Location and view was excellent. Was initially given apartment with no view despite booking and discussed with front desk who then switched us over. Make sure it’s documented clearly if not booking directly with hotel re: apartment w view! They initially didn’t honor it and luckily switched after check in!

Excellent location near to the Ferry Terminal and Fish Market. A wonderful choice for breakfast - I am on a low carb diet and there were plenty of choices nuts, fruit yoghurt cheese ham salami smoked salmon, salad as well as a cooked breakfast if you wanted.. We had a Junior apartment with harbour view which was amazing. We also had a fridge which was really useful for keeping milk, cheese and cold meat. Most supermarkets have a salad bar so on some days we had a salad lunch. The fish market is a great place to eat. Free tea and coffee is available all day in the foyer. The standard lamp in our room didn't work and was switched the same day. Room was cleaned daily.

Would rather have had a kettle than a coffee maker in the room.

The staff member that greeted us at the hotel around the corner was quite rude and very unhelpful. We arrived a couple of hours early and asked if we could leave our luggage until check in later (which is pretty standard at hotels around the world). She just said no. She said our apartment was ready, but we would have to pay a fee to get our keys early. When we asked for a map and directions and she was very unclear and said “it’s just up the road”.

The top things to highlight are the location, the view and the staff. If you arrive by train and wish to explore Bergen on foot, the location of this hotel is hard to beat; it is smack in the center, by the waterline, close to everything. And if you are lucky enough to get a room facing the waterline and city center, the view is unbeatable - absolutely fantastic, making spending time in the room on the window-side bench an experience to remember. Moreover, I must commend the staff: we noticed on arrival that the slatted bed frame/base was broken - it took the receptionist less than 5 minutes after reporting the issue to single-handedly bring in a new bed base and replace it - excellent service! The room otherwise looked clean. The breakfast was also good with many choices (also vegan), served in a spacious dining room overlooking the waterline and city.

The windows do not open, making you dependable on the ventilation system. However, the ventilation system was very loud (almost like somebody would be vacuuming or using the hairdryer in the next room all the time), even if the fan speed was turned down to minimum. It was also somewhat inefficient, as the room was a bit stuffy and humid (water condensation on the inner side of the windows). I would have loved to be able to simply open the windows briefly.

Stylish hotel. Superb breakfast. Excellent location short walk from central station and immediately opposite the famous fish market.

One elevator not work so everyone including service staff using one small elevator. Rooms stylish but do not have a kettle to make a drink.

I recently stayed for two nights at Magic Hotel and Apartments Kloverhuset, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is absolutely perfect, offering easy access to everything I needed while also providing a stunning view from the room. Honestly, the view was so beautiful that I didn’t want to close the curtains! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep after a busy day. Breakfast was decent, offering a good variety, though nothing extraordinary. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it for its perfect location, beautiful views, and comfortable amenities.

OMG! Where do I start? Due to a flight delay and missed connection, we got to the property in the evening. We had communicated with Matilde as we were given new information. Upon arrival, a wonderful young man named Jonas informed us they upgraded our room because they sympathized with our situation. That alone would rate a five star rating, but it doesn’t stop there. Room is exceptionally clean, comfortable. The breakfast? Exceeded any and all expectations of properties that ‘include breakfast.’ Staff in that area? They were phenomenal and go above and beyond every day. Location is as good as a Bergen visitor could ask for. You are literally at the jumping off point to just about anything. Which brings me to the best part about this property; their AMAZING STAFF! All the concierges were insanely friendly, helpful, made great suggestions and offered many options on a variety of things. I cannot stress their kindness enough. A heartfelt thank you to all of them.

Rare but cannot really say anything negative about this property. You can tell it’s run well, staffed well and their prices are more than fair. What else can I say?

The location is wonderful. Right in the heart of the centre of Bergen and within walking distance of all that this beautiful city has to offer. In addition, our room had a stunning view over the city, the sea and up to the mountain. We absolutely loved it. The hotel is modern, clean and attractive.

The breakfast was extremely disappointing. The food that should have been hot was either barely warm or stone cold. The baked beans, for example, tasted as though they were straight from the refrigerator. Likewise the fried eggs and tomatoes. This was the case on all three days we were there. Regardless of whether we arrived at the start or the end of the breakfast period. It really was awful, I’m sorry to say.

The bed was very comfortable with four decent pillows provided for a double bed. There was plenty of space to store luggage and hang clothes. The room was a good temperature and curtains were adequate to block out the light for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and modern. It was fairly quiet on the Sunday and Monday nights that I stayed; I wasn't disturbed by any noise outside or inside the hotel. The breakfast had a decent range of options for whatever you feel like. Free tea and coffee in the lobby was appreciated (although I would have liked to see decaff coffee as an extra option and perhaps some non-disposable cups to reduce waste).

At times the hotel seemed a bit understaffed as there was nobody on the front desk when I arrived and I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to attend to check me in; other guests also showed up looking for staff during this time (it wasn't the middle of the night). The staff were friendly enough but seemed a bit less attentive than in other hotels, perhaps because they were too few. In the room, the fan in the aircon system was a little loud but it didn't seem to respond when I tried altering settings on the control panel to turn it down/off, and I couldn't find any instructions for this. It did eventually turn off on its own. On the whole any issues were minor and I felt I got a good deal on my stay.

Magic Hotel and Apartments Kloverhuset is situated very conveniently in the city and have a wonderful view of the harbour, overlooking moutains and the UNESCO harbour and residences up on the mountain. It is a very beautiful and peaceful sight, seeing many people walking across and around the harbour and restaurants. It is also near to many eateries, shopping belt. Great location! We get to see the effect of the sunrise and sunset on. the UNESCO sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is reasonably size, we were able to open up two 30" luggages and still have walking space in the room. There was a coffee machine in the room, however cannot boil water with it. There was also a fridge in the room. We have a very lovely room. The breakfast spread was good and have a nice simple spread. There was hot and cold water, coffee and tea bags at the lobby for guest to consume or to bring back to their room.

There was no facial tissue box in the toilet, no door bell. No kettle to boil hot water. The room was not very brightly lighted because the standing lamp was not working, but then I did not inform the front desk. The bathroom and toilet is elevated and have to take a rather high step to go to the bathroom and toilet. May not be good for people who have knee issue.
