We booked a stay at the VIP Executive Arts hotel on our way home from an extended vacation. We wanted to overnight after coming in off a flight to Lisbon, before getting on a train at nearby (10 minute walk) Oriente train station. The hotel is perfectly located just 10 minutes from the metro station from the Airport. It is new and modern. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The room was spacious and very clean, with an excellent bathroom including a tub an shower. Breakfast was varied and delicious. We particularly appreciated the very easy proximity to the train and metro stations. For anyone looking for a hotel option within range of Lisbon Airport, this is one to look at. There are also some charming restaurants within walking distance. Even if your flight requires you to arrive at the airport outside of metro hours, it is a very short taxi ride to the airport, and the exceptionally favorable price of this hotel makes it well worth choosing it.

No complaints!

The hotel is not new (I stayed there on my first visit to Lisbon in 2007), but it still meets the four-star standard in the strictest sense. The facilities within the room are well designed. For example, the side of the washing basin closest to the user is lower than the side closest to the mirror, making it easier and more comfortable to use. The view from the room window is stunning. Breakfast was super good and room was very clean.

For me nothing special. For tourists, the hotel is a bit far from Baixa, Alfama and Belem, but you can always take a Bolt or Taxi.

Big and clean rooms, very pleasant, with comfortable beds. Nice and quiet with good Wi-Fi. Great location. Friendly staff.

Price-quality a bit on the high side. The bathroom was starting to show some age, in particular the shower tap was a bit broken and coming off. Did not have breakfast in the hotel as it was too expensive compared to Portuguese bakeries (more than 10eur per person - could have 3 decent breakfasts in a cafe nearby for that price). Tried having room service one night but they wouldn’t pick up the call (kept trying for 10min), so I ended up giving up and grabbing some food in one of the nearby restaurants.

The first room had a heavy smoke smell as someone smoked in the room. I barely was able to sleep that night. The following day I went to the reception and asked for a room change. Brenda, one of the staff, changed my room with no problem. The second room had no smoke smell. Thank you !

The fact that the first room had a have smoke smell, but in all fairness, this is not the fault of the hotel staff, as they cannot control every guest. However, I would suggest installing more sensitive smoke detectors, so they can immediately see if someone smokes in the room.

The VIP Executive Arts Hotel is an exceptionel good 4* hotel in a nice location with ver, good facilities. The staff is extremely nice and tries to help wherever they can. The size of the rooms if quite good, spacious I would say compared to other hotels I've been to. The bathroom was very nice and looked almost new. In general the quality of cleaning is absolutely top. We received a room on one of the upper floors with an amazing view over the bay. If you are looking for a hotel in the direct city center, this isn't the right place to stay as you need to commute to the center - pleade keep in mind this is not a rating of the location at all, just a hint for other travellers. In fact I definitely recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to stay in this area.

The location was the main reason we picked the place since it’s closer to the airport. We only stayed one night but it was up to our expectation. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our flight was in the morning and the buffet type of breakfast was very convenient though not free. It’s close enough to the Oriente train station and bus terminals and there’s a mall nearby and lots of cafes and restaurants outside. Overall a great location.

You had to pay to weigh your luggage in the scale

The place was perfect for the job - a night in Lisbon before an early morning flight. Easy access to the train station, airport, transit, and cabs, cute neighborhood, and space as advertised. This would make a great base for a couple of nights in Lisbon or as a starting or ending point (and it seems many of the guests were in the same boat).

It was not the most charming or updated property - definitely had some former glory vibes, but everything was well maintained and clean. The checkin was hectic with a line of ~10 people deep but that may have been the prime arrival time. Checkout was a breeze and the amenities worked perfectly.

WE stayed at this location because it was a short drive to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised that within walking distance there were many places to eat including a shopping mall with an amazing food court. Also we went to the casino in the evening.

The air conditioner woke us up in the middle of the night making horrible noise. We had to turn it off and when we woke up the next morning the room was stuffy.

About 10-15 minutes by feet from Oriente railway and metro station. 3 metro station from airport (10 minutes) to Oriente station. When you travel further - it's comfortable (I was 3 nights in Lisbon, then moved to Porto). But to get to the center you have to take 20-25 minutes metro. The breakfast was good, but the same for all 3 days I was there. The hotel itself is rather old (the furniture), but good. The bathroom has all you can need.

The room didn't have the "do not disturb" door sign. When I stay for a couple of days I prefer to be able to have this sign on the door. You can well hear the neighbor rooms. Sometimes, when the neighbor door opened/closed I thought it was my room door.

They offered us a very nice room with a beautiful view. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The housekeeping did an amazing job. The products in the bathroom were nice.

he only thing that I would change is the people at the recepcion don't have good places to recommend you. You need to do your own work to find good places to go. Special restaurants like more high ending places. I didn't find a champagne bar at all very difficult to find, but if you like beer or mix drinks you will love Portugal.
