The view was amazing. We had a gorgeous ocean view from our room. The king size bed was spacious and comfortable. They provided us with fruit, cheese, crackers and wine in our room. The staff at reception were kind and helpful. The pool was heated and beautiful. I had never stayed in such a gorgeous hotel.

The staff at the bar and the pool bar were very lazy. I waited half an hour for a menu and another 10 minutes to take my order. When I left my table to find staff to ask for my bill the waiter was just standing looking at his phone when there were tables full of dirty dishes. People were getting so hot waiting for service in the hot sun that they were moving their chairs away from the table. When I left there was a couple still waiting for their food and they ordered before me.

Location was amazing and our room was large and clean, with lovely views. Breakfast was good and varied and the place to sit outside was great. Pool was huge and great for swimming and very close to a beach for sea swimming too. We were also left welcome treats in each room of wine, cheese, fruit and cakes, which was a lovely touch.

We had to book 1 night in a classic/ standard room and the next few in a suite as this was all that was available. We decided to do this as a big treat for our wedding anniversary and were excited to change rooms as our first was already really lovely, with a big balcony. We were disappointed with our suite though, as it was very expensive and the one we had didn't have a balcony and the sofa area looked at the wall. This was different to the description which said it had a balcony, and the pictures we'd seen. We asked if they had another but they didn't and nothing was offered to compensate for the room not being as described. We would have preferred to stay in our first room with a balcony! The coffee at breakfast wasn't good and the water was not hot enough for good tea.

Hotel with great ocean views, very quiet, where there is no car noises. Great to relax, but at the same time very close to the city and to Silveira, where it's possible to swim on the sea. There are also swimming pools available (cold outside and a warm inside with jacuzzi).

The Gym and Swimming pool are a public (they are a public gym). The sauna and Turkish bath were turned off during the low season, so you better confirm when you are traveling if you are expecting to use the services. The Value for Money compared with other hotels in the city is not competitive if the view is not your critical point of choice.

I found the breakfast uninteresting and the “hot” food at best like warm.

Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Gym and indoor pool were great.

Outdoor pool has gorgeous view but is not heated. Curiously, this appears to be very common in the Azores -- outdoor pools that are not heated. Outside of peak summer you may not find yourself braving the icy waters, as the Azores' air temperature is never that hot. I can't imagine that the pool ever gets truly comfortable.

The pool, the views and the location to Angra do Heroísmo which has fantastic restaurants. The beds were huge and so comfortable- we had such a deep night’s sleep and was well rested.

The hotel probably needs updating and seems a little tired. The breakfast could be a little better - fresh coffee rather than from a machine and stronger tea would greatly improve the experience!

Stunning views, super peaceful, great location, comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings.. super nice staff ! Relaxing large swimming pool and lovely garden nearby the ocean. Such a great experience.

I loved everything ! I would have appreciated more options for dinner as we loved so much the place that we wanted to stay every evening for dinner after exploring the island but the choice was a bit restricted (either buffet or limited choice at the bar).

The location of the property was absolutely fabulous. I can’t say anything bad, the staff was exceptional. And the young lady at the front desk, did everything she could to help us every single day. I would like to commend her for her excellent work she did for me. I just can’t remember her name but I’m sure she can remember me.

The only issue that I had about the property was it seems that it needed an update perhaps some new carpet, and I’m sure they already know that. Just minor upgrades, Paint carpet, etc. Other than that like I said absolutely fantastic.

The hotel shares the community fitness center, so you have access to a gym with much better equipment than your standard hotel. The indoor and outdoor pool options are nice as well, though I did not utilize them.

It's probably not an issue for a shorter stay as there are plenty of options, but the breakfast buffet does get old after some time. The options do not really change daily, and if you want eggs other than hard boiled or scrambled, you have to pay.
