Great size apartment with a kitchen that suited us well. Easy instructions to get in and communication throughout was brilliant. Bed was super comfy and it was great having a lounge in our room. We stayed in room J. Good size balcony but the weather was not great so we didn’t use it. Water pressure was terrific and shampoos etc supplied. There’s a little coffee area outside in the hallway for guests which was a nice touch. Also extra toilet paper if needed. The office is at the end of the hall and they were super customer focused……even organised transport for us. Super stay and highly recommend.

This is now my default place to stay when visiting Wellington. The location is very central near the waterfront - ideal for tourism but a bit distant from the Beehive ecosystem if you're there on business - but it's a nice walk if the weather is OK. My "room" was a proper one-bedroom apartment with all amenities and a nice balcony. Everything worked and the bed was comfortable. You may complete a visit without ever seeing a member of staff but they are highly efficient. Big shout-out to the duty manager, who phoned to tell me I'd left a precious personal valuable behind when I checked out and did so quickly enough for me to pick it up before I left Wellington. Highly recommended.

No complaints at all, although the check-in procedure after 4pm involves multiple codes and steps which can feel a bit Mission Impossible if you're tired and in a hurry.

Great location, we went to a concert at the Michael Fowler Centre - easy walk We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, good size balcony and a city view, also has a view of the harbour reflecting off the building opposite. Comfortable beds and furniture Parking available over the road, we could see our car from the apartment and watched the car park being monitored by security service. Good communication I left something behind and was contacted quickly but I had already left the city-had to arrange posting back Great option to have pets stay as well

Vents needed cleaning Wear and tear evident Shower is tiny, for the size of the room Heater in bathroom didn’t work Frosted sticker over bathroom window had a biggish hole in it- effecting the privacy, as it looks onto the balcony.

The apartment was lovely and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to have such a spacious bathroom as well, and the addition of a 'shower bomb' was a nice touch. Brilliant to have a patio to sit outside, and the view was unimportant to us. We had everything we needed for one night (or a longer stay), and we were impressed to see there was even a clothes washer/dryer in the kitchen. All in a great location, and in handy walking distance to shopping, attractions, restaurants and bars. Also very quiet overnight. We parked across the road, and that was convenient and absolutely fine. I left a coat in the wardrobe and received a call from the lovely hotel manager shortly after we left. I found the booking process "quite a lot" compared to anywhere else I have stayed. I feel that was mainly because we booked through Booking.com rather than direct with the property. So a lot of receiving the same emails multiple times, and again in the Booking.com app, etc. But got there in the end. Once received, the check-in process was easy and the instructions were clear, including parking across the road.

Its location was really good. The space in the room and the overall level of the accommodation was really good.

The hotel operates on a wholly contactless booking in system which only works if u have good connectivity. Unfortunately I suffered significant connectivity issues since arriving in New Zealand despite my best efforts to get everything arranged before I arrived in the country. I tried to send an email with a copy of my passport and only on the fourth attempt did they finally receive it. When I arrived my iphone completely lost the contactless booking in email ( it was no longer in my inbox my junk box or my deleted items) and as I arrived after close of business I had difficulty getting into my room which was very stressful.

Friendly staff, really easy to follow instructions for access and for reserved parking were provided. We appreciated the daily servicing of the apartment. The location was perfect for our stay.

We felt the furniture was looking a little tired in the two bedroom unit we had, especially the fabric chairs could do with a shampoo/clean. The divider stacking doors between the lounge and bedroom had been repaired with tape and looked a bit tacky and were not easy to use. In the kitchen area the ill-fitting refrigerator door in relation to the cavity space it was placed in meant the door was not easy to shut and had to be firmly pushed to stay shut. Also having to lift a heavy 4 slice toaster from the cupboard above the fridge was a little hazardous and we suggest placing this in a lower height cupboard.

The room (a studio apartment more than spacious enough for 2 people and all their travelling gear) was spotless, comfortable and as central as it's possible to get. Decent-sized icy-cold fridge, a basic but functional kitchenette - I wouldn't like to cook here for a week but sufficient for snack prep and breakfasts. Good balcony area which is actually usable for sitting out of an evening and not just a shelf on the side of the building.

The check-in process involves no contact with actual people and has a faintly Mission Impossible feel to it. Having said that, by following the instructions to the letter I got into my apartment with no difficulty.

Location was the best! I walked everywhere around Welly or caught local buses. I paid more for this room because of the corner balcony which had a harbour view - brilliant! This hotel and this room in particular, will be my choice of accommodation for all my future stays in Welly.

Hot water system took ages to heat up for the shower, but at least this was made clear by a note in the bathroom. The toilet seat came loose and the shower gel containers in the shower came loose from the wall, but these were minor issues for me.

I enjoyed the big warm comfortable queen size bed which is better than single bed I have at home. You provided everything I could possibly need with a touch of luxury in my room minus the food. I enjoyed the luxury of internet television 📺 in the room which I have never seen before and makes me want to get one of my own. There is a short walking distance to New World Supermarket, Restaurants and Takeaways for the hungry traveler. I like your good security with no tolerance for noisy guests. I am excited about staying at U Residence Hotel again.

I did not know what you provided in the drawers until approaching the end of the stay. It would be helpful if the drawers were labeled with the contents inside. I did not know you provided free internet till the the final day of my 3 day stay. When you E-mailed me of how to get my room key 🗝, it would have been a good idea if you mentioned where to find the code to login to use the Wifi in my room.

Location. Extremely nice staff. Cleanliness. Secure. Comfort. I would stay here again. Nice touches with hallway refills of coffee sachets etc. 1 bedroom unit was spacious, warm, Netflix available. Such lovely helpful friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Patio. Showers great. Wash machine and dryer great. Drink sachets, hot chocolate and plunger coffèe delicious. Made for a lovely visit to Wellington.

Parking not available unless willing to pay $35 a day at uncovered insecure parking lot across the road.. Kitchen equipment minimal. Coffee plunger needs replacing. No egg cups. Toilet did not flush enough, always paper left in the loo.
