Ravenala's is a unique form of luxury that exceeded all other locations during our visit. From Baggao to El Nido, Moalboal to Mactan, and finally Manila. The beach bungalows were the stand out across the archipelago. Private, personalized, very intimate and luxurious in a way that larger resorts could not match -- Believe me we tried. The only thing better than the private access to the white sand beach, exquisite meals, and watching the sunset over Negros island is Ms. Ravenala herself and her exquisite staff. Ravenala's will be top of our anniversary list for years to come.

Leaving was a heart breaking experience for us. We even extended our trip by a day and I wish we had extended it by much more.

Our family of 4 stayed at Ravenala for 7 nights. Set on a beautiful beach with amazing snorkelling 20 meters from the waters edge. We loved our comfortable beach bungalow set on a quiet part of the beach. The restaurant served excellent food and we were ten mins from the town by tricycle. Maria and her staff were amazing, really genuine and lovely people, nothing too much trouble. We organised our activities with Maria and everything was easy and well organised. Cannot recommend highly enough. Was a great place to end our month in the Phillipines!

Stay here for a local feel at a great value. My bungalow was literally on the beach and had a large patio, very good air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The location was fantastic. I would stay here again! The reef is just a short swim out and I saw several sea turtles and lots of beautiful fish. Maria booked a local boat for an hour or so of snorkeling at the property.

No fault of the property but the beach had a lot of trash. A short walk down the beach had less trash but the local guys employed to rake up the trash didn’t do a good job in front of the property. The air con was a bit loud but other than that, it was a great stay!

Incredible location with immediate access to white beach. Beautiful eco resort full of flowers and lush plants. Amazing food, restaurant in great central location with beach view. Lovely staff, would knock on door when dinner is ready on table after pre-ordering, made breakfast bags to take away when leaving early on trips. Staff able to help organise taxis / trips if needed. Ate every meal at the hotel as good so nice, other options further down beach if needed.

Nothing would stay again in a heartbeat. The beach outside is a little rocky in the water but no problem for us as we had wet shoes, will need to walk about 3 minutes to the left to reach sandy shore area- just to be aware of

The photos doesn't really do it justice, it is a lot nicer in person. We stayed at the bungalows facing the beach, you literally couldn't beat our view. A few steps from your door and you have sand on your feet. You couldn't get anymore beachfront than Ravenala! The beach is one of the nicest beach we've ever been to, with white sands and a nice corals for snorkelling. You really couldn't beat it! Perfect for taking early morning walks when there isn't too many people, however it is located towards the quite end of the beach so it's perfect for a relaxing holiday! The staff are super friendly, and even set up a table for me and my partner to have dinner on the beach! They have their own bar which opens in the afternoon, and the prices are reasonable; same goes for the food. The beds are comfy, although the toilets could do with some renovations to keep it up to date, it did the job. It was clean, and had everything you needed. Definitely would stay here again next time we visit Moalboal!

The property is out the way from the main town so you would need to pay to get tricycles which can add up. Also the food portions could be a little bit better but overall we was happy with what we got. Could do with kettle and coffee in the rooms

Our rooms were next to each other (rooms 1 and 2), and were as close to the beach as could be expected. The patio area had a rainwater wash tub to rinse your feet off, before going into the rooms, which made this so much nicer. The bathrooms were very clean and large, with good hotwater. The beds were 7/10, but the pillows were great, and you could hear the waves lapping the beach while lying in bed. The restaurant was good, and had a good variety of western and Filipino dishes. The location is perfectly located in the centre of the Moalboal "strip".

The restaurant had run out of chicken breast, so i was not able to have my first or second choices for dinner. We would have extended our stay another night, to enjoy the place more, however it was fully booked the following day. (an indication of how good this place is).

We absolutely loved our stay there. If you want a personal experience then stay there. We had a scooter so we could ride into the main area. It was perfect for our group of 6. Quiet area Locals around. Food was devine. It's not 5star but it's authentic and the staff are just amazing and it feels like home. We highly recommend it. Can do snorkelling on the beach which was a bonus

This is the BEST place I’ve stayed at for a vacation, and I meant THE BEST. From the first day of arrival after a long drive from Cebu city, we were greeted by Ravenala’s lovely team. The beach bungalow was clean and the staff already turned on the A/C to welcome us. I love the bamboo furniture (bed frame and chairs), very eco friendly. The climate was actually really nice, the sea breeze at night was cooling enough that we didn’t need the AC at all. I’ve had some of the best sleep at Ravenala, with the sound of the waves in the background, I slept like a baby. Shoutout to Maria and all the lovely staff who tended to our needs, from dining to booking taxi or tuk tuk, gave honest advice on prices and made sure we were not overcharged. She always addressed us by our name and made us feel like part of the family. I insisted on hugging Maria at the end of our trip and genuinely felt sad that we had to leave. Breakfast was yummy. There was a selection of continental or Filipino breakfast with eggs, hams, sausages, bacon, toast, jam, butter, fresh fruit, juice and free flow of brewed coffee. Dinner option was great too. We enjoyed the serene atmosphere so much that we chose to avoid the crowded Panagsama and ate onsite every night. The staff will come take your order for dinner in the afternoon and adjust according to your schedule. From the beach bungalow, it is only less than 50m to the shore of White beach, which is clean and stunning. My partner and I could swim on our own out to the reefs within 100m to shore and spotted more than 10 turtles in just one swim. There were sardine runs too. Throughout our stay, we snorkelled and free dive 2-3 times everyday. We love the place so much that we regretted booking only 3 nights. Ravenala, we will be back 🥰

Absolutely everything. The garden-sound of birds-hermit crabs-the love and joy that was put into the garden. Tranquility and absolute serenity of the lodge. We loved the resident dog Brix - the staff were exceptional. Always friendly and the care that was taken for all our needs. The proximity of the beach outside the rooms. Being away from the the rush of the town. The food that was always prepared with care and was always tasty. Every need was catered for even a typical South African barbecue was arranged on the beach for our group. We Absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it.
