was ours. If you have a trailer or larger than normal NZ vehicle (Dodge Ram, F150) you will need to find alternative parking as the parking at the motel isn't large and can be tight to manoeuvre around.

Curtains over the front door as you enter were stained and dirty! Noticed it as soon as we came in. Our second day we popped out for the day only to return that they hadn't even vacuumed, but had emptied bins and replaced towels. There was no dust pan or brush that we could use to sweep away crumbs on carpet. Had to keep it like that for another whole day - not impressed! It only needed a quick vacuum.

Good size room, good view of lake from our room (#817), clean & tidy, nicely decorated and well maintained. Nice deep spa bath and big tv in room. Looks like some rooms have been and some are under renovation which is good to see.

Room wasn’t ready for our check-in time due to staff shortage so they reduced the price which was good in the end. Somewhat steep exposed staircase to first floor rooms, not a problem for me but my wife has limited mobility.
