Lake Wanaka Lodge is well kept and well maintained, nice and quiet, with spacious rooms and a very kind and friendly host. The drying room for our ski gear was the best we have ever experienced. The location is perfect. And the price was perfect for us on our budget.

One of the single beds was found to be uncomfortable and the pillows were not so good either. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelt foul with old cigarette smoke which disappeared after about 3 days. This is hardly the fault of the establishment, but was not nice for us.

Wonderful location, a very short walk from everything but also tucked out of the way so quiet and serene with stunning views. The building is cosy and well kept, the decor is not super up-to-date but it has a nice vibe nonetheless and grounds are lovely with easy parking access. Staff are freindly and super helpful.

If I had to pick one thing. The TV in the room was a bit on the small side, but honestly if you are in Wanaka watching tv in your room you are doing it wrong.

This was my second time staying at Lake Wanaka Lodge. It's always a pleasure to return to this wonderfully managed lodge. The rooms are very comfortable and have plenty of room for my ski gear in winter. The staff are super friendly and enjoyable to chat with. It's location is a short 5 minute walk to the food truck market down the road and the town center. As always, I can't wait for my next visit to Lake Wanaka Lodge!

it was well back from the road and main part of town, which was so quiet, while still being an easy walk to the centre. Free wifi, nice artwork on the wall. the receptionist was friendly. the rooms were clean and overall had a nice vibe. we had a room on the left side (the side of the spa in the main photo of the outside), which when in bed had a lovely outlook of the trees on the bank making it feel very private, and in this regard one of the nicest views we’ve had. It also had the benefit of not having afternoon/evening sun on this side, which was a bonus and you can read why on what we didn’t like….

being on the eastern side had no afternoon sun, this wasn’t a problem though as it was hot and humid and there is no air conditioning in the room. we did open the sliding door to the standing room only balcony which had a see through curtain to let airflow in and keep flies out. other down side was it has the smallest TV, and no sky or Netflix capabilities. even so, highly rate this place as it was a good night stay for how quiet it was!

Place was quiet and peaceful most of the time, good size bed, clean room and facilities, very nice lounges and pretty close to town, only 5 to 10 minutes walking.

Staff was non communicative, never told about the availability of a kitchen or other facilities for which I wasn't able to cook breakfast, dinner and lunch as much as I would have liked.

The staff were very helpful/proactive by closing our room windows & curtains, and running the fan in our room for our arrival on a 30 degree day. All the standard amenities for the room were provided, with parking available directly in front of the accommodation.

The room does not have built in air conditioning so a fan is used for cooling instead. The WiFi was very weak frequently, especially in peak hours of usage. However both issues seem to be common with most accommodation in a similar price range so it was not surprising.

The owner was helpful and always friendly. The room was comfortable and had a lovely view of a snow topped mountain from the balcony. It was less than 10 minutes to walk to the centre of town and the lake. Wanaka is a beautiful town, and I hope to return.

Met most basic needs and expectations. Washing machine and dryer available. Our upstairs room had an excellent view of mountains and lakes

There was a lack of kitchenette fittings I.e. toaster. There was an excessive noise from next door bathroom including toilet cistern, shower refilling and shower door closures.

Down a narrow driveway. Parking available outside the place. Heaps of leisure/relaxing space outside your room. Quiet with comfy bed. Hot shower. 10-15min walk into Wanaka township for heaps of dinner options.

The bathroom is a little dated. They have kept the facilities nice however. No elevator seen to get up to second floor. But I didn’t look very hard for one.

Friendly welcome when we arrived, Comfortable room with a little balcony but not enough room to sit out on it, only stand. It was very hot whilst we were there and there is not air conditioning but we were provided with a fan which helped a bit. We liked the communal lounge and balcony idea and there was a large number of board games available to play if you wanted to.

Nothing just would have preferred a more central location.
