Outstanding new hotel in a great spot near the river right in the heart of the town. Beautiful, fresh and clean rooms. Very comfy. Excellent value for money as this is five star quality accomodation. The late night hotel bar with views of the whole city was an amazing spot to come back to after a day out for a night cap. Best of all, the people who work here were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. All staff are multi-lingual in a number of languages and will gladly assist you with any needs or problems. Great place to stay!

There was nothing I didn’t like - I loved it all - especially the brilliant hotel bar with river views and the great friendly professional staff all throughout the hotel. Everything was amazing :)

Everyone was so lovely. The hotel is very spacious, clean and quiet. Very well situated

The only criticism we have is the lack of hooks to hang up wet towels and swimming suits. Where are we meant to hang our swimsuits after the spa for it to dry? We are meant to hang up the hand towels? I was also surprised by the hairdryer in the room… one of those old hairdryers on which you need to continuously press the button for it to work. We are used to having a Dyson when we go to QT in Australia and I guess I was expecting something similar in a Hilton.

New hotel, very modern and stylish. Kudos to the architects and interior designers. Very comfortable bed, palatial bathroom. Short walk to the river front, but considerably longer to cross into the actual town of Porto. We liked the proximity to the gastronomy mercado, great place to eat and drink.

Much unnecessary fuss about wanting proper milk in my room to go with my tea. The cream capsules provided are ok for coffee, but not tea. One would think that an international hotel chain would be able to accommodate guests who drink English style tea with milk. Also the buffet breakfast, while good, was not up to the standard I have seen in other Hilton hotels. — And this may be churlish, but we booked in for my birthday and there was no acknowledgement, even though the date was in my passport at check-in.

the staff in the reception is very helpful and the spa team is amazing. we had an A/C problem in our first room and they handled the problem really kindly.

the breakfast service was not good. the hotel should have more staff on breakfast on busy days. spa was pretty noisy with children which we assume the relaxing area should be avoided from loud sound.

Excellent property. Clean, spacious with nice gym & spa facilities. Comfortable beds, large room. Staff offered to park and bring our car which was much appreciated. Reasonable price.

Restaurant for dinner was quite bad! Service was extremely slow and dishes very disappointing. Very expensive as well! Restaurant for dinner gets a ZERO out of ten. (Must note breakfast was acceptable, no problem there) Also access to the hotel can be a bit tricky by road on a long, steep one-way narrow street.

I enjoyed this property so much in summer with my husband and children that I brought my mother and my sister back to Porto in December just to stay at the Hilton Gaia. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and impeccable. Service was top notch and the view from the bar is amazing. The best thing was to relax at the pool spa ( at no extra costs!) after a day of excursions. And it is relaxing as children are only allowed at the pool spas before 12 noon. The location is on the waterfront and a walk or quick Uber to Porto center but we much preferred it as it was picturesque.

The Portuguese hospitality! Absolutely wonderful staff! Fantastic breakfast options, everything in the breakfast room was constantly replenished and staff were always attentive. Same with the room - nice comfy beds, airy rooms, power showers and soundproof! Location, location, location - It's a new hotel - don't forget to try the spa facilities at least once or twice during your stay - you won't be disappointed! Thanks to all the lovely staff, who always managed to make me smile - day and night! Muito obrigada para todos!!

It was a wonderful experience that more than exceeded our expectations. The staff was excellent (especially Carla), our room was amazing and huge (2 bathrooms, gigantic shower!!), the breakfast was top notch and the overall look and design of the hotel was excellent. I had also a massage in the spa and it went straight to my top 3 (and I've been to a lot of places in a lot of different countries for luxury massages so this means something). A lot of nice details during the treatment, some of them I had never encountered before. The view from the bar on the 3rd floor is amazing and not to be missed! Completely recommend, also for tourists because the location is perfect.

The Hilton in Porto only opened its doors in September 2021, so it is fresh and clean. The building was originally a wine store, so it has small windows and high ceilings, but inside is very tasteful. The staff are exceptional and so friendly. We were greeted warmly after a long day of travelling. Check in was swift, but personal. I had emailed in advance to see if I could book treatments whilst there and was advised this could be done on arrival. I had asked for 16:00-18:00 on Saturday, but the only available time was 15:00 on Sunday, so we went for that option. The next morning at breakfast, a lady came to find us to offer us the time we had wanted. What great service. The breakfast options were amazing. There was definitely something for everyone and their omelettes, made to order, were gorgeous. As you leave the hotel, you can immediately see the water and you are on the edge of the port. All around are bars and restaurants and some days, there was a lovely little market, with more stalls either side of the bridge. The gym and spa facilities are beautiful. The gym has everything you could want for a great workout and the spa is perfect to relax in afterwards. There is a good sized steam room and sauna, with a couple of showers and an ice dip. Plenty of seating, really large, soft towels and a bath robe. Look for the secret lift - no 8, which takes you to and from the spa without traipsing through the hotel. We travel a lot and have had many massages, but this was up there as one of the best. The bar has a wonderful view across the river and is a nice relaxing environment. If you want a special meal, head to WOW, then go upstairs to '1828'. It's only a ten minute stroll (although easier without high heels). It is not cheap, but the food, service and recommendations are spot on, plus the view is wonderful. We had a wonderful stay at The Hilton and will definitely be back. I highly recommend it.

Not that it was important, nor could the hotel have done anything about it, but we had a room with a balcony, which is side on to the river. Outside our room, there is work being done on the property opposite and a couple of mornings, it was a little noisy. It didn't spoil our break though.

The front of house staff were excellent. Our room was very good and quiet. The bar staff and restaurant staff were excellent.

The Housekeeping was not up to 5 star standard. Beds not made that well and not turned down in the evening. On one day we had to ask three or four times for our room to be made up. The sandwich we ordered at the bar was badly made by the kitchen.
