Clean and well maintained with friendly staff

The internal rooms have a window that looks out to an internal garden that has lighting. This is okay during the day but at night it’s too bright as the blinds are not black out and the light was on all night. This won’t bother some but annoyed me. You won’t need to turn the light on if you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night it was that bright.

Almost everything..

1. No access for charging electric cart, do not want them on property, probably because of the stories of e-bikes catching fire. This was a cart with lead acid batteries just like a motorcycle or an automobile uses. My fiancé was allowed to leave it one night. 2. Just a pet peeve, this is a 3 star hotel, but the refuse to keep change in their till. Seems to be a common theme for some reason in the Philippines. You receive big denomination bills from ATM and then you have to get creative and go to 7-11 or somewhere for a drink to break the big bill….. the issues is trike drivers nor anyone else can make change for a 1000 peso note. So you get a ride but can’t pay, that’s embarrassing.

The breakfast service was very impressive. The menu changed on different days and was quite good. It is well worth the price you pay extra for the room. We hired a tour guide who took us around to see waterfalls, hot springs, museums and more. This hotel is a great place to start from and come back to. The Plaza is a short trike ride from the hotel. Definitely worth visiting again.

I was there while renovations were going on around the pool. That was unfortunate for us but understandable. The ride to the ferry terminal was too expensive...1000 pesos. That was the major detraction from the whole experience...paying to escape Duemagette.

The staff are all amazing. Warm, courteous and hospitable. From housekeeping, to lobby greeters, breakfast staff and even security. They will all greet you whenever they meet you. The large pool and buffet breakfast is also a plus! The lobby is quite big too.

During the time of my visit, the road has only one lane. But it’s okay. The Wifi most of the times don’t work on Android phones, but Apple gadgets works very fine.

The staff here at The Sierra was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Dumaguete. From as you walk in with the security staff, to everyone inside. Such wonderful staff who provide excellent customer service and some are multi-talented (one plays an awesome saxophone). The pool was nice too.

I wish the pool was open a little later than 7pm :) We did have an issue with the credit card machine,(what was awesome though, was the staff saw us stressing and was kind enough to bring us ice water as we resolved our issue. The shuttle the staff had ready to take us to the airport had to bring us to a close by exchange so we could pay our balance with cash)

Breakfast was great with a great variety of food to choose from. The room was spacious and so as the closet. Staff were helpful and welcomed us with cold drinks!

We were expecting that we can check in right away when we arrived past 3 o'clock in the afternoon of our check in date but the rooms (I booked 3 rooms) were not ready yet, which is a bit off for us since we have a toddler who has been wanting to go to the room already.

The location: Ceres bus from Bacolod dropped us off, about 5 minutes walk to the hotel. About 10-15 mins walk to the City Mall, Mc Donald's etc. About 5 minutes ride by tricycle, 15pesos fate per pax. The staff: warm, welcoming, caring. The bed, comfortable. Filipino buffet breakfast has many choices.

The location of the hotel was very convienient being about halfway between the airport and my work for the period. the room was very quiet as we requested. the breakfast that was included in the price was good, will excellentt choices

Our room had some univited guests in the form of ants in the bathroom and also they appeared to live in the cable TV box. As our flight arrived early we asked if the hotel could store our bags, which they did. When we finally checked in the porter bought the wrong bags to our room. he went away and delivered the correct bags but we didnt realise he had left an extra small bag. later he came looking for that bag and made accusations that we had actaully attempted to steal that bag.

I like about it is the location, where it is close to everything. This is my second time in this hotel. The breakfast lounge was great with amazing pool view. The staff are quick to response if we needed something.

The room we had was close to the back hallway I guess. The light on the hallway was always on,and at night it was way too bright though it was blocked with curtains.

Staff and Facility are VERY NICE.

I had submitted my reservation through BOOKING.COM and they had not paid for my stay at Sierra Hotel so I was present with a bill when checking out. It was not Sierra Staff fault, but from this date forward I no longer trust Booking.Com
