ONE ROOM APARTMENT HAS ONLY ONE TOILET INSIDE THE ROOM. GUESTS WILL HAVE TO COME INTO THE ROOM TO USE THE TOILET. THIS IS NOT GOOD

Proximity from the airport, shopping, very respectful staff, the suite of rooms within one unit and this time the breakfast spread. The breakfast has improved a lot. They tweaked the food spread by changing or adding a few dishes and made the whole spread fit together and complimentary to each other. My suggestion. I would lose the pudding but add a fish dish such as - bangus or salmon or another local fish from the Philippines.

I have been staying at Ascott every time I go home to the Philippines and would come to Manila. On this trip, the keycards were new but were not working properly in all the elevators so much so that I have to have all my cards re-programmed almost everyday during my 4-day stay. It was just cumbersome especially when you are carrying a lot or if you are in a hurry to go to your room and cards won’t work when you get to the elevator. Hopefully they resolve this issue soon.

Location superb! We stayed 14 days - Staff very high quality - from front of house, to restaurant, guards, back of house. Food was excellent - we dined there a lot! although breakfast less consistent during the peak Christmas/ NY holidays.

I stayed for 2 weeks, not once did Housekeeping pick up the phone when I rang them but Guest Relations always picked up and ensured every request/ reminder was attended to. Maybe remove the Housekeeping speed dial from the phones if it’s always unattended. I wish the 1-bedroom apartments had a 2nd toilet in the hall for guests.

The staff is the best. I have stayed at both BGC and here and although the BGC is more modern..the service here is a LOT better. Started with Check-in, Pearl was very helpful and efficient at her job. Made suggestions that we gladly followed and we were not disappointed. Breakfast spread and choices were excellent. Daily housekeeping is a plus! Fresh clean towels everyday and when i forgot unfolded laundry on my bed, she even folded it nicely! Wow, what service. Will come back here every time I am in Manila

The staff in the lobby were very polite and friendly. The room was clean and the location was great.

When my husband requested room service for food, they wanted us to pay asap. I accidentally brought the bag with our wallets in it out with my friends, so we wanted to charge it to the room. But it seems since I used a debit card to pay for the hotel, they don't allow this. We wanted to cancel the order or delay it until I got back. But they gave us some difficulties regarding that until they agreed. Then they kept calling to follow up. We paid them when I got back, but it felt very inconvenient and unsettling.

Very helpful staff all round. Fantastic location. The pool and exercise room were exceptional. Nice relaxed atmosphere and it was great to be able to order food outside by the pool.

The breakfast was mostly for the Asian guests. As a European guest, I could wish that there was a selection of yogurt, a slightly larger selection of fruit than mostly just melon and that there was fresh orange juice every morning - when it is a five-star hotel. otherwise it was very nice. The spa was so hot that it was almost never used.

Accessibility to a “T”, friendly and accomodating restaurant staff.

The AC’S needs improvement, very old and malfunctions. After rooms are checked out, your housekeeping leaves the AC at 16C or 65F. thus the room was at freezing point and despite efforts to adjust the thermostat it doesn’t work. Good thing, Engineering came past midnight to fix it. Refrigerators were cranked up to maximum, whilst empty, causing the motor to be very noisy. Friday night, we requested additional towels sent up, noone came up. The next 2 days, bed was made, sheets changed. However, no face towels, dirty dishes left by the bedside and bed trough still left (3rd day) on the dining area. 4 or 5 star hotel? Really??!!

Perfect location, walking distance to everything you need. Staff were so attentive and responsive, nurse on sight to assist with my daughters allergic reaction was invaluable. Breakfast buffet options were nice, a la carte food also not bad (a bit salty). Having a washer/ dryer is very helpful for families on long trips. Wifi worked well majority of the time.

Rooms are quite dated but maintained to an acceptable level. Bathroom was probably worst for me and definitely need some renovation work - dirty grout, broken toilet seat (sorted with a call to the guest service), shower curtain instead of screen (personal preference). Also, the whole stay only one elevator worked which can mean a bit of a wait at times. There were also a few roaches (dead and alive) in the kitchen/ washing machine area but I think this is really hard to avoid in Philippines - they are everywhere.
