Great location, pictures true to reality.

The price compared to other properties was perhaps a bit high. No major issues

The property is right across the lake, and Franklyn and Kavita are the perfect hosts. We booked a one bedroom suite with a private hot pool. The suite comes with a living room that has a sofa that converts into a bed, a separate bedroom with a double bed, and a covered courtyard behind the bedroom that has the hot tub. The small kitchenette is helpful to whip up a quick meal or do some basic cooking. The bathroom is quite spacious and very modern. With plenty of parking, this is one of the best places to stay in Taupo. Nearly all of the rooms have a view of the lake. Both Kavita and Franklyn are passionate about hosting people, and it was great to have long conversations with them. I can't wait to be back again, albeit for a longer time.

Staff were friendly and helpful as I had a child who became sick. Loved the view out to the lake. Great having the chairs and table on the porch and the picnic tables near road too. Good sized rooms.

The hot pool was either too hot or too cold. We never quite got the right temperature for me and my son to be able to be in the hot pool together. Minor thing but the microwave was not working and had to be moved up to the bench to be able to use it.

Great spa pool, good amenities and lovely little touches like wifes homemade cookies. Backed with everything you need for a good stay - for our family we really should have upgraded to the family suites - but they didnt come with a spa pool in the room so we opted here. It worked fine with the couch for the kids, but if you want space and luxury then upgrade.

No EV charger (which is a big thing for us as we travel) there was one down the road and a fast one, but ive got used to just charging up at night. We only got two sets of towels even though we had four booked into the room but the hotel staff were soo accommodating and got us two easily after we asked no worries. Our second time here and we will be back because we really do like this hotel.

Great spot immediately over the road from Lake Taupo. Room was very comfortable and the spa was a bonus. Staff were very welcoming and their homemade shortbread were a delight. They had arrangements for several restaurants - one of which gave us 20% discount on our meal and wine.

Bed was a little too firm for me, but my wife found it fine, so I suppose that you can't please everyone

The reception lady was so nice, she walked us to our room and showed us around. I've never had that anywhere before, that and tha home made baked cookies put a lovely personal touch to our visit.

I wouldn't be put of by either of these as they are my personal opinion. The bed was a bit soft for me and the hot tub was too hot. Neither of these issues would put me off booking again though.

Brilliant location .. comfy, clean modern motel room ..separate quiet bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Stunning views of the mountains and lake, stylish well equipped kitchen and bathroom with all the accessories you need. The luxury of a sparkling clean private hot pool. This motel exceeded our expectations both in quality and price. Such a wonderful affordable stay without any compromise.

Property is located on the lakefront not far from Taupo town centre - making it easy to explore on foot and enjoy the views, lake and nature surrounding it. We made a last minute booking but the owners were very prompt at checking us in. Lovely family run business with customer service at heart. Room/unit was very clean, comfortable and modern. Would return again in future - thanks Franky and Kavita.

minor nagging point, the charging sockets were not conveniently located to charge devices in the main living room. Otherwise a great stay.

Staff were so pleasant to deal with. The room was tidy and was daily serviced to high expectations. Location is great, straight across from the lake and so close the to city centre. Plus there’s a really good coffee cart across the road.

The shower as the head was a bit broken (where the water sprays out) so was the side slider. The heat pump was hard to use as the roofs were high and only had an on and off setting. Both bearable though

Location was great, the 3 bedroom we had was super cozy and nice and clean. The homemade cookies was a welcome touch you rarely see anymore. Staff we very nice friendly and helpful.

Only thing that would make it better would be if it had air-conditioning. The fans provided in the rooms were good for the night thou.
