Booked 3 bedroom for 8 person (including 1 child) for 2 nights with 3 rooms TOTAL COST: $846.52 Staff allowed us to check in 30 minutes early (1:30pm) than the usual Check in time which is 2:00 pm. You can ask for extra key cards. Some hotels would ask for the ID of each guest but they did not check ours. Only the main guest was asked for ID. Room 1: Standard Twin Room without Air Conditioning TWIN BEDROOM - The room is clean. - It smells good. - Available towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and - body soap dispenser. - Hair Dryer and clothes iron - Mini fridge and TV - Free Wifi and Netflix - Two Double Bed - With Heater and aircon Room 2: Standard Twin Room without Air Conditioning Room 3: Standard Queen Room without Air Conditioning

Hotel took the physical credit card to records the card details for incidentals and at the same time there was a form of agreement to be signed off when we checked in the hotel authorizing the hotel to deduct a certain cost for any incidentals. The Waterfront or Oriental Bay is 15 minutes walk from the hotel. 10 minutes walk from Cuba Street (shopping and food area) and 13 minutes walf from Cable Car. The hotel is along the Willis Street for any shopping purposes.

Clean & comfy, 2 spare blankets, everything we needed, i read the reviews here and they didn't look good, but happy we still stayed good value for $ our room wasn't worn or tired like reviews said, didn't look outdated, had no disturbances, helpful staff, bottle store 3 minute walk, breakfast was yum, bacon, sausage, baked beans, hash brown, scrabled eggs mushrooms, variety of cereals fresh/tinned fruit yogurt, variety of juices and coffee, dont listen to all the fuss pots moaning on the reviews here, they should of stayed at a 5 star accommodation, had a great stay here

Just abit noisy outside sometimes as to be expected it is located in the cbd. Nothing outrageous, cant hear people in the next rooms as some of the reviews here have said that was bullocks

It was a lovely room suited for a couple except it didn't hv a kitchen area eg a sink with tap to fill kettle was weird going to bathroom filling up the kettle with tap water. I guess it was worth the amount of money for one night. Enjoyed our stay there eventhough it was for a brief amount of time as we were late checking in. But other than that enjoyed being out in Wellington for a change to celebrate my hubbys belated birthday that was in July as he was in Australia visiting his Family.

Walking inside our room to hear sound coming from a door that didn't hv a sign to possibly say do not enter or open as its another room. So it was a bit weird heading into room and that we could hear ppl and the TV going on through the door.

Location was great, close to Te Papa and Botanical Gardens. Room was clean and tidy and we got it on a special price deal so was value for money. Room was a good size. Wifi available Good hot shower Surrounded by restaurants so spoilt for choice

No sheer curtains, despite having a track for them and advertising showing them, only drapes so because of privacy and sun glare had to leave the drapes closed during day. It was noisy at times with road traffic, sirens and people talking as they walked by heard very clearly from 3rd floor. Very limited kitchen supplies available.

The location was convenient for the city centre and waterfront with bus routes close by and only a short walk downhill to the cable car, but still fairly quiet. The Staten Eatery provided a substantial breakfast with plenty of choices and an excellent dinner menu - pity it was closed on Sat/Sun evenings. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially when a taxi was required. Lovely comfy bed, and the convenience store next door was handy!

The lack of a power point in the bathroom for the hairdryer (shavers only) and no mirror in the bedroom made it awkward to style hair after washing it. I was also very wary of the raised edge on 2 sides of the shower, appprox 10cm high and tiled white like the floor - with no frame or rigid walls to enclose the space, it was easy to forget it was there and stub a toe! An accident waiting to happen perhaps?

Perfect location. Handy to everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Lovely helpful staff. Our flight was delayed 24hours and the reception staff were very accommodating and understanding.

A hairdryer was provided, however as there wasn't a wall socket in the bathroom, or a mirror near a wall socket in the living area,, the dryer wasn't much use. The walls are quite thin, so the guests in the room next door sounded like mice scratching around in the walls (I assume they were plugging and unplugging things from the wall) and we could hear their conversations.

I stay at the Mercure as I can walk from there to most places I want to go, or to the bus stop. It is reasonably priced, not flash, you get what you pay for. The room was clean, bed comfy and shower good.

We had to ask for teaspoons, there was only mugs and wine glasses, no cutlery or crockery at all. The toilet didn't flush very well.

The room was lovely and big, was nice to be able to open windows, Personally I don't like mirrors facing the bed however understand this is difficult with hotel rooms. We requested interconnecting rooms, was told you don't do this any longer, was disappointed to find one of the rooms we had had an interconnection door and this was possible. It makes life much easier when you have children and we had a spare bed in our room which we were going to use for one of the children, these rooms were not even on the same floor so was not able to utilise the bed.

I didn't like that we asked for all rooms to be on the same floor and for an interconnecting room. see above comments. was a bit confused about booking the car into the Wilsons Car park., thought we had to pay in the car park not with the hotel so ended up with a ticket for not being out by 8am.

Was a great location with access to everything. The variety of choices for breakfast was good we enjoyed it. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy,

the only downside was that not working in the bathroom, so all the smells and fog were staying there. Unfortunately, there were not available rooms for three people to move, but they offered complimentary parking instead. Otherwise it was a great place to stay

I booked for family members who arrived early for a funeral and they accommodated them by allowing them.to check in early which we really appreciated. It was just for 1 night and the check in and check out was very easy. It's very central so easy to walk everywhere, no need for a car.

My mother said she didn't like the bed as it was a biy hard for her but the rest of us didn't mind them at all.
