The location is excellent; central/walking distance to everything, including food, shopping, parks, tourist attractions and buses/underground train. I felt safe staying here, the entire time. Anna, the host, is a sweet person who wants to be helpful. She presented as sensitive, patient and caring.

It was difficult sharing bathrooms and showers; they needed more attention (cleaning) and keeping hand towels clean/changing them out daily was also needed. I had also assumed that use of the washer in the image(s) was included. It's not, there is a $5 fee and no dryer. Our room had an opening to a terrace, but the host stated that guests were not permitted out there. Finally, I didn't know there would be a cat. She is a very sweet and calm cat, who mostly sleeps on the couch in the entry area, but I do have allergies, so it would have been nice to know she would be there.

Mini hostel is first and foremost a great value stay. While it’s not walking distance to downtown Lisbon, it is situated right next to a metro station on the Green Line, and it’s roughly a 10 minute ride to the heart of downtown Lisbon. Ana, the host, was incredibly warm and receptive, and made sure we had her phone number in case we needed anything or had any question big or small. Additionally, the shared bathrooms were extremely clean, with good water pressure and warm temperatures. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it was fully equipped to allow for meal preparation (with a stove) and storage. Also, my partner and I arrived very late to Lisbon (2am) and Ana’s fully self service check in process gave us peace of mind that we could easily get into our room and get to sleep.

If you’re a light sleeper, this hostel may be a challenge for you, as you can hear sounds throughout the property as people are coming and going from their rooms and the hostel itself.

I was surprised because the place was much better than what I thought! We had a room for two, and it was nice and tidy and had all the essentials we needed (towels, fan, sheets). The ladies who work there are extremely nice and they make you feel very welcome. Also, I must say the wifi works very well and I managed to do videocalls for work! We slept very well (it could also be because we were very tired...) and it was an easy place to get to and it has a direct metro line to the centre!! Honestly I loved it so much!! Even the cat they have is super cute and cosy!

I liked absolutely everything!

Perfect location. The metro station is down the street. There are a lot of food options nearby too. There are a lot of negative reviews about this place, but I found it quite nice. The owner might not respond in booking.com messages, but once we reached the place we called them and it was very easy check-in and check-out process. The owner has a cat. He is quiet and will occasionally make small visits to play. If you are a cat lover, you will enjoy his company.

The room was probably closed for a while, so it and the sheets had a humid smell, but it went away once we opened the windows for a while.

I need to write this. I am a frequent traveler with more than 200 days on the road the year. But if I have to go to Lisbon, then always this hostel if it is available. The hoster is a hard working woman. Daily she needs to clean 2-3 times the common bath facilities because of some guests which are pigs. She is a human being and have her personal problems too. Daily she need to wash and dry the sheets of up to 16 beds. And some guests have no respect. Checking at 3pm normally. Suddenly the guest are at 10:30 AM here and asking regards the accommodations. Another guest is still in the room! Another guest drop their luggage and enjoy the day, saying coming back at 10 PM. Then they come back at 4 PM. Guys, this is a hostel and not a “hotel” ! How can it be that some people give an excellent rating on the same day as another give a brutal bad rating? It’s a momentum impression. She is since 11 years active, passed the pandemic without any compliance. Don’t forget it’s a hostel where you can cook a good meal by yourself. No need to go to a restaurant like in a hotel. And no, she is not an alcoholic like many wrote her. She just try to enjoy the time when she is off. Unfortunately is she almost never off. Even at 1 AM is a checking possible, but some guest want to see only the worse. I can afford a hotel easy in Lisboa, but if I return I will always look if that hostel is available. It’s the best.

It was great value for money and the facilities were very good. The showers, kitchen and toilet were clean and much better than I expected for a hostel at that price. They provided towels and bedding and a fan which was a real comfort when we arrived (as we didn’t expect any of that) and helped with the hot nights.

The window to our room was a glass door that opened out to the communal garden that would double as a window however the ventilation wasn’t great as a window so we would have to open the door which was only slightly inconvenient at times. The only tiny issue I had (which was barely an issue) was that due to people in the communal garden we would have to keep the curtains closed so it would be pretty dark but that’s the only thing I’d want to be aware of.

Honestly I was a bit scared hot it will be, after I started reading the reviews on the train towards Lisbon. But despite all the negative reviews I had a positive experience. First things first! As in many reviews contained there is a cat (Kat) who's the lord of the flat and i can't remember seeing anywhere mentioned when i booked the hostel. So if you have any allergy to hair or pets find another one. In nutshell, mostly satisfied, the host is kind and helpful, the place was cleaned every day. Terrace is lovely!

Was a bit surprised that there is a cat in the flat, but he's cute and there is not a lot problem with him. One of them toilets ( closer to the shower) stink, but if you do your big job there at least no one gonna notixe the difference. My bunk bed made a bit of noise when i spin around, but completely acceptable for the money i paid.

My stay in Lisbon was truly memorable! I stayed in a dorm room of four, it was extremely comfy. The beds felt like a cozy haven, I got the rest I needed after a long day of traveling. The hostel had a warm and welcoming vibe, and I made some wonderful new friends during my stay. The host went out of their way to help me, making my Lisbon adventure even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to fellow travelers, it added an extra layer of magic to my trip. A big thank you for an unforgettable experience! And I fell in love with the cat, he is truly the king in the house, next time I visit I’ll bring treats for his highness.

The owners of the hostel are very kind and friendly. The cat is super cute snd fluffy! I loved the location, it’s close to pretty much everything you need and well communicated with the center and old town.

I did not like the showers, you do not have much privacy as the 2 cabins are next to each-other in the same bathroom.

The hostel is conveniently situated, close to an important metro station. The 4-person room had enough place for both people and their luggage. The kitchen is well equipped, and the inside balcony is pleasant to sit and eat your food.

The beds could be more comfortable, because the mattresses are really thin.
