Right at the heart of Makati’s commercial district, the hotel’s location means the entirety of Ayala Center and its hundreds of establishments are within walking distance, rain or shine, which makes shopping and dining unbelievably convenient. Proximity to the airport is another major plus if you’re an international traveler.

The building is showing its age, especially post-pandemic. The first room we were given had a malfunctioning AC and a carpet that had a musty smell, but they quickly rectfied this by transferring us to another room that was almost perfect except for a touch of mold on the ceiling. Quarantine-era instructional stickers are also still affixed to various functional items—these should probably be removed since they are now unnecessary and impact the illusion of “home living” negatively. But these are minor issues that are mitigated by the hotel’s attractive pricing and superb value proposition.

The location is near perfect if you have to be in Ayala frequently and the buffet breakfast is one of the better ones we have tried in Makati. The staff is very kind and accommodating, though they can be a bit forgetful when it gets busier.

The room amenities are showing the age in a bad way, shower head old and not working great. The silicone in the bathroom is more brown than white due to lack of proper cleaning and the carpets in the room as well in the hallways are quite full of stains and sadly don’t give off the 5* that the hotel has when you look at it. The TV in our first room was crooked and signal kept lagging till they gave my and my family another room where it was better. We had issues with the menu and the food so I do hope they address and improve that. After two weeks of stay we keep asking ourselves if this property still is deserving of the 5* it is supposed to be. Maybe if they renovate the rooms and clean the carpets better, and hoping they will be more consistent with food quality.

The buffet breakfast was great with alot of delicious choices. The bed was very comfortable and good facilities for work is desk, lamp. The staff was the best - very polite and helpful, form the front desk to house keeping, the restaurant and kitchen. The chef (Chris) even made a soup for us with special ingredients at our request!

The spa was not open- I believe being renovated - so the massage I ordered had to be done on the bed, which is not the best for this purpose

The attitude of every single staff we interacted with is excellent! All our requests were properly and courteously attended to— front desk, housekeeping, roof deck. The lady (short pixie cut hair) who attended to us in Flavors during dinner is the perfect model for excellent customer service. We had to wait for our food for an hour and a half (not sure what’s wrong in the kitchen) but it’s quite impossible to get mad due to the way she handled us. She kept updating us and gave us free bread first then soup; nothing special about those freebies but the gesture, her manner and overall personality won us over. Thank you! Check out was special as well as they had us sit down instead of queue, then call us when it was our turn. Thank you! Left my iPhone charger and was able to retrieve it conveniently as they allowed via Lalamove rep. Thanks to the front desk staff and housekeeping.

Had to wait for an hour and a half for our ala carte dinner. The restaurant wasn’t even full. Should probably increase the number of their kitchen staff. Food is nothing special.

Location is the best as it is connected to Glorietta. Glorietta has more value options for eating than staying in BGC so I definitely enjoyed staying in the hotel. The room size is very big, it is as if it was not originally made to be a hotel room as there's a lot of blank spaces in the room. The room is well furnished and the bed is comfortable and big. The view from the hotel is good as well plus there is a roof deck which was good for the NYE festivities. I liked that there is a cafe open during NYE because Glorietta closed early and we didn't have a lot of options so having the Citron Cafe serving meals was really appreciated. Thank you Holiday Inn for a good start to our New Year 2023!

The breakfast could be better. The dishes didn't feel like a 5-star hotel breakfast but rather something from a cheaper Filipino buffet restaurant. We stayed for the New Year so the breakfast might have been catered for a bigger audience but I didn't really enjoy it. The elevators are very slow. It might not be an issue if it is not a holiday and there are not a lot of people waiting for it.

We have stayed here several times - great location; good hotel and fair value.

I think things are just a bit rusty following the pandemic - room not ready on arrival; room cleaning not always done on a timely basis; problem with AC.

The suite was spacious and the room facilities were great for the price and relative to other available hotels in the area. It's right in the Glorietta mall complex so it's easy to get around for a short staycation. Despite the hotel being visibly full (for Christmas Eve/Day), staff were attentive and helpful at all points. To my pleasant surprise, breakfast buffet was also included in the price even though the Booking.com listing implied it was extra.

Given that the hotel had perhaps an unusual number of guests due to the holiday, the hotel elevators were slow and often packed.

Very substantial and food was delicious. Coffee usually delivered later than desired. Choice of cuisine was excellent and food served varied.

Housekeeping could have done better. No complaints on friendliness but some areas like table tops were not cleaned properly. There was one night when the loud music from below? Was disturbing our sleep. We were on 6th floor - perhaps next time we could be offered a higher floor to avoid noise from downstairs.

Your breakfast choices in my comparison with other hotels is a bit limited. I tried it once and could not get myself to come back. Php1500 for a limited food selection seems to be a bit steep in my opinion. Housekeeping staff are a joy especially CJ on the 7th floor. He is always happy to help with a smile. Thank you! Price per night is quite expensive. I guess you need to offset pandemic losses.

The hotel’s location is excellent - all the big malls are within walking distance and major transport. The staff and customer service cannot be faulted. Everyone is gracious and willing to assist. As for the facilities and amenities, while the hotel is getting on with age, it is clean and serviceable.

The food in the hotel restaurant could be improved - either too bland or too salty for my taste.
