Large room with small terrace opening onto communal gardens. Helpful room cleaner. Big bed was great.

Tea and coffee in the room - though we were able to achieve this. A better choice of cereals at breakfast to include a meusli. Cold milk to have with cereals. Cold water to be available in the restaurant. A better coffee machine - or even a brewed coffee available from a jog on a warm plate. No subscription TV available eg Netflix to watch a film. Necessary to use a car or taxi to really reach anywhere from the hotel.

We knew the hotel before, it was out 3rd time there. Breakfast, room, pool and overall amenities are quite ok.

While the reception staff was kind and apologised immediately, the room was a bit dirty at check-in, including a dirty towel and several wine stains in a part of the furniture. One the bar staff was a bit rude in another occasion. One final point goes to to the in-door spa pool - while it is a nice one, it easily gets overcrowded and with people shouting loud, loosing the spa and relaxation feeling. I hope the management can do something about this in the near future.

The location was great. Near some incredible places for sightseeing. The staff were friendly and welcoming and answered any questions I had. The bed was comfortable with a very generously spacious room. The breakfast buffet was amazing. A variety of delicious food was provided. Everything was available and you had all you needed with the facilities and amenities provided. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I didn't understand the heating system in the room as it did not get hot, and I felt cold during the night. Good thing there was an extra blanket provided in the room. Also the Spa facilities need to better be explained to guests. You walk all the way to the Spa to realize that you actually need towels and a locker key from the hotel reception, and you need to phone reception in advance to use the sauna and steam room as they do not keep it on throughout the day. Otherwise I did enjoy my stay.

Wonderful hotel grounds at the foot of the mountains of Sintra. The room size and comfort was great, but during the night a loud humming/droning sound started. The breakfast was varied and nice, the hotel was clean bit has some signs of usage.

The indoor pool was closed for maintenance on our one full day at the hotel, but the staff was very kind and let us use the pool for as long as we wished on the day of our departure. The staff told us that their evening buffet was of a reduced assortment, and that they didn't serve a'la carte in the restaurant at night. In the room we had a loud droning sound that started during the night and went on all morning and day. It was loud enough to wake me up, but we managed to fall asleep again. All in all I'd still recommend this hotel, because the rooms were super comfy, the staff was kind and the facilities were good.

Clean facilities. The room was spacious and they provided an extra bed as required. I really enjoyed the sauna, Turkish bath and outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast was excellent and with great variety. The staff was lovely and always helpful. I would 100% return. Great location from Sintra and Cascais

The indoor swimming pool was not warm enough. The spa facilities close at 9pm, which is not ideal

Overall, I was very happy with the hotel and thought that it was definitely worth the money. The breakfast was lovely and we had lunch there most days and that was also very good. The facilities are brilliant and well looked after.

The bathroom needs to be updated, but considering how much time you spend in there, I’m not going to cry about it. Most of the staff were extremely friendly, but a couple did let the side down. A smile doesn’t cost anything!

Great family friendly hotel away from Cascais, but close enough to Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais, specially if you have a car. The room was big and perfect for a family of three. The swimming pool and buffet breakfast were also big hits for the children.

The bar could have a little more atmosphere other than the sports or news channels constantly on. The gym is a little small.

Location was spot on halfway between Sintra and Cascais. Easy to find from the motorway as long as you don't rely on your Satnav alone. The room was large and very comfortable. The large indoor pool was a real bonus as it was too windy to swim in the outdoor one. Breakfast had a wide range of choices.

Not the hotel's fault but the road network around the nearest village has been changed and my Sat Nav could not cope. Suggest that a little research is needed in advance as the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the motorway.

There are 2 parts of this review: 1 the rooms/hallways, and 2, everything else. The rooms/hallway got a 7..very dated rooms that badly need a refresh, no toiletries, just some bath gel. * However..the dining/ bar area was very nice, as well as both pools ( over run w kids at times) . We loved the sauna and steam rooms. The breakfast really made up for the negatives. It had fresh and healthy options with a great coffee machine. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. We had an early morning flight and they provides us with to go boxes.

The Rooms and hallways...please update! location was a little out of the way with many speed bumps. The palaces in Sintra were closed due to government order due to fire hazard :-( ..but we were able to go to Sintra for dinner, Cabo da Roca and had a relaxing beach day at Praia de Rainha ,Cascais.

The staff were polite, professional, fun and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied and it was possible to eat 'clean' with oats and boiled eggs etc and there was lactose free milk and yogurt too! The hotel was very clean and well maintained.

The fitness suit was limited in weight equipment. More heavier dumbbell weights, a cable crossover machine and a barbell with a powerstation would be better. The pillows on the bed in the room were worn out or just too flimsy. Higher quality and more varied pillows would be an improvement.
