location was great. rooms were comfy and big. beds were comfy. food was great. the rooms were clean. staff very pleasant and helpful. i have a disability. The staff were very accommodating helping us with our baggage and helped me to my table with my breakfast. There is also gluten free options and dairy free options which made me very happy as i had lots to have at breakfast. my hubby the coffee lover had as many coffees. we stayed one night on our way to travel the south and because we liked it so much. we cancelled our return hotel and rebooked this hotel.

the rooms are a bit tired and could do with a refresh.

Not fancy but for not much more than you pay for a hostel, we got a spacious, sunny and spotlessly clean room with a view, ensuite bathroom with an actual bath (shower over), fast wifi, and a delicious and massive cooked breakfast + juice/real coffee included in our room rate. Good location on edge of the CBD - quiet but just 5 mins walk to Cuba Street shops and restaurants, and easy walk to Te Papa, Lambton Quay, and the waterfront. Handy to the airport - $40 taxi ride off-peak. Bonus points for friendly professional staff and pleasant reception foyer. The on-site parking above-ground is a bonus too. On our last day, we were able to store our suitcases in the hotel's locked room after checkout and before we caught our train.

The carpet in our room had seen better days but no big deal :)

Staff throughout the premises were all welcoming and helpful. Reception gave a very high level of service and assisted me to solve a problem I had while staying. Much appreciated, as was the really good sleep on the second night. Breakfast is excellent, great variety of Continental and cooked, plenty of dietary options available and very clear allergen labelling. Overnight parking right by the hotel (make sure to book ahead), at a very reasonable price. 20 minute walk gets you to waterfront, Te Papa etc, lots of cafes, bars, restaurants closer.

The lounge area is a fantastic area to meet with clients or catch up! Breakfast was really good with a great number of options. Room was tidy and clean and just what I needed for a night's stay, also being able to leave my bags at the hotel while I was at conference was amazing, I would def stay again as for the price this hotel had everything I needed. Also, the staff were so great at their jobs, honestly the BEST customer service!

The water pressure, but I know this just depends on the type of mains pressure available, I don't really have any improvements as such, I had a very comfortable stay.

Staff was very accommodating and opened the fitness room for me a little early. The location is close to Cuba Street and to the Wellington Cable Car. The breakfast was good with a good selection, but no fresh fruit.

Very limited parking. Hotel was sold out of parking, which is an additional $20 per night, when we arrived. Luckily just a few blocks away there is parking which was free from 6 pm to 8 am. Expect some street noise on lower floors especially when windows need to be open as there is no air conditioning.

I liked having a lovely conversation with the night manager early hours of the morning, he was very friendly and had a beautiful smile

I didn't like the fact that when I had a shower I nearly slipped, I informed Memory at the front desk about this and asked why there was not a slip mat in the bath. Apparently I'm the only person out of at least a hundred guests that have asked that question. I told her that it was a health and safety issue. She was going to let the right people know. I left my email address for feedback from her or them.

Unpretentious hotel, value for money, great breakfast, clean rooms and basic facilities. Used the laundry which was a good facility to have.

Location means our room was incredibly noisy with traffic noise, but the other room in our party was far quieter (away from the offending intersection and on the other side of the building). Night 1 was tricky due to the noise, but we bought earplugs which made night 2 and 3 no problem at all.

Bed was excellent and room and bathroom had everything needed The continental and cooked breakfast (included in the room rate) was also excellent (keep a damp cloth over the sliced bread to stop it drying out) Parking is very easily accessed and convenient

The windows weren't easily opened and I had to jamb a magazine into the only 1 that would open, to keep it open a crack. The Roman blinds dont sit back against the window and as a result there is a large gap at their edge that reduces privacy into the room (especially at night when the light is on) The decor is a bit dated but overall acceptable

Excellent location, breakfast is included and its great! Friendly staff. Good price. Even though the rooms are getting a bit tired and the traffic noise is horrendous (small town people here!) we are happy with the accommodation.

The rooms are getting a bit run down. Could do with a fan in the room during summer. Even in a corner room it's hard to get a decent breeze through, whilst competing with the road noise...

Comfortable and clean rooms. Amazing buffet breakfast that catered well to gluten free needs. Friendly staff that we happy to help and a perfect location close to town. Looking forward to being able to visit again.

Some rooms didn't have full sets of shampoo etc, and a triple room only had 2 spoons for the 3 cups for hot drinks. One room also didn't have a full information pack but as we had multiple rooms it wasn't too big of an issue.
