Great location about a 10 min walk to the Rato subway station. We dropped off our rental car at the airport and took public transportation into the city. We also had a nice queen sized bed. The staff was extremely helpful and sold us a 24-hour metro card that we used extensively. The breakfast was one of the best that we had in Portugal.

When we arrived, we could not figure out what button to push to get service and open the guest house door. First impression was not very good: The entrance/foyer rug looked a bit worn and made the place feel a little run-down. It felt a bit odd to have to walk up then down to get to the reception area, but that's not a deal breaker. It is a historical building, after all!

The staff was sooo friendly! They really made me feel very welcomed as a solo traveler. The room was very very spacious and located in a neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and bars. Also close to bus stops as well.

Please note that this hotel does not have an elevator, If you have accessibility issues this Might be a problem. Also Be aware this property is on the top of a hill from…all angles. If you don’t take a bus to the nearest station, you’ll be walking uphill a lot.

This is located in an area called Principe Real, a residential area with not very much tourist activity going on. Great if you need a quiet location. The touristy areas of Baixa-Chiado and the Praça do Comércio are roughly 30 mins walk from there (all downhill as the hotel is on a hill) or you can of course take the iconic tram or a bus. To get back, you'll be walking up the hill! So if you do mind that, then it'll be a tram, bus or taxi back up there. The included breakfast was really good (and a generous selection) as around the area you'd probably have to walk around 5 mins to get to a cafe or shop and it's quite hilly. The hosts were very helpful and friendly; just let them know if you need recommendations or services you may need for your trip. Side note: I was lucky - I booked in the low-season at end of November time (still warmly mild) and got a room upgrade due to low demand! Nice touch.

Nothing much! There was a broken plastic chair - just check that the furniture is damaged before using it and report it to the hosts and they'll change it out.

When we arrive the room was less than expected, I mentioned this as honestly as I could and immediately the staff: margarita who was working at the time notnonly did everything she could to help but also gave us amazing rec for food and made us feel so welcomed and heard even with a criticism I have never felt more welcomed. It changes my whole situation entirely she tried to help me with every detail so calmly

I would ah e liked to know before hand how difficult it can be to arrive by car in Lisbon/ this is no fault of the property but some recommendations about where and how to safely leave a car would have helped enormously/ especially considering most staff/ driendly and helpful as they are/ do not drive cars (wisely)ina md around Lisbon.

I was blown away by the experience and facilities. They communicated with me and were ready for my very late arrival. I received a warm welcome and a complimentary botella of wine (perfect for 1-person). The room had a kitchenette with a table and the bedroom was large enough to have a chair and room to pace. The included breakfast was good and served in a comfortable space. I received a personal follow-up email after check-out thanking me for my stay, a very nice touch. The room was clean and well-maintained.

While the location could have been more central, the Rato metro line was nearby and everything was accessible.

This place is simply amazing. We had a loft apartment that was really cute with mini kitchen, super comfy bed and good shower with impressive power, the toiletries were really good, smelt lovely. A great location, easily able to walk pretty much anywhere. The staff were amazing and I mean all of staff including housekeeping and kitchen❤️ they were so friendly but also professional and helpful with suggestions for us to visit. Breakfast was included and was a huge variety of savoury and sweet pastries, ham and cheese, toast, granola, fruit and yoghurt etc and also any kind of coffee you fancy or tea❤️. Some lovely restaurants around this district too❤️ 100% recommended. V.xx

Can’t fault a thing.

The rooms were comfortable , very clean , shower had good pressure and hot water . The bed was very comfortable, good drawer/closet and bathroom vanity made it easy to manage belongings . The check in was easy , the staff were PHENOMENAL with advanced communication, special requests for gluten free bread and even made a breakfast to-go package for my niece who left early for airport. The breakfast was delicious with fresh food from their organic farm . The back patio was lovely . So many details attended to! Wish only that we could have stayed longer 💗

Nothing all was perfect for my taste and needs

Breakfast was very complete. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very spacious, the location is really great, just a 10 minute walk to the main centre and lots of restaurants on the way. The view from our 3rd floor window was amazing. The staff was also very helpful and kind. Something to highlight is that they provide you with fresh water and a small bottle of wine upon your arrival. Room has a minibar, so that’s very useful!

- No elevator, very steep stairs. - Cleaning details but nothing serious. - Could add more vegan options for breakfast. - Toilet paper could have been of better quality. - The room was a bit small, if you have a lot of luggage you won’t have a lot of storage space. - And also, please put more hangers for clothes, only 3 in our room. Apart from these small details, we would definitely stay here again.

This is a gorgeous old building, but the room felt modern and well appointed. It's close to a lot of restaurants, and we found it easy to get around on foot, or with Bolt if the destination was a bit further as the weather was very hot. The included breakfast is out of this world. So many homemade items and fresh items from their farm. The true gem is the reception staff, especially Walid. He took so much time with us on multiple occassions to answer our questions and provide suggestions.

The only negative is that the shower stall was very small. My partner and I are both slender but tall, but the enclosure was hard to maneuver in. I'm not sure if some rooms have larger showers, but if you are on the larger size it may be worth inquiring about.

In a quiet and central location. It’s in a clean and green neighbourhood, close to a park and tons of restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is charming and run by warm and hospitable staff! It offers great breakfast and coffee and some refreshments during the day. The room is clean and comfortable. They also kept my luggage after check out, and offered shower facilities. I’d book again!

Like in many hotels in Lisbon, the rooms can be tight with the bed occupying almost all parts of a section making it difficult to move a suitcase from the door to the living space but not a dealbreaker at all, just something to think about if you have a heavy suitcase.
