Two very helpful receptionists (Emilia and Karina), both speaking English. A good location, not far to walk to old town, river, Luiz bridge, anything; although one should know, that Porto districts have quite a difference in altitude - which, I guess, is part of the charme of the city. Closeby is a bus station for city busses e.g. to the Atlantic (EUR 2,50/person/trip). The area feels safe at day and night, a car may be parked in a private garage at the opposite of the guest house for very reasonable EUR 12/day (cash). The breakfast for EUR 6 offers a huge coffee or tea, milk, corn flakes, croissant, bread roll, simple cheese/sausage slices, jam, honey (on request) and fresh orange juice - a lot for the money. One may sit at the patio in the back. A good place to stay!

The location is very good, close to the metro and on the main "modern" street with restaurants, stores, city mall. We went on foot everywhere, so it's relatively close to city center and turistic points. The breakfast was a good value for the money, they served us good food and coffee for 5 euro. The staff has a good english and spanish since portuguese was not an option for us. The room is not big and new but it was clean and enough for us.

Lack of elevator. We didn't like the 3rd floor stairs, since in Porto we climbed on to many stairs..

We liked the kindness of the staff, even though they did not speak much english. It is a family run business with exceptional people. Liked the proximity to the city center and sights, so there was no need to use public transportation. The room was good for a 2 night stay for a couple. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Would definitely stay again here. We were allowed to leave our luggage at the reception after check-out, which was really helpful.

Lack of soundproofing.

Very nice and helpful staff. The accommodation is at walking distance from the Aliados metro station and there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. You can order breakfast the day before which is simple but filling with fresh coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The room was cleaned every day. We stayed in the 3rd floor which I would not recommend for someone with limited mobility. They also have a scheme in place to accommodate very late arrivals which I really appreciated.

It would be good to have access to a fridge so we could store some cold drinks.

The staff is very kind and do their best to help if possible. For example, there isn't an elevator and we were assigned a room at the third floor. We were with a senior person and we asked at the reception if we could have a more accessible one and they gave us a room on the first floor. Very good value for money. Fine location on a known commercial and pedestrian street. Also excellent maintenance and cleaning of the rooms. If we return to Porto, we would stay here again without a doubt!

Some minor issue is that the switches for the individual lights (at least in our room) were higher than usual, above the bed headboards. Also maybe would have be fine to have a small fridge in the rooms to store cold drinks... But on the other hand there are a lot of coffee shops and bars in the same street and in the vicinity.

The location really is top tier: right in one of the most famous and central streets, you can reach pretty much any landmark in a 15min walk, truly amazing. The staff was incredibly kind and super helpful, the owner gave us advice on places to visit and he also booked us a taxi for the airport cause we left super early in the morning. The room was tidy and clean, the bathroom has all the amenities you may need and it’s quite spacious too. Very good value for money. Amazing!! 10/10 would recommend and go back

The only small complaint I have is the sheets weren’t super soft but we still slept fine, so I don’t consider this a big deal!

Good location, it is only walking distance from all the tourist attractions, restaurants. The staff was nice, the rooms are clean.

The stairs are a bit steep so it could be a bit hard to carry up your luggages so make sure you don’t have too much stuff 😃 But it is fine, probably you don’t want to go up and down on the stairs all day long since you are on a city tour ☺️ Another thing I would like to mention is the walls, they are too thin, so if you have a louder neighbour unfortunately you will hear everything. But besides all these the apartment is nice, has a good location and it’s good value for money. They clean the rooms everyday. So it is a good place to stay at when visiting Porto. 🇵🇹

• Parking: We travelled by car and the property was easy to find via GPS coordinates. We paid for parking at the reception. The parking garage was in the basement of a building on the opposite side just a few metres down the one-way street. The receptionist opened the garage door and showed us the button to open the garage door from the inside. • Keys: Check-in was quick and easy, and we got the keys from the receptionist who was kind and welcoming. • First impression: On first entry, the room had the smell of a wet dog, but that was not too much of an issue as it was clean and tidy with air conditioning. There were no windows, instead there was a tiny area with a skylight and a bench that gave a feeling of being outdoors. • Kitchen & Bathroom: There were no kitchen facilities. The bathroom was equipped with a shower with good hot water, a toilet and bidet, and a good supply of clean towels. • Bedroom: There was no lift but it was not a problem as the room was on the first floor with a double bed and a bunk bed. Although the room was comfortable, it was a bit small because we were four adults in the room. • Amenities: There was free wifi and air conditioning. • Conclusion: It felt like the 1st floor was in the old part of the building and it was a cramped with no views, but the 2nd to the 5th floor was in the new part of the building and it was spacious, brighter and had nice views.

Everything about our stay was excellent. We arrived late on Friday night but the hotel arranged for us to collect the keys from their safe box, which was a huge relief. The owner was very nice and helpful, the room was great for the price, and we loved the location. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location,very helpful staff, good breakfast! My only suggestion would be to install ceiling fans or have some other fan because the room got hot while i was sleeping. When i opened the window the mosquitoes came in & it was also a bit loud until everyone else went to sleep.

Just needed some air circulation in bedroom at nite.
