The hotel was well appointed, staff accommodating, a really modern gem in the middle of historical Porto , 10/10

There was nothing to complain about this amazing property

At first, we were a bit nervous about booking this hotel because there were no reviews. After we read online that the hotel only opened last month, we understood why there were still no reviews - and we decided to give it a try. And we are so happy with our decision! The hotel is in the BEST location. you're literally on Santa Catarina street, which is the most fun and entertaining area for tourists. All the known shops and small local stores, shopping malls and bars. A lot of people traveling the area. Also, it is SUPER close to all the more historical attractions. As I said, the hotel is brand new so everything is clean and new. The staff is very friendly, especially Pedro at the reception who was very kind. The breakfast is sufficient and tasty. The atmosphere in the hotel is more intimate and boutique-like. It's not the biggest or the fanciest hotel - but it's just what you need, and it's the best.

The location of this hotel is AMAZING! You can visit almost everything in Porto by foot. The hotel is nice and unique in Porto style. Really nice lobby and rooms. Rooms are clean. Overall, it was a good experience.

We didn't like that our room was on -1 floor. It is not under ground and there is a window that looks on some kind of "garden," but if you don't put curtains on, people from the dining room can look into your room. Some of the stuff were really nice, but some were not. When we first came and asked to check in, the girl just looked at us and said "no" with no further explanation or anything. We had to ask why, and the reason was ok (we came an hour or two before check-in time). Also they didn't offer to leave our baggage in laguage room, we had to ask for that too. I'm not sure if it is because of the language barrier or something else, but no communication at all leaves a bad impression. Breakfast can be more varied. But the part with sweets was amazing.

Casual Raizes Porto is on the upper end of R. De Santa Catarina so really on a main shopping street of Porto but you don’t feel the hustle and bustle because it is in the edge of the pedestrian traffic. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the outside common area was nice and quiet. Complementary flavored water and wine is offered in the evenings.

The beds were harder than I like but this was true for 3 out of 4 hotels I stayed in during our Portugal trip so I’m guessing that is a preference rather than a neglect of the property.

This is a really nice modern hotel with bright functional rooms. I loved the colourful decor and the open-plan wardrobe, which means less chance of leaving anything behind. The windows were excellent, blocking any slight noise from the street below. Also light-blocking curtains. Air-con was good. The staff were exceptionally friendly and at the desk 24 hours. Breakfast was nothing special but perfectly good, in an airy room overlooking a small terrace. Location is OK - very close to Bolhao Metro; but north of the main sights in Porto. I usually walked to the centre which took 17-25 minutes depending where you are going; or there are buses that stop nearby or the metro.

Rua Santa Catarina is a pedestrianised shopping street, so not many nice eateries nearby.

Excellent location to explore the old town. Proximity to the metro, shopping district and, last but not least, Bolhao market. Comfortable bed, plenty of pillows and as a bonus my favorite brand of cosmetics in the bathroom. The small breakfast buffet was enough to start the day. Sometimes, however, it would also like to change variety of dishes, or just add more vegetables.

A noisy door that slammed. Especially at night it was quite enough to hear from the corridor to the room.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is amazing! Before the departure they texted me on whatsapp and they were very nice and friendly i felt welcomed even before arriving there , for my birthday they left a card for the wishes and they made it special!! The hotel is very clean and smell nice! The room is tiny but comfortable for 2 people is perfect! You will also find a lot of amenity in the room, and looks like they are little gifts … and thats nice!!! I will definitely raccomand this hotel!

Taxi service is very expensive, they charged 37 euro to get the taxi to the airport and if you uber is only 13 euro. And i think is overcharged . So dont ask for any taxi.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. They were always friendly and greeted us warmly each and every time we entered the hotel. We wanted to give a special recognition of Angela for the wonderful service she provided throughout our stay. That level of attention is highly appreciated when traveling abroad. The people in Portugal in general, are quite approachable and easy to talk with and get to know. The breakfast was substantial and in a very nice setting. The room had good lighting and the bathroom was clean and modern with a bidet which we prefer. The location is perfect along the pedestrian thoroughfare of Santa Catarina.

The heat in the room made it necessary to open the window at times even though it was winter outside.

Wonderful experience! The location was great, very convenient to get to the airport and also within walking distance of many sights, interesting areas and a lovely coffee shop (My Coffee Porto). The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the unique decor - my room had the famous bridge wallpaper - and the little reminder notes throughout the room. For me it was more than "just a place to sleep" - although I did sleep very well in the comfy bed. As it was centrally located it was easy enough to return to the hotel during the day to take a little break before heading out to explore the city further again.

The only thing that was missing was more light in the shower. My room was wheelchair accessible, maybe that was why but as soon as I closed the shower curtain, I couldn't see much anymore as the very dark shower curtain blocked out most of the light. I had to close it though as otherwise I would have had a swimming pool in my bathroom :)

The staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and cosy with simple but all necessary facilities you need. The location is amazing, close to everywhere and public transportation.

None, I am very happy with all the things. I would highly recommend to everyone.
