We liked everything about it. We have been before in 2014 for our wedding night but we only spend the night and half a day next day, so we didn’t really get to enjoy it. This time we stayed 2 nights in a better room. We stayed in one of the rooms with river view and it definitely was the room with the best view. I will attach photos because the views are just breathtaking. The food was really good and although was expensive, we went for dinner in Lisbon city centre, and the prices were about the same. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel and both were quite good. The service was really good, the guys definitely go the extra mile to make you feel at home and the location is really good because it’s only about 20min taxi drive to Lisbon city Centre and Costa da Caparica. We will definitely be back some time soon.

If there’s one thing I should point is that you should have more water in the rooms.

This is an amazing country villa feel among the countryside, grape vineyards, orchards, and horses. You are only 15 minutes from the Lisbon Old Town across the Ponte 25 de Abril Tagus River Suspension Bridge. The view of Belem Tower, Monument of Discoveries, Caiscais, Sintra Pena Palace, and of course the main portion of Lisbon is spectacular. Ok, I could go on and on about the panoramic views from the Quinta Tagus. We chose to stay in the Panorama Room with a large living space with walk-in closet, large bath with walk-in shower, and separate WC room across from the bath. The panoramic view extends through sliding glass doors out onto a large wooden deck. My daughter stayed in a smaller separate room that suited her needs well and also had a nice view. She particularly enjoyed feeding apples and pears to the horses being boarded on the property. Out beyond the large pool and expansive grass area, I enjoyed lounging in a private gazebo for hours one day to just read a book and watch the ship traffic and sailboats pass by on the river. With the property wrapping around the villas, there is plenty of places to take long walks under the pine trees out towards the closer river view and back up the canyons nearby which we took advantage of doing. So what really makes this place extra special was our experiences with the Team of professionals that operate the facility and cared for us. The breakfast team led by a friendly and humorous Flavio served us in the glass enclosed panoramic view dining area providing hand selected and prepared fruits, freshly baked breads, tea, coffee, juices, meats, and cheeses, cereals, omelets, and yoghurt to fuel our busy days walking in Lisbon. We chose to have dinner on two different nights at the Quinta Tagus Dining because of the exquisite and tasty seafood and vegetarian dishes served by Maria and Carolina. Pedro at reception was a great guide to sites to see in Lisbon. He is also quite the surfer oficionado.

I was disappointed the pool was not heated and didn't use the beautiful pool for this reason. Otherwise, there was little to be disappointed in. Great getaway. If you are wanting to be close to the city, ie walking distance, this is not the place, however there is bus service close by at the university about 1 mile away from the Quinta Tagus.

An amazing resort in Almada with a panoramic view of the Tagus river and the city of Lisbon! We enjoyed our big breakfast every morning. The restaurant staff were always friendly and hospitable! We couldn't use the pool because the water was cold, but we had a relaxing time just relaxing at the resort. It also had a stable with a few horses we visited during our stay. We had a great time at Quinta Tagus and would love to return again one day!

Nothing really. We had a relaxing time! We didn't mind taking a Bolt car from Lisbon, it was still affordable and we enjoyed riding through the bridge every day. We only wished we had a kettle and tea in our room.

A lovely hotel with an interesting characterful historic building, attractive grounds and a friendly atmosphere. Our room was huge, as was the bathroom, and very well designed in a contemporary style. The restaurant has an amazing view over the Belem area of Lisbon, it was very good value and the food delicious so we didn't feel inclined to go elsewhere. Breakfast was ordered at the table in the restaurant with no shortage of choice and great quality. The pool was a nice, relaxing area to sit when the sun was out and despite the water being a little chilly in October, we did manage to use it. We would happily return.

The large terrace for our room had hardly any furniture so when a lounger broke and wasn't replaced we couldn't use the outside space at all. Tea promised in the room never arrived. It wasn't slick but somehow one could forgive it due to its positive qualities and friendliness.

A very nice property with nice room and stunning views of the Tagus and the Atlantic. However on the verge of falling (only one sunbed, one of the three windows had closed shades and these could not be drawn up anymore, staff topics with some of the staff members, see negative aspects). Most staff members very friendly, with one exception. Overall good location for exploring Caparica and the south area of Lisbon.

Most of the staff members were friendly and competent, however some seemed to be stand-in: during checkin there was no welcome or Hello and we were just reminded that we were too early for checkin (which we were aware of, we just wanted to store the luggage for later). When the next day, there was only cold water in the shower - which can happen, but there was no word of regret or anything else offered. Instead, charging 5.50EUR extra for a cappucino at breakfast feels overpriced. Specifically after a cold shower ;-) We did not have a secoind sunbed

The breakfast was lovely either indoors or outdoors. Currently, you have unlimited choice off the menu and they are happy to bring you whatever you like. The grounds and endless views of the Tagus River are amazing as is the natural setting. We didn't have a chance to swim in the pool however it looked inviting. We left early in the morning and, upon request, they made sure we had some food to take with us in place of the morning breakfast. The staff went out of their way to help including Pedro and Carolina.

We had some uninvited insects visit our room who come at sunset. They were harmless and the staff sprayed against them with no problem the following night.

The location and view were absolutely stunning! We had a breathtaking view of the city, the mountains, the horses at the hotel stable, and the river. It was truly a perfect place to relax and get some work done simultaneously. The staff was friendly and professional, and we felt very welcomed when we checked in at 11:30 PM. Before our arrival, we also had excellent communication with the receptionist. The place is even more beautiful than the pictures!

The house/room where I slept could use a renovation. It is a bit old, and the shower drain smelled bad. I let the shower run for a while to wash out the smell. It was also my fault that I didn't inform the staff while I was there. But overall, it was a pleasant experience at Quinta Tagus, and you quickly forget the negative points because the positive points far outweigh the negative ones.

Targus was wonderful!! Beautiful location - across the River Targus from the city of Lisbon. The best staff - especially Pedro and Flavio! Gorgeous and tasty food. My compliments to the chef!! I have no complaints whatsoever, only happiness at staying at this beautiful location. This location is outside of Lisbon, but well worth it. It's not hard to get into Lisbon. We took an Uber to the ferry. Ferry ride was short - maybe 15-20 mins. Ferry departure is in the city of Lisbon. I rate this location highly if you love beautiful scenic views, peace and quiet. You won't regret it.

New Years Eve Dinner was excellent, great food and excellent wines. The service was super and the views of Lisbon for the fireworks was wonderful. It was great to walk around the gardens, super views across the Tagus to the city. The room was quite big with loads of space. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.

The facilities though are looking tired and in need of some care and attention. The garden loungers have seen better days and the balcony decking and furniture looked shabby. In the room, (Pinheiro) a couple of chairs would improve the comfort as it was quite basic. The bathroom needs some TLC.... There were some power issues while there.

The location is beautiful, the view of Lisbon on the other side is stunning. You feel close to the the city but actually not too much at the same time and that’s the best feeling. I really enjoyed the quietness of the place. The staff is very good and I loved how they took care of us and our little baby. The pool and the garden area are also a plus if you want to relax before or after spending the day away. And Caparica beaches are very close by car. Highly recommended.

Perhaps breakfast could start a little bit earlier than 8 am because we have a child and we used to get up at 7. For a couple it’s perfect I guess.
