The location is flawless - less than 150 feet from the harbor area for ferries and restaurants. This makes the Verdandi a perfect choice if you want to bi in the middle of things. The hotel is clean and the room was well-maintained.

There is no real on-site staff, so getting extra towels or toilet paper was difficult if you don't catch someone while they're cleaning rooms. We had no tepot in the room, although I think one was advertised, and a guy from the restaurant downstairs rustled one up, although no cups or utensils. We had to go buy our own mugs and coffee stuff to have it in the room. Also, while the windows were awesome, letting in lots of light and air, there is a bar right across the street that caters to college students. It is open until 3am with music and laughter bouncing off the walls and out the doors. Even with the windows closed we could hear the "thump thump" of the DJ all night long.

Location is great! Real coty center close to everything walking distance!

I would prefer a daily rom cleaning service with new sheets and towels was not explained in the process of booking

Rooms are very small. The staff at the reception were very unprofessional. I am working for almost a decade in hospitality industry and not knowing terms of booking is unacceptable. On booking.com our room is described with breakfast included, that is one of the reason why I purchased it. When we arrived at the breakfast, we were met with receptionist telling us we didn’t pay for breakfast. Even after seeing my booking confirmation that clearly confirms my claims, she insisted on her point being unprofessional and even calling me rude for asking her for explanation. I believe that this hotel doesn’t need false advertising tactics, it’s just a breakfast, please state the price without any confusion. And educate and train your staff.

Hotel Verdandi boasts the perfect location, situated right in the city center and conveniently close to the train station—ideal for exploring the area or catching connections. The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good start to the day. The bed was functional but not particularly comfortable, which may affect your rest if you're a light sleeper. On the positive side, the automated check-in system worked flawlessly, making arrival hassle-free. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, the hotel's location and convenience make it a good option for short stays.

However, the room service could use improvement; it would be appreciated if the rooms were cleaned at least every second day, or at least the trash should be removed. Unfortunately, the check-out process presented challenges (the device did not work). This can be especially problematic if you require an early departure.

Great location, exceedingly clean and good facilities. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we like to go out and explore and find local bakeries but, the buffet did look good. There is a bar/lounge on site which also looked great. The hotel was very close to the train station (National Theatre) and tram lines. When we were there, the Christmas markets were a 1 minute walk away and, the the waterfront was 1 minute in the opposite direction. It felt like we had everything on our doorstep. Check in was electronic, so we didn't really interact with any staff.

The room could have been a little warmer but there was a separate heater in there

The location of the property is absolutely brilliant, the national theatre metro station is a 5 minute walk and everything else is so near eg royal palace, parliament & christmas markets! Self check in was so easy and was very good and practical for us! We had a very nice stay!

The beds were slightly small and felt a little bit cramped and the mattresses were a little bit hard but that is just personal preference at the end of the day. Luggage storage was a little bit complicated, the reception desk is not always occupied and we had to walk around the hotel to find someone to open the luggage storage when we wanted to collect our luggage as we couldn’t get a response on booking . com all sorted in the end but a better system could be implemented.

the Verdandi Hotel had the most amazing location, right down the street from the christmas markets with lights and ice skating. the room itself was quite small but for booking a small room, that’s expected. the shower and bathroom size was great! and the hotel is quite quiet! i once again can’t express how amazing this hotel’s location is

the rooms are quite small but what can you expect when booking a small room. the price is quite expensive but i think oslo (and norway) is just like that anyhow. the staff weren’t exactly welcoming but did the job.

The hotel is in an excellent location - walking distance from many main attractions, and transport links nearby for things further out of the city centre. Check in and check out was very simple with self-service machines. Staff were friendly and gave us extra towels on request. The free Wi-Fi worked well. Having sockets right next to the bed was very handy. Excellent value for money.

The shower floor flooded easily - we had to put a couple of towels down to prevent the floor from being soaked. The Scandi style of blankets (2 separate single blankets per bed) is nice for solo travellers/friends, but a little awkward for couples. Our window directly faced an office block, so we had to have the curtains almost always shut. The nightstands were very small, with not enough room for all your personals by your bed.

Very good location in the city with everything in walking distance. Near trams as well. Smooth selfcheck in and checkout. Bar and lounge downstairs. Room was nice besides the small bed size and too soft. Quiet stay. Walls are thin as with all budget hotels, but neighbours were respectful. Shelves to store clothes. Hairdryer. Towels can be changed when needed by leaving sign on door. Its good for a night or two if you can manage with a bed that is not so comfortable.

I am a very small person and the single bed was too small to sleep comfortably, I cant imagine what a larger person must feel like. The beds and pillows are very/too soft and led to back and neck pain on my 3rd night. The curtains had just enough length to fit the window meaning light gets through, making it hard to sleep in summer. Also tea/coffee tray in the room would be nice but was not available.

We had an issue with the ac our 2nd night. We weren't offered any options even though called down twice during the night. The room was too uncomfortable to sleep and windows didn't open. Annoyed that when I said something again n the morning they acted like this was a big surprise when many others were knowingly affected as well. Was also asked later why I didn't switch rooms. Explained that there never was an offer to do so. The issue was resolved. Never asked for compensation and was never offered even though i heard them offering others free breakfast.
